Yes, I've done a ton of research on my own, but what you do is so helpful! It's like having a FUN non-boring class with a really good teacher that makes you want to learn! Just... thank you!

      I second this comment, thank you so much Dora. I have been doing research for the past two years and your channel has given me all the knowledge, information, and confidence to create and pursue my business around bath bombs. I'm back in your channel to brush up on some knowledge as I am in the design and formulation stage. Again, thank you for all you do for us! 🙏
      Also, I have been trying to find a video you made about how different additives can produce different foam and vigor in the bath bomb. Could you provide me with the link please?

    A huge thank you to you Dora, for how honest you are...... and also my mum and dad tell me that it's always better to be honest and respectful towards people because it always helps..... but anyway, this honesty and truthful rule is a regular rule in my family..... but either way, these tips you have shared especially when it comes to knowing what is approved by one place when it comes to cosmetics, bath and body products, is really important since i live in India..... and by you saying these tips you have really helped me understand that even if i am from a different country, it's ALWAYS better to see what is approved by the government of that particular country or countries you are selling or shipping the products..... and by the way, i am a bit of a nerd when it comes to things that deal with crafts and other things, including bath and body products and cosmetics...... so thank you for all the help you are giving all of us....... 🙂

    Hey Dora! that's such an interesting video. I have to say out of all the soap and bath bomb UA-camr, your channel is where I learn the most. We're setting up a homestead at the moment, in a small village of Portugal. While we're busy setting up the land. I cannot stop myself from thinking about the next step. And you guessed it, the next step is creating bath products and candles for a kiosk that we'll have on our land and where glampers will have the chance to buy handmade products by us and other villagers. I'm so puzzled though, what's most cost-effective and offer the best return on investment. Soap, candles or Bath bomb? I seem to recall you did candles in the past when you gave us a tour of your studio. Now, my mind is buzzing with ideas, but I don't know where to invest or start... Have you noticed if one product sells better than any others? Thanks in advance for your answer - and keep up the good work. I love watching you xxx

    • @CreativeBathLab
      @CreativeBathLab  2 роки тому

      I'd love to help you, but I don't sell any of my products. I can say that candles are easy, packaging is easy, they stay good for a LONG time, storing them is easy, making them is easy, too. I could crank a lot of those out in one evening, no matter what. Bath bombs are tricky little bastards; weather humidity ingredients all have an effect on the outcome. Plus, you'd have to develop a recipe that NEVER fails & never breaks - like a rock hard bath bomb. I don't know, wish I could help more

    • @SimpleLifePortugal
      @SimpleLifePortugal 2 роки тому

      @@CreativeBathLab Hey :) well, you already have helped a lot :) I think Candles would be good to convey my glamping branding once we're up and running. And good that they have a long shelf life. The other issue with the other product I see is that in Portugal not easy to source essential oil and fragrance oil. So, we might have to distill our own and then candles would present less risk of a lawsuit if make one that's too potent :D

    I'm so grateful for this video tutorial and so bummed that I missed the entry for the amazing giveaway... I do hope that the winner enjoys them though! I am wondering a few things... #1 Do you include the ingredients used in your products when people order from you? I am extremely new to some crafting areas and I am really excited to get started with projects that I have learned from your incredible tutorials - and the incredibly detailed information you include in your descriptions below your videos - thank you for taking your time to write up that for every tutorial you post! It's incredibly helpful and so very appreciated! #2 After watching this video I think that all the products you use and link are safe and approved so if I start by using products you link then my products should be safe as well - I can eventually branch out and experiment with other products and colors, etc. after I get comfortable with the process... Again, thank you for the incredible, easy to follow tutorials and for everything you put into each video! I hope you are having a wonderful 2022 - Take care and stay safe!

      I don’t sell my products YET- simply bc at the moment I don’t have enough time. All products linked are safe, but a few, for example- some of the neon colorants aren’t FDA approved. You don’t have to list anything, but I WOULD… some people are going to ask anyways (most won’t)- but it’s better to be fully prepared & upfront if you’re serious about starting & growing a successful business

    Hello what is the best to use for lotion and doesn’t dye your skin? And how do you mix it with the lotion?

    • @CreativeBathLab

      A little bit of Micah would probably be best in lotion and just mix it right on in there. No it doesn’t stain

    Hi Dora, firstly THANK YOU so much for your videos, always so informative and detailed! Question: have you tried or considered using edible glitters / sprinkles etc. on bath bombs? Might be more expensive than micas and cosmetic grade, but I wonder if that would make it FDA approved? Would love your opinion... Have an amazing weekend! :)

    • @CreativeBathLab
      @CreativeBathLab  2 роки тому

      It’s totally safe- I have used it. It is more expensive in general for sure (or else I’d use it more). And I wouldn’t think it’s FDA-approved - after all liquid food color isn’t approved. They’re big on “intended uses”. So if it’s not made for cosmetics, it’s not approved for cosmetics

    Also, it would be fun to figure out how to get the bath water a certain color. If I had to guess, I would think a dye would be dominant to color the water the shade I want, even though I have 3 other colors in the bath bomb (thinking of rainbow or confetti colors)... or would the colors just mesh together? I'm going for pretty colored bath water...dont want boring water afterall hahaha. Have a rockin day darlin!!! Diane

    • @CreativeBathLab
      @CreativeBathLab  2 роки тому

      U bring up a great point. And this is something I’m always conscious of! you’re right- the dye would be the dominant color. so for instance if you did blue and orange together the water would come out an ugly muddy brown, but if you did a blue dye and a very light touch of orange, it’d probably come out more of like a pretty turquoise color.

    I'm unclear on the food gel coloring -- so can it be used in bath products for sale or is food coloring not approve by the FDA for use in bath products that are being put on the market for sale? I couldn't find any specific information on this anywhere online. Can someone please clarify? Thanks.

    • @CreativeBathLab
      @CreativeBathLab  Рік тому

      It can be used in bath products, it is 100% safe. You may sell them absolutely. Food color in bath items isn't FDA approved (bc that's not food colorant's intended use), but I don't see the FDA coming after you- at all. The FDA cracks down (which they should) if you use prohibited items that could potentially be harmful. There is a list of items the FDA strictly prohibits for use in bath items. Chemicals & substances that are harmful when exposed to skin. Even then, the only way they know is if someone notifies them of potentially harmful products that are being sold. So, if you're items are safe, you're good.

    Regarding natural colorants like activated charcoal, red beetroot powder, turmeric, and spirulina, would the process be the same as with dye? Bloom, create the liquid color, then the color powder?
