Hi! Thanks for the great video, I'm having the Asus RT-AC68U Router, I'm thinking to upgrade my home network, shall I get a RT-AC5300 , GT-AC5300 or ASUS Mesh ZenWiFi AX XT8 WiFi 6?
Hi thanks for watching, I've taken bit of time off from UA-cam but appreciate the watch, firstly be sure you have updated the firmware and the process is pretty simple as seen in my video
I have the RT-AX58u and RT-AC68u setup as aimesh that replaced my airport extreme. i live in a 3 storey TH. I am so glad I went with asus, it is easy to set up and configure. I got the 68u used from kijiji.
Thanks for Watching, That is great news, As I have been running AI mesh the network stability been great, I will be doing another video for Performance speeds internal network with AI Mesh so stay tuned for more and tricks to bump up the wifi performance as well.
Thanks of your great video .... I had RT-AC5300 and RT-AC88U , which one to set as AiMesh node . For RT-AC88U during SSID setup there is a small box for option to tick separete the 5GHz and 2.4GHz ( if no tick will be auto ) , what about RT-AC5300 SSID setup , I can't find the small box option ( I prefer the auto function ) . Tri Band to Dual Band or Dual Band to Tri Band setup ... Please advise
Thanks for watching, both modes are fine I did find minimal differences because the 5300 reach was so good for my house, depends on how and where you set the other node will determine speed differences, moving the node 1 metre closer gain almost 50mbs on speed checker when I was getting 40 down and now sitting on 95 down with devices.
Hi mas, sorry for the late reply, i am doing a follow up video on the AI Mesh soon on installation and proper setup, this video was to show case the technology and software quick guide.
If i connect my smart home hubs to the AiMesh node (the second router) will that work? Will these get their own ip adresses and be available at the same admin router page?
The AI mesh converts both routers main and Node or nodes into one SSID either 2.4ghz or 5Ghz you will see each device through the web admin page or you can use your mobile device or tablet to control the network. you can individualize the routers and nodes to have there own IP address if needed as well through the settings, to answer your question yes each device in the house or office has there own IP address.
Thanks for watching, not at all can be downloaded from the app store and have control in your home or office or on the road. I use it when the kids are naughty turn the internet off on there iPads 😉😉 from my office.
Finally someone that explains this well and hooked it up Correctly!! Thank You
Glad it helped!

Hi thanks for watching, i have the RT-5300 which is fine, but this is older tech I would suggest the ASUS Mesh ZenWiFi AX XT8 WiFi .
Loved the video. I've been trying to AIMESH two AC5300 ASUS routers and It just won't work. Do you know if these can be AIMESHed?

Hi is the AC-68U or the AC-86U as a node better in an AI mesh system with the ROG AC-5300?
Good Video, Thank you Sharing.
if only i didnt already buy a new modem, great video
Thanks for watching which modem did you buy?
Netgear Nighthawk X4S D7800
Like a boss!
Sir you did not show/explain that both router need to update the firmware and the secondary router need to set as node.

Can I use Aimesh between GT AC5300 and AX88U?
Hi thanks for watching, yes if it's AI mesh Compatible which 90% of ASUS routers are.
@@PC419 thanks 🙇
Damn, maybe I should look at upgrading.
Thanks for watcvhing, i agree ASUS have done well with this one
Nice One.
I got AC5300, see if get the same model again and set as AiMesh can I also use the node network LAN connection or only could be used as WIFI?
You can use a Lan cable i used direct connection for one of my nodes
PC419 thanks 🙂
Nice.
Great review, but when showcasing a product maybe clean it? They look disgusting. The AC68U is a fingerprint magnet.
Thanks for watching, your telling me, we must of cleaned both routers about 10 times, but they are a dust magnet and do attract finger prints.
The best router!
The best investment.
Is your name "Mumbler"?
Why is that ?
sorry but your voice is quite muffled and unintelligible
Do apologize we did have mic issues that day
@@PC419 apologize is a strong word. Just I had problems understanding. Maybe it is something you could have an eye (or ear) out for next time.
