    It's fantastic to see these former world champions together again.. and what a treat to see Wayne Rainey riding with them also.. Wayne Rainey was my hero growing up watching real men on beautiful and unforgiving machines.. a far cry from today's dull racing

      Yeah, those times were awesome, but what dull racing are you indicating here? MotoGP, WSBK are far from dull imho. 4 wheel racing....yeah, that's a different story I agree!

      Glad to see those 2-Stroke PIGS gone. They had their strengths - BUT - thier weaknesses made them PIGS. Motorcycle racing is now far better due to the absence of 2-Stroke engines. I adore my 2-Stroke chainsaw and I am sure many adore their 2-Stroke Outboard motor - but - the race track is way better off without them.

    • @VH5150BAZ
      @VH5150BAZ 2 роки тому

      @@apistosig4173 well everyone is entitled to their own view, but if you had seen the real racing, when real racers battled their ‘pigs’ around a track, shoulder to shoulder, elbow to elbow, no electronic aids, just pure skill with the possibility of multiple winners every race instead of the procession we now have, you may have a different opinion. I politely suggest looking at some you tube videos of early 90’s races.

    • @apistosig4173
      @apistosig4173 2 роки тому

      @@VH5150BAZ I grew up admiring Roger DeCosta and Barry Sheen, I have stood trackside watching Rainey, Schwantz, Roberts, Lawson, Mamola, Spencer etc etc so I know. Those two-stroke MCs were pigs and many of the riders acknowledged this..

    • @VH5150BAZ
      @VH5150BAZ 2 роки тому +3

      @@apistosig4173 agree, they were really difficult to ride and like you I grew up surrounded by the smell of two stroke oil. The thing is that whilst they were so difficult to master it showed the skill of the rider, pure skill with no electronic aids. Our current motto gp bikes are incredible technically but the racing in the main has become dare I say, boring, there are few ‘battles’, it’s more of a procession, still better than F1 but no where near as exciting. Perhaps because the bikes were pigs made it all the better to admire the skill of a bike racer, feel and huge balls to get the most out of the bike.

    Legends together. The King my idol when I first got into bikes, his race with Bazza in '79 one hell of a memory. Watched them all at my local circuit Donington between 1981- 1994. Two strokes always been the racing bikes to watch and the skill required immense. Saw WR at Donington in 1984 when he was still racing a 250 after just coming over from the US following his AMA career.

    Mes idoles... j'en ai des frissons !!! J'adore Mick Doohan et Kenny Roberts, ce n'est pas la question, mais j'ai une petite préférence pour Kevin Schwantz qui avait un style inimitable et dont je me souviendrai toute ma vie de ce freinage d'anthologie sur Wayne Rainey lors du Grand-Prix d'Allemagne en 1991. J'ai encore l'enregistrement d'époque sur K7 vidéo que je regarde régulièrement... 😀✌
