Nice video. My wife and I did Imogene in 2018 in a Jeep Wrangler (2" lift and LT tires). We came from the Ouray side and did lunch in Telluride. At the top, there were two things that amazed me, other than the fantastic view. First, was a person (female) running over the pass from the Telluride side. She looked to be about 70. Even in the best shape of my life (Army) there is no way I could jog up Imogene pass! Second, again coming up from the Telluride side, was a Chevy Suberban pulling a camper trailer! The Nebraska license plates explained some of it, but I have no idea how he got up there (let alone how he got down the other side)! Good memories you brought back. Thanks for the video!
Man...those are some great memories up on that trail for ya. We didn't see anything crazy beside the beautiful view and the hawk trying to eat my drone haha
When I was a kid in the 80's, my parents & I did Imogene in a rented basic CJ-7. The climb up the switch backs above treeline were covered in snow in August. In one stretch the snow was twice as high as the jeep & we had to hug the snow. Two weeks later my aunt & uncle tried to do Imogene & the snow had slid & took out the road. Sad to see no snow there, it was probably there for hundreds of years.
Wow...those are great memories. This area I imagine gets alot of snow during winter but we didn't encounter any when we went. Still such a beautiful trail and area.
You had great weather! Did Imogene, (and Engineer), last summer, ('21), with my daughter. It was a great experience. Nice video. Thanks for the memories!
Haven't been able to take the new truck out yet. Don't feel comfortable going alone. Need to find a group to meet up with to school me. Lol. But I don't have the nuts to do that area or the steps from earlier video
@@heathjobe6431 Man...when I started more off roading I would go alone but only one easy dirt road and even then I was super nervous. But yea...rocky, rutted trail you need a spotter
I think so...a few areas might need a big more clearance but I did see stock Tacoma on the trail...as long as you take your time and pick the right line it shouldn't be an issue

Colorado has possibly the most beautiful natural scenery. I can only imagine the things you got to see not to mention experience. Awesome vid, man!
I must agree...we have some beautiful trails and area in SoCal but Colorado trail system and view is one of my favorite mountain views.

We definitely did...was really stoked we missed all the rain a week before
Kinda cool up there huh? I used to live in Ouray, been up there a lot. Thanks for the video.
That drone shot with the Hawk in it was amazing!
I was blown away at how close he got to the drone...glad he didn't destroyed it.
Whoooo, Second!!!
🤣
That is a beautiful place. One day!
If you can..it's a must see

Haha...I feel ya. it's no fun going alone
@@Michael_Tran I refuse, tried once and scraped something underneath. No damage, but was enough to realize my mistake of being without a spotter

Whoo, first!
Can always count on Wincent!
Great video!
Great video! Love to visit there someday. Will a stock trd off road taco make it. Thanks

Is this trail doable in a crew cab f150 ?
If you have a 4x4 with high clearance you should be fine
How long does it take to complete this trail?
If you rush through it around 2-3hrs...we took around 4-5hrs to have lunch take pics and sightseeing a bit
What do you do for a living?
I have a maintenance business
Curious I always thought you had a 2wd taco ? Or do you just make 2wd vids for the people out there or did you get a new taco
I got a new Tacoma the beginning of the year. It's a 4x4 but as promised I still doing trails and see if it's 2wd friendly
@@Michael_Tran that’s door man I can’t wait to be back in Cali no a few weeks so I can take my wk2 jeep out on some trails
idk how you make time to go out lol. i work 5-6 days a week lol. rest day off.
This was from one 10 days trip...but Iam self employed so it's a bit easier
The views from the top are beautiful. That poser rock spot looks a little sketchy 😅lol
It's by far one of my favorite view. That rock had me super nervous...because from my perspective I couldn't see anything in front of me haha
Trust in God Mike..
Haha..had to on that spot
Pleaaaaase slow down the pan shots - it's disorienting and hard to see anything you're shooting.
Ill do that next time...hard to see how shaky it is when im filming but also looking at at the view
