I think this moment is bittersweet. On the one hand she can grow old with the man she loves. On the other hand she had the possibility of living young forever as long as she isn’t killed by anything.
Living young forever was torturous for her. Imagine watching everyone you love die over and over with each new attempt at relationship. Her daughter was a constant, but one day her daughter would be gone as well.
Statistically, the longer you live, the higher probability you have of being killed by something. As an example, 2 people a year are killed from vending machines. So your chances of death by vending machines are incredibly low. However, live long enough, and the percentages will eventually catch up to you.
How ironic that her second real love would be the son of her first real love, and that she would get to grow old with him instead. At least now she doesn't have to run. In the end BOTH of her true loves would get to see her age.
Surprised her husband’s spirit didn’t appear. I am also surprised she didn’t avoid using the Golden Gate Bridge, he died working on it during its construction.
It is quite painful.I have been in a situation when there were 2 sisters when 1 has been in love with me and I had been in love with the other.Lot of heartbreaks occured and it wasnt nice.I am still traumatised by 1(1 year gone).
I really enjoyed that movie. I hadn't really heard much about it. Just looking for something to watch and the description sounded interesting. Plus Harrison Ford, etc. I really loved it. The young man that played young Harrison was brilliant and lovable.
You know, I kind of wish that she had shown the gray hair to Ellis and Flemming. They could have been dismissive about it, only to suddenly realize the implication and be excited for her.
Yeah I was puking by the end of this movie. She boned both father & son and now her ex-boyfriend is her father in law and we are supposed to find it a cute romantic ending? Maybe if I was from Alabama💀💀💀
Even knowing that it meant you could never grow past your current age? That your friends would outgrow you, that you might have to constantly move and reinvent yourself? Not to mention, if you have kids…you’d have to bury them
@@andreasv9472 The rich and the government will come to capture and put you in a lab for research. You can't run away and live a normal life without an ID to prove who you are. 😅😅😅😅
its a sign of aging even if you do it younger then most people. Its still a physical change. She has had no physical change but weight loss/gain since her original death. So yeah its a sign her body is back to aging again.
Shes delighted because she's had a long unnatural life. She's with her boyfriend now who she can share a life with and die with without outliving him and going on for another few decades without. Peace
Yes but your loved ones will die one by one while live forever and forever. And Christ doesn't guarantee immortal life on earth, but in heaven. After you die. Duh.
I think the ending is so unfair for everyone. She will see her daughter pass away before herself. The guy she loved and that loved her will also die before her and she has his copy from Temu to replace him.
To lose loved ones in death is one of the most painful experiences one could have. So it's no wonder Adaline is so happy seeing her aging again. If you are the only one on earth who may live forever, you will lose countless people-an everlasting life of emotional pain. That's not worth living for. But imagine that everyone on earth will live forever without aging, death, diseases, war, catastrophes, hunger, or injustice in a perfect world. And imagine that dead beloved ones come back to life again. According to the Bible, this is God's promise for the near future! Would you like to learn more about this new world? If so, ask Jehovah's Witnesses next time you meet them. They would love to tell you about the Bible's hope!
Is it just me, or did the narration in this movie take anyone else out of it a bit? I mean, if it had just ended with that note, and shown us the comet, without narration, we could've pieced it all together ourselves. Is it just me?
The FBI were after her due to her ageless abilities. They would've taken her captive and conduct experiments on her. That's why she was always on the run and kept changing her IDs.
Seriously? It's common sense really.... She's been trying to live a normal life but keep having to run away and change identities so people won't notice her being ageless.......
I was expecting a liile more from this movie. I thought for sure the goverment was trying to trac her down. It wasn't a bad movie. I just thought threre would be more.
I’d be honest. If I had the disease she had at that time. Do you know how insanely rich I’d be and smart ? Yes Ofc the endless death would be a tragedy. But I can just think of all the good I can do for the world. I’d be lonely, but I live long enough to raise all my descendants . I’d be a god father. I’d live to fix world hunger and cure cancer. Anyone great mind with a disease like that would to. Imagine Albert Einstein ? Steven hawkings before his condition. They’d discover everything and we’d evolve into much higher versions of humans we are now. Endless possibilities. It’s just that these great scientist just didn’t have enough time.
Adaline ages again but due to the strain of biologically living for 100 years, her cells start catching up to the chronological decay, speeding up the aging process to unprecedented rates. one grey hair turned into thousands an hour, until she eventually sagged and died the next day.
I have to say that this movie made me shed a few tears.
Yes the latter half is so good and I was truly crying
When her dog died I wept the worst.. 😢
They chose the perfect actress for this role.....Blake lively is stunning and ageless.
Instead of resuming the aging process, it would have been so funny if she had aged instantaneously to her original age😂

She must have felt overjoyed that she was free.
A woman who's happy to see a grey hair..definitly a work of fiction
If it was real I think she would be. No more running and lying to everyone around you. You can finally live like everyone else.
The one case where I can see a lady would accept a grey hair. I must admit the movie turned on my waterworks.
The joy of finally growing old 😊

Aging not heart disease
You’d Still gain weight and die from a heart attack, she’s not untouchable immortal, she just doesn’t age and can still die from normal things

Meh. I wouldn't be happy if I start aging again. Aging costs money. I'd get myself struck by lightning if that's what it takes to live young forever.

I would have preferred to stay young. Im growing old and this thing about "wisdom" is terribly overrated. Age gets you pain, and aches, and infirmity
I would want an inbetween compromise. No apparent signs of ageing until you die suddenly from a heart attack or something.
