Hey Glads! I had a lot of the same feelings/thoughts. I loved the paint job. One of the best out right now IMO. When I warmed up with it, for being a “stiff” racquet, it felt comfortable surprisingly (like the new Clash feel) and it felt pretty nice on groundstrokes. But when I took it into high level point play, it couldn’t hold up. It was really getting pushed around. Serving was tough, no mass behind the ball. Returning was the same issue. I tried adding a bunch of lead and it still couldn’t hold up to heavy balls. But for 4.0 ish and below, this is a nice stick. This should appeal to quite a lot of players age wise too. Young and old. If you’re looking for help in the power department with nice feel on contact, this is a good option. Wish they would have made a 97/98 version that was heavy. Might have been a great option for higher level players. BTW, after months of demoing I settled on the new E Zone Tour for the foreseeable future. You guys should give it a go, feels just like the regular 98 but more weight in the throat/handle area and a little more solid on contact. Hope all is well!
Hey Charlie, thanks so much once again man!! Definitely agree with you!
Thank you guys for this vid. I’m waiting for you to decided buying this sword. You guys amazing.
8:13 I don't know whats more impressive. How low the ball bounces of the Grisha backhand or that defense by Areg. Great vid as always btw!
Depends on who you ask, I guess 😂😂 As I am the one responding, definitely Grisha's backhands 🤪😂
Tbh I love the design of this racket.
Thanks guys for this fun well balanced review! I picked up three Wilson Ultra 97 racquets 🎾 when they went on the "you're stupid if you buy this racquet" SALE!! haha of course they weren't talking about me! 🤷♂️ 😅 I managed to hit a few lines with them 😉 Love ya guys thanks again for all the cool videos! 💯👍❤️🎾🙏
Thank you very much! Hahahaha, well, the 97 is a very different racket though!
@@gladiatorstribe yes different racquet 😬 it was unpopular, got a bad review from TW and definitely had some issues, I didn't take the time, but a little bit of lead tape here and there would probably fix it up nicely, and playing around with the string setup too! 🎾👍💯 Thanks guys 🙏
I've always thought Areg was my spirit animal - after this review I'm not so sure.
I agree 100% with everything Grish said after demo'ing this racquet myself. I can't handle the racquet and I don't think it suits very many playstyles.
My only other take-away from this was that sometimes you guys struggle a little with English but hearing Grish say "... then we're Gucci ..." made me laugh.
Well, the thing is that this racket suits a specific category of players, that Areg happens to fit in. For those of us outside of that group, this racket might seem quite unaccommodating.
I buy this racquet for it's gorgeous paint job, then decide to watch the review afterwards 😂.
Good thing it's not a bad one, and seems to suit my playstyle! Good purchase! 🎉
Do you think that stringing certain rackets at higher tensions or less, would change how your playtests would go? And if so, how would you decide on a fitting tension. Also, like always really good video, very entertaining and can't wait for next one.
you guys should review the Dunlop cx200 tour!
Ezone 100 2022 would be my choice. Great colour though.
Are you the same guy who rants about Head having too much technologies in their racquets? LMFAO
Another great review. Grazie! Clash V2 100 vs this Ultra. Which racquet would you take to a match if you had to pick one of the two? Ciao, John
Guys, now that you have some kind of agreement with tennis warehouse, why not expand the reviews to balls, string, shoes..etc...?...sigan mejorando!!!
I hope you'll do a review for the newest version of the wilson blade. Your channel is 🔥🔥🔥
Add weights at 9 and 3 to add stability.
Same type racquets...Ultra Elbow Crusher and Pure Elbow crush Drive.
My first GT review. First time the guys reviewing are GOOD players, which makes it more credible.
Ultra v4 sounds like a niche racket for younger guns with lots of power to crush the ball. I'm just turning 60, so not a "retirement racket" for me. Oh, I did subscribe to GT.
Thank you very much! For the feedback and for subscribing! Hahahaha well, I'm 21 and this racket isn't for me either 😂 Took quite a bit to answer soo... Happy Late Birthday, maybe? 😂🥳
Make a review on artengo top line racquets please
I know it's been a while but i am an intermediate tennis player and i am confused. Should i buy wilson ultra 100 v4 or blade 98 v7. These are my options. Because of the ultra is newer i am confused
Please review the Prince ATS Tour 98.
I would also second, that they review artengo rackets since its also avail in spain. Not everyone can afford to buy rackets with 200-250 us/euro.
Hi glads another great review! Im currently playing with the 360+ speed mp with some weight added and now I’m looking for a bit more control do you think switching to the 2022 speed pro is a good idea?
👍👍
That paint job is beautiful but I know this racquet would be sh*t for my game 😂
Whats a good string tension for this?
Thanks! Please advise me the suitable string for this. I want more control.
Thank you! Honestly, the Cyclone that we were using in the video is not a bad option.
This or ezone 100 2022?
They recommend me this one for beginner but what are your recommendations for a beginner ??
Thanks !!
This could definitely do for a beginner! It has a pretty big sweet spot and it's a powerful racket. That's only if this weight isn't too much for you.
I have the same racket
I'm coming from a pure strike 100 3rd Gen and ik that line isn't your favorite but sometimes it gives tennis elbow and I'm wondering, can you recommend a racquet that is a little softer while giving as much if not more power and spin? Control isn't a huge issue for me as i don't hit deep or wide too often. Thanks in advance!
Maybe consider some Yonex rackets. The Vcore 100 or the Ezone 100 for example. They're quite soft on the arm even though the stiffness rating isn't that low.
For a beginner Would you recommend this one over the ezone 100 or the pure drive or any other technifibrr ?
Thanks !
I was literally going to recommend the Ezone 100 having seen your other comment. All of these could work if you're okay with this weight. The PD is a bit stiff for some, so maybe not the best option. If I were a beginner, I'd go for the Yonex 😉
Роскошно!
