Hi! I'm planning to also do this on my small pedalboard. Wouldn't it be much easier if you just bend the LED strip instead of cutting them? Is it also much better to just purchase the one that comes with its own power adaptor? I'm unsure whether I need to purchase the USB one or the one with power adapter. Cheers!
Yes you could bend them I suppose but at the bend points they might not stick correctly and could lift off the surface in time. Also by cutting them and laying them in three straight lines, it gives a more uniform lighting. The only reason I didn't buy one with a power adapter was that I wanted to power it from my pedal power supply so that there would be fewer cables coming out of the board.
This is seriously AWESOME. I Love it. I ll keep this in mind and might do it myself. Thanks a million for this brilliant idea !
Appreciate the video Liam. Can you please specify what the Brand and model for the LEDs?
Looks nice Liam! What's the name of the track? I nearly fall asleep lol, it's so relaxing.
Thanks for the video, I think 1 single strip underneath was bright enough, anymore was too bright imo

@@LiamOConnorAudio Ok thanks. Can I put this in a Daisy chain? I have a 1-Spot pro but all the plugs (ports) are already used up
What kind of cable did you use to solder the led’s together?
Any small gauge electrical cable should be fine.
LiamOConnorAudio thank you, also, did you have to use two of those cables to connect the other strip or was it only one?
Two of them are needed
One for the live and one for the earth connections
LiamOConnorAudio oh ok I see, like one for main conductor and the other is for ground
What pedalboard is that?
It's a Harley Benton Spaceship 80.
