    Looking bad ass my man!! I do have a question for you on my 64 chassis, paint or powder coat? And why? Thanks for the input

      Powdercoat is only as durable as the prep job , much like paint. I believe powdercoat is more durable than basecoat clearcoat, but I dont think its as durable as epoxy primer. You can leave a piece of spi epoxy primer submerged in brake fluid and it doesn't touch it. (According to the owner of the company), powdercoat cannot stand up to brake fluid...

      @@lonestarlows ok, makes sense. I was going to go with paint but my cousins buddy has a powder coat shop and said he'd hook it up for 650, sand blasted and coated.

    How did you prep the trunk for paint after you already applied the raptor liner?

  • @gamareyna452

    Is there a big diference from 600 grid to 400 grid prior to painting I see you used to sand with 600 prior to paint like on the Billy Jean project
    Please advice I am doing my 65 buick lesabre just finished the first session of high build primer and sanded with 180

    • @lonestarlows
      @lonestarlows  2 роки тому

      600 is better IMO. For metallics is a must. Solid colors and a sealer with good quality basecoat u can get away with 320 grit...
