Thanks again for a great adventure. You really add a lot of history and information about the places you visit. I love all the small details. I am in California and watch your videos every Sunday morning while I am having coffee. Be safe and enjoy ! See you next week.
@hashtag-dreamer thanks so much for all of your support and for watching our videos like that! Happy to hear that the information is interesting too! Hope you have an incredible week in beautiful California, and all the best!
@Rachel-sv9pq it's really cool how close it is eh! Also we were expecting it to be completely desolate, but it ended up being so much fun exploring and biking around! Take care eh!
though i followed you guys initially for the korea content. ive grown to love everything you do. its a fun routine to spend the end of my weekend before work starts back watching your videos that always upload late sunday arvo here in Australia. great video :)
@mach1neg thanks so much for watching our videos and supporting us like that! Really happy to hear that! Korea will definitely remain the main topic of our channel, and we hope to be able to explore a lot of other countries down the line and share our experiences as well! Take care and all the best eh!
I love your guys' perspective on travels as someone who lives in South Korea and always explores nearby travel destinations. Japan and China are the first countries I think of when it comes to traveling outside of Korea and it's great to see you guys go to less common but still beautiful places such as Hitakatsu!
@TimaMikheev thanks a lot! Definitely trying to find somewhat budget options to travel from Korea and this ended up being one of the most fun trips we've ever been on to be honest! Would definitely recommend going there if you are into biking around/trekking at all! All the best eh!
@jjandorliadul thanks so much! It was so beautiful biking through the forests. We got really lucky with the timing I think as well. Agree with you about focusing on the journey as well! Take care eh!
What a lovely trip!!! The island looks to be an tranquil, unassuming gem, perfect to randomly 'get lost on purpose' and appreciate quiet beauty and enjoy just being there. Perfect! Thanks a mill for sharing...as always ❤😊
@herahera7340 thanks so much for watching and for the kind words! Tsushima Island is certainly beautiful, especially for those who are willing to walk and bike a bit to experience it! All the best and take care eh!
The biggest takeaway from this video: Japan's convenience store pudding is out-of-this world by the wife's reaction 😅 Really feeling the nerdy video game references, the hidden (less well known) scenic trips, and keeping everything in the perspective of the common folk on a budget. It's almost like you're my twin brother (from a Canadian mother) lol
@ICDeadPeeps haha you don't need to eat expensive things in Japan because even the cheap desserts or snacks are out of this world! I think Yujin ate about 5 puddings within 3 days hahah. Glad to hear the budget perspective helps. Very lucky that it's somewhat reasonable to travel to other countries (especially Japan) from Korea. Happy to hear I have a twin too! 😁 All the best eh!
This is absolutely amazing, I can take the ferry from South Korea to Japan, another adventure to add to my list😊 Hitakatsu , Tsushima is absolutely beautiful and so serene 😊 As always your narration and brief history of each town you visit is truly top notch! Thank you for sharing another amazing video. Sending love to you and your beautiful wife from NYC 🗽🇺🇸 to beautiful South Korea 🇰🇷💕
@deidravargas2664 thanks so much for all of your kind words and support! Tsushima is really beautiful eh! If you extend your Korea trip and have some extra time in Busan, I think you could get away with doing a 1 night trip to Tsushima: taking the ferry in the morning, renting a bike when you arrive if you are okay with riding E-bikes (just walk around and explore near Hitakatsu if not), then stay in Hitakatsu near the ferry terminal (probably better than Toyoko Inn for convenience), and then walking around and exploring the next day before the ferry leaves back to Busan at 4pm. All the best in amazing NYC 🗽🇺🇸, and have an amazing week eh!
I had no idea that there was a Japanese island this close to Busan. What a great way to experience Japanese food and culture! 👍 I putting this on my growing list of places to visit when I come to Korea. Thank you for sharing it with us. 😊 Take care and have a wonderful week! 🇰🇷🚐🇨🇦
@misscaroline542 thanks for watching and for all of your support! Hitakatsu in Tsushima was way better than we were expecting, as on top of its beauty all of the restaurants we tried were quite good too (and there are more we wanted to try but couldn't). Definitely recommend it if you get the chance to! Hope you have a great week, and take care!
@Mudskipper9876 haha Toyoko Inn has always been perfect for us the few times we've stayed there, but it's getting a lot more expensive over time so it's hard to call it a true budget hotel these days. Tsushima is a beautiful island to walk and bike around too! All the best and thanks so much for all of your support!
@TheLilymarley thanks so much for the kind words and for watching! Slow tourism is our favourite way to see countries these days too, and we had no idea it would be this beautiful either. It's so easy to go there from Busan that I think it's going to be a regular trip for us! We did some research and there are some cheap ferries to Fukuoka too, so definitely keep that in mind as well! (We haven't been, but it looks quite amazing as well) All the best eh!
@@lostthenfound Thanks for your advices! Next year we will come to South Korea and after Japan , i think we will fly until Tokyo and will go back to Fukuoka with a lots of stop between and will take the Ferry until Busan. Take care!
@@TheLilymarleyI will be down there too, but not Tokyo as I will be flying in & back from Seoul there this time, there!!!.. but am really leaning in taking the ferry towards Kyushu island and Fukuoka particularly and staying a night or two … when u guys plan in going in the new year, there???.. dm back mates!! ☺️
Such a beautiful, peaceful place! The way you two share it with us all makes us feel like we are right there with you! Thank you for another lovely adventure!🌷☀️
@donnahollman4259 thanks a lot Mom! ❤️ It's a really nice island, and super beautiful to check out! If you guys keep getting that e-bike practice we could head over there no problem next time!
I remembered going to Tsushima for a visa run in 2018 because it was way cheaper than going to Osaka by plane, I stayed 2 hours at the port to comeback to Busan immediatly. If i go back there one day, i'll make sure to visit more than the port building ahah
@jeanmoulin3938 haha as someone who did visa runs from 2014-2018 I definitely considered doing that as well, but I was always worried it would seem "too obvious" to the immigration there. That's awesome that it worked out though! Definitely give a look around if you end up in Tsushima next time! Pretty awesome little place to ride a bike around especially!
amazing place! couldnt believe how cheap it was to get there, glad you got on your bikes again! Those forests you rode through looked like something out of a dream. Beautiful!
@BasicStealthcamping the forests were really beautiful eh! I think we got super lucky that the fall season extended pretty late this year. Hope all is well and you're enjoying the warm weather down under!
Love your videos! Always so informative.....I am interested in traveling here but never found much information (at least in English) before your video. Thanks to your efforts!! Much appreciation!
@wgima3857 thanks a lot for the kind words and for watching! We couldn't find much information that was very convincing either, but ended up just going for it and really enjoying our trip there. I think if you are into walking/biking at all I think it's a place that's worth exploring! Take care and all the best eh!
@Protonoto1 can't wait until next time! The ferry to Fukuoka is only like ¥4,000 (+ fees/taxes) without a car sometimes too apparently. Going to try and hop on that within the next few months! Hope all is well!
@@lostthenfound Nice, I haven't been to Fukuoka yet, Hiroshima is the farthest south I've been. Hiroshima city is well worth seeing, especially the peace park.
I reckon you'd love Miyajima too. You love a good trek, and there's either the cable car or foot path up to the top of the hill, great view once on top.
@@lostthenfoundwhere did you see this, there???.. the online site that I saw is like 19,000 & something ¥, there. A direct link with that price will be great. Keep an eye on talking about a two-way there and am leaning towards going to Fukuoka (Kyushu island) from Busan, there. 😒
Thank you for the great introduction to Tsushima. I enjoyed you vlog and it is a bonus for me to see you on bikes again. It's so good when you get totally immersed in a joyful moment as you did. Regards
@howardlee7189 thanks so much for all of your support Howard! Tsushima is definitely a beautiful place that's perfect for a little cycle around. Was great to get back on the bikes again too, and we're starting to look at racks to put on the back of our van that doesn't take up too much space, so hopefully we can film some cycle adventures together again soon! (Sometime after the winter)
What will you recommend visiting more… this island and city or Fukuoka in Kyushu island???.. will be down that way in & around April. There mate!!!.. which one will you say is cheaper as well??.. any recommendation helps there!!!.. I’ll be in Busan and think will take a ferry into 🇯🇵 there!!!.. greetings from ur fellow 🇨🇦 mate! 😉
@KakisKakis-tk7rv I've never been to Fukuoka/Kyushu, but to be honest it'd probably be more interesting to check those areas out for most people. Tsushima is really beautiful and the cheaper option, but Fukuoka will be easier to get around and have a lot more things to see (wouldn't be surprisde if there is a lot of beautiful nature there too). Also hello fellow Canucker! 😊🇨🇦
Ah yes, the Japanese post office it a godsend, it just makes sense, although my wife and I have never had to as we bring yen converted in the US. Last time, our bank gave us notes that are rare in Japan so everyone we paid made a huge deal when we used them. My wife wants to do the ferry trip at some point. I get major motion sickness so not sure how I will fair. We have taken the ferry to Miyajima Island, which didn't make me sick. Your wife laughing is hilarious. Were those bike electric assist bc I would not be able to bike thst much without one...haha...
@DanLee8884 haha that's awesome they gave you guys rare bank notes! I think I had a similar experience my first time coming to Korea, with some coins from the 80s and 90s. This ferry was quite sturdy and smooth, so I think it's not too bad for people with motion sickness. Would be good to take some gravol or something beforehand just in case though. The e-bikes are electric assist, so it feels like you only have to pedal with about 50% of the effort or so. They weren't as "effort-free" as our e-bikes we had before though, so it was a bit of an exercise overall. All the best and take care eh!
I was so confused when Yujin would eat something by her expression on her face I thought she hated the food like the pudding it look like it tasted really bad.

Incredible shots biking through the forest. Also a great point putting emphasis on the journey as opposed to the destination.
