I wonder if the face huggers might implant hosts with different alien types. Hopefully there's a strong focus on lore and it's not just a splatter house flick.
Facehuggers having sharp hooks seems a bit silly - they need the host to be alive, not bleeding to death, and the tail/proboscis was always an ingenious way of incapacitating a host without injuring them.
Barbs don't have to injure a host enough to cause him or her to bleed to death, just aid its grip and encourage people not to try to remove it. A small amount of bleeding won't bother the xeno because they don't intend the host to live long enough to be bothered by a small amount of blood loss.
I'm so excited for this movie!! I look forward to hearing more about Alien 5 also, I'm a big fan of Blomkamp and definitely intrigued in what direction he would have taken the franchise, as he's clearly a fan of these movies.
The way Blomkamp tried to weasel his way into doing that film was a major red flag. The ideas to me sounded like complete garbage based on a clumsy attempt to manipulate the fanbase. Gladly, he got shut down. District 9 was an okay, modern day B movie that benefitted from low budget CGI technology. His other films, especially Chappie, were awful and he’s been run out of Hollywood it seems never to be trusted with big budget project again.
@@danielwoods3563 fair play fairly honest but since when have fox disney put down major money on a aliens film? Prometheus has a budget the sequel was no where near the same budget. Would of been cgi mess anyway.
Bummed out that they don't use the opportunity the ending of Covenant gave them. I mean a ship full of colonists and alien embryos. That plotline should have been resolved.

I’m pretty sure I’ll like it. I enjoyed all of the movies so far and never understood the dislike for Scott’s prequels. I kind of liked that it included some romanticism of the xenomorph on behalf of the engineers considering Giger had a romanticized vision of his creation. I thought it was a cool thing to do.
I loved the first two movies and from what I saw in the teaser trailer, it looks as though, Alien: Romulus, will be going back to that dark and claustrophobic setting. I can't wait for this movie to come out.

Also, is Disney going to make this political like they do everything? Hope not. I also hope this resembles the original film, as in looking like it's shot on film with practical FX, and not a bland digital CG fest. I love the Alien series (Not so much Prometheus and Covenant), and really want this to be good.

could be, honestly i would love for royal hugger to actually make an appearance on camera and not just become an cut out scene, would also be cool to see the pratorien facehugger as well, it would be unique to the movie in my opinion, regardless tho im hyped for this movie, just wish they'd return the avp franchise and make a new movie of it, and go back to classic looks of predators cause one from prey one was an oof for me

Pretty convient that they pick a weyland station ha. David has to be involved or mentioned in some way if he sent weyland info on xenos during covenant. I also got a kind of villain vibe from the brother android too. Maybe there's a queen xeno on board. So many possibilities.
This info makes me want to understand the spoilers and twists even more. I wonder how it takes place in between alien and aliens while properly expanding on the full mythos... Maybe hadlys hope before aliens, or maybe the covenant ship is what theyre breaking into. This film might suggest just how long the company was aware of the xenos...

I have a feeling that David is the one in the space station. You see someone pass by the facehuggers without getting affected. Something I’ve only seen David do with that alien creature in the engineers world. It doesn’t do anything to him because he’s a robot.
If they make some little Easter egg Connections to Prometheus and Alien Covenant then i would really like to see a Lab not only with Xenomorphs in it but Maybe a Tank or Two with some Hammerpedes Swimming around kinda like the Facehugger did in Aliens. It would also be cool to see some of the Neomorph Egg Sacks and Pathogen Urns Maybe in a Contained Place in a Lab, kinda like the Resident evil Labratorys and really really hope its true or coming like this in the Movie
@MikesMonsters, that has not been the case with me. I have friends who spoil whole movies and TV shows for me. Yet, I still get the enjoyment of the film/show. Spoilers do not have pacing, atmosphere, visual, sound, or feel. Spoilers make me want to see things more.

Facehugger fingers and David not being in the movie aren't much of a spoiler in context to the plot of the film like some folks have openly let out. Having seen the whole thing, I know what's a spoiler and what isn't.

First of all david is literally the best thing in prometheus/covenant. Period. Second,he didn't create xenomorph. He copied engineers work. At least tried to. Its allready well known since covenant was released. I cant believe there's so many people still commenting same false thing.

The Queen Hugger from Alien3 had a stinger so this new hugger could be a variant of that.
