I love your thoughts on fast fashion! it’s pretty bad for our environment but you can’t always avoid it, so it’s important to take care of what you buy

I have a bunch of t shirts from Target, which are technically fast fashion, and I wash and then air dry them on a drying rack. So far they are on their 3rd year of heavy wear and they still look great. I think that if you take care of your stuff, even if it’s not the best quality, it can last a long time. I air dry most of my clothing and it makes a huge difference. I really love the pieces that you picked. You are also reminding me that I need some new jeans. I have one pair that I wear every day almost and they are wearing out. I usually thrift my denim but I have not had luck lately. I need to bite the bullet and maybe buy 2 pair that fit well.
Amen to the drying rack! I rarely ever use my dryer (only for stuff I don’t care about, like towels lol). I’m in the same boat when it comes to really taking care of your stuff to help it last longer. I haven’t had any luck thrifting denim :(
Any tips or tricks you have for taking care of your clothes? Agreed on the air drying-I use different detergents for different color loads, too.
@@NeelouGoodarzi Mostly just the drying rack! I bought a HUGE wooden one awhile ago that is made with thick wooden dowels to reduce stretching the items when drying. I also wash my clothes as little as I can...so I wear something MANY times before washing it. I do dry my denim in the dryer because I don't like how stiff and crunchy it is when it's air dried and some of my denim stretches out pretty much and needs the wet and heat to go back to normal. Towels I machine dry as well! Oh..and my kids clothes.
Ahh I also hate when my denim gets stiff and crunchy 😑 I need to get a drying rack like yours, though. Mine is the metal kind-and it’s nice and sturdy, but it definitely leaves stretch marks in my clothes. Thanks for watching 💕

Everything looks good on you. My body style is very different (old and round) so I go for different things. I found a great deal on Poshmark for a nice work type blouse and it was a better brand. It would normally be out of my price range. I have since bought 3 more in different prints. I have maybe more than I need but feel good about it since I didnt create more for the waste stream. For years I was so broke I had so little so I dont want to be a strict minimalist, more of have nothing I don't love even if I have a fairly good choice. Everytime my eye catches something in my closet that doesn't work I have a sinking feeling of regret. I have to do a clear out

Love your picks, we have similar taste! You even wear the "fast fashion" stuff the way I do; if you like it and it still works, you keep wearing it. Which IMHO means that it's a good buy, not "fast fashion." (Classics are like that.)
