    I made this for thanksgiving and it turned out amazing! It was easy to understand what to do and it turned out amazing. Although some things I did differently but all and all it turned out amazing

    These tarts are beautiful - very professional looking. I am going to make them this weekend. I want to make only 12 tarts and will make half the pastry cream recipe. If I make the full pastry recipe,can half be frozen for use at a later date? Thanks.

    You put five egg yolks in the cream, isn't that a lot? Doesn't it smell later? I want to make this recipe a lot, but five egg yolks seem a little too much for me, do you think I should?

      It will not smell because I added 1 tbsp of vanilla essence. Vanilla essence also can be replaced with vanilla pods.
