    I love love love this racquet. Been living with this for the last week from tw. I just wish it gave me anywhere close to the amount of spin I get from the vcore 98 demo I’ve been running side by side

      Try the new extreme tour, tons of spin but a nice blend of control and feel too.

    Played tennis since 8 years old. Bought this 5 months ago..... It's WAY TOO LIGHT if you are an advanced player and know how to swing. Its so light it forces you to tense up your wrist to give it the plough through it needs instead of relax and let the head weight do the work. It would need plenty of added weight. I sold it and went for the Blade Pro (H22) which is head heavy and honestly just needs a leather grip and nothing else really. If you don't want to intoxicate yourself and your bag with lead tape (tungsten strips are available though).... go for the Blade Pro. It's ridiculously stable... which is what I need.... and gives you the appropriate plough through in stock form. If you really love this racket profile.... go for the Head Pro Tour 2.0..... which is what this Wilson is based on. SAME EXACT SHAPE.... but the Head has weight built into it and requires no customisation.

      all of what you said applies to like 5% of rec players who are full on tennis nerds. This racquet is meant for the general mass.

    • @OldSkoolLegend
      @OldSkoolLegend Рік тому

      Don't agree that it was meant for the general masses. It's just that information about pro stocks etc became more widely known and caused beginners to start targeting pro rackets to make them feel good about their tennis. I blame the drive to imitate instead of improve. pathetic.@@nd7434

    So is this racket foam filled? Feels like the reviews for this and the 18x20 mention a dampened feel possibly due to foam filling, but dont say if it has it for certain.

    Compared to the TF 305 16X19, would you say the Ultra Pro provides more control, but less power?

    Crazy similar specs with artengo tr960 control tour 16x19

      Yes, both very maneuverable control racquets. We have hit with the Artengo TR960 Control Tour both 16x19 and 18x20, and they reminded me a bit more of the Dunlop CX 200 Tour racquets, but with a different feel, whereas these Ultra Pro racquets pack a bit more punch or energy return. Troy, TW

    I don’t like so much flexible feeling like blade..

    • @tenniswarehouse
      @tenniswarehouse  Рік тому +2

      This Ultra Pro feels more maneuverable or head light feeling in stock form. Both are flexible in terms of how we measure the stiffness rating, which is the RDC machine that detects the flexibility in the middle of the frame, or the throat region. That said when playing with the racquet I noticed a bit more firm or crisp feel on contact with the Ultra Pro, so I am thinking maybe it is a bit firmer in the hoop up near the contact point. Why does TW sell the Ultra Pro but not the Blade Pro?

    • @tenniswarehouse
      @tenniswarehouse  Рік тому +1

      I believe it was something that was offered by Wilson, and so we definitely took the opportunity to carry the Ultra Pros. Prior to that we had a limited amount of the Six One 95 18x20 v13, but in the past we were never able to carry anything from the Wilson Pro Labs. So we are hoping that we may be able to get more of the Pro Labs racquets, such as the Blade Pros, and personally would love if we had the v14 glossy paint Six One 95 18x20, but we will see if we get more opportunities for those in the future. This Ultra Pro 16x19 v4 feels a bit more maneuverable, or slightly more head light feeling in stock form, and for me has a slightly firmer crisper feel up in the hoop. The Blade 98 16x19 v8 has the same average swingweight listed, but feels a bit heftier to swing, a bit more plow through, and a slightly more muted feel in my opinion. Troy, TW

    Why did they make the string pattern so tight on the 16x19? I mean you already have an 18x20. If it had a Pro Staff like string pattern, it would've been the perfect racquet.

      @@hermannniedermeier4697 Read my comment above. I explained it there. If you are truly advanced... you will like the Blade Pro more since it has the right level of swing weight. you wont need to add any weight to it. I added a leather grip to mine because i needed more weight in the handle. But the Ultra Pro is jus way too light man. They say its for customization.... but jeez.... half the racket weight is missing. I didnt like it.

    How does this compare with Vcore 95 (2023)? Thx

    • @tenniswarehouse
      @tenniswarehouse  Рік тому

      Both are pretty maneuverable and easy to swing, and also offer a lot of control and feel. I would say that the VCORE 95 has a bit more pop or feels like there a is a bit more energy return. Both are relatively spin friendly but I would give the edge to the VCORE 95 2023 in terms of spin. Troy, TW

    How does feel compare to gravity pro

    • @tenniswarehouse
      @tenniswarehouse  Рік тому +1

      biggest difference will be maneuverability and swingweight. This Ultra Pro is very maneuverable and fast feeling in stock form, whereas the Gravity Pro swings with more heft, and has that built in plow through you typically find in a racquet with a swingweight in the mid-330 range. Besides that both have a very nice feel and comfort coming from the relatively thin beam, very precise feel with the Ultra Pro, and a bit more forgiving with the Gravity Pro. Troy, TW

    Every new modern racket release nowadays have Dampening Muted Feel, NO POP, not solid and too soft. Best Wilson is still BLX generation after that it was Countervail which was totally Trash what they made up until now.

    • @andrewseung2692
      @andrewseung2692 7 місяців тому

      I will both agree and disagree with you on that. On one hand, the KFactor Tour 90 was the best feeling racket that I have ever hit with in terms of having amazing feel, good pop (for a 90), and solid. Yes the rackets nowadays have too much tech but I would also argue that it can be a good thing. For example the Head Prestige Pro still has (at least in my opinion) the base of what made it so great in the past with small improvements with some (but not a lot) tech that hasn’t hampered the racket too much. Now is it as good as prestige’s in the past? No, it isn’t but it still retains the base while making it more accessible in the modern game that is more focused on having fast swing speeds to generate huge amounts of power and spin, rather than the game of old which relied on placing serves, having big serves, and/or volleying.

    Wilson... these are for advanced players. If we want light rackets, you have a whole range of them. so PLEASE... can you beef these up and stop pandering to the beginner market? These are supposed to be the Pro Labs.... Why should we have to mess with lead tape just because the lower level players want to have access to these frames? They got the clash, the burn, the blah blah blah..... BEEF THESE UP.

    • @josh-yq4pz
      @josh-yq4pz Рік тому

      these frames are most likely made for customization hence their low static weight and swingweight. most pros use very light frames/pro stock racquets and apply their own lead and weight to get the performance they’re looking for. so in most ways, these pro lab racquets are made specifically for advanced players who want to essentially make their own racquet from a solid foundation.

    • @OldSkoolLegend
      @OldSkoolLegend Рік тому

      @@josh-yq4pz Yeah i know all that... but it's still too light. I wanna add just a few strips of weight... not piles of it. jeez.

    • @nd7434
      @nd7434 Рік тому

      dude there are a wide range of players other than you, why would they beef it up to alienate beginners/intermediate. if you want more weight, add lead tape yourself. Wilson is all about making money. BTW, these racquets ARE for beginners, its a damn pure drive , ezone, extreme clone.

    • @OldSkoolLegend
      @OldSkoolLegend Рік тому

      if you want beginner rackets... there are plenty to choose from. Finding a true players frame is difficult... its not fair that most rackets are out there targeted at beginners and when advanced players finally find something they like... they still gotta compromise for the beginners? ridiculous. There are plenty more options for beginners. Yes Wilson is out to make money... just annoys me as soon as a player frame is out there, you start reading comments about making them lighter and more beginner friendly... WHY?? go get a friggin clash if you want that.@@nd7434
