- A year after the loss of his father, Ridley and his mother, Gloria, move to Western Australian to live with Ridley's estranged grandfather Spencer. Once there, Spencer tries to connect with Ridley but all efforts usually lead to conflict. Ridley ends up lost deep in the outback on a quest to try to get home. Meanwhile, Spencer and Gloria search the outback for Ridley. Spencer tries to reassure Gloria that her son will be OK, all the while trying to come to terms with the loss of his only child. While suffering the elements of the Australian outback (especially for a kid from New York), Ridley manages to save a dingo, Buckley, from a leg trap. The two develop a bond and both boy and dog try to survive the elements to get Ridley back home.

@@ChrisAbbott yeah it’s an English variety for sure. Less broad then most, but there are a lot of country folk with similar accents. Fairly accurate. Listen to Kate Blanchett, Liam Hemsworth and Steve Erwin and you can here there is a wide variety in Aussie accent.

Ha ha ha.. Yes you're right mate... Some people have no imagination or writing skills and are moribund when it comes to expressing themselves... Anther one that disturbs me enormously are those people who constantly say "LIKE" as in.." IT WAS LIKE REALLY DARK AND LIKE WE WERE PRETTY DRUNK AND SALLY LIKE FELL ON HER FACE AND LIKE HURT HER NOSE".... that is just fucking horrible to listen to...

I was forced to endure one of the most pathetic movies in movie history. All the actors should hang their heads low, for their acting abilities were crap, the director must of just came out of kindergarten. Out of 10 I'd give minus 10.

Most of the Australian film industry as a whole is pretty crappy. 😩😩 I really would rather support Asian films since they make better content
