Rosemary is also called the "Happy Herb". So, I don't mind using something that may have a positive effect in my life for more than one reason. 😊 Thanks
I just saw a video of a bald man making a video about hair growth and a fool just like u in the comments saying the irony of a bald man talking about hair growth🤣
As I'm coming into being 30 years old I'm starting to to notice some thinner spots. I've been using rosemary essential oil with a combination of other rosemary products on my hair for one or two months now, and not that consistently, and I've noticed my hair becoming healthier, stronger, and way less prone to hair loss. But that's about it. I think the thin parts are slightly better, but not significantly. I hope it can reverse them. It's definitely a habit to hold onto.
@@kam2992 Well it's nothing fancy, really. I got this tea made of fresh rosemary, into which I add some drops of rosemary essential oil and put in a spray bottle in the fridge. I spray that onto the areas I want results in each night. The "potion" lasts for one or two months, I think. The other two products are some general store oils for hair like castor oil, rosemary oil etc which i use only once a week and rub well into my scalp and sit on it for 1 or two hours before shower. Then I shower with some very light shampoo that's mainly just some kind of general soap + rosemary oils again. And that's it, basically. The shampoo is really good, even tho it's so simple. My hair and scalp has never felt calmer, cleaner and so good in general. I've stopped it for a single month and gone back to my former shampoo, which wasn't bad to be honest, and now my scalp feels tired, dry and itchy. But that's just me. Best case scenario is to go to a trichologist and let him make a personalized plan for you, but that costs money. So far I don't have such money so I've been experimenting with these things, and they seem to kind of work. The only thing I don't like is that my hair hasn't become way thicker, but that's probably unrealistic. If it just stops the balding process that'd be tremendous.
If you are serious about stopping and even reversing it whilst you're early into the loss you need to look into finasteride and minoxidil. It 100% works but it can have some sides!
dermaroll too bro, apparently it multiplies the effects, im on my 3rd month in applying grinded coffee, almond oil, rosemary oil and peppermint oil. Starting to see new baby hair follicles growing
Apparently Peppermint oil provides good or normal blood flow or blood circulation therefore this would help with hair growth, you can combine peppermint oil and rosemary oil for a more effective formula for hair growth
If you want the best results in the long run, I use yellow from the egg, honey and castor oil, mix it all together and hold it on my head for an hour, whenever I go to my barber he is completely crazy about my hair and said he's never worked with such great quality hair, my hair started to became less dense and with this routine, I definitely slowed it down and my hair quality is impeccable.
As a cosmetologist obsessed with hair grow …I can still see the difference..you must look at the more defined shape of the outline… it’s more pronounced…you must stay with this…after a year you should see more definition and density…however please use all over to keep the stimulation going for the entire head…and remember massage is very important to helping with absorption and stimulation…4 UR 👀Only….40 Yrs experience…I know a lil something…lol
I saw your post pop up on Google news and thought I should comment. I am over 60 and the hair on top of my head has thinned. A friend gave me rosemary hair oil in a mixture. She said to comb it on to my scalp, let it sit for a while then wash it out. I did that and 30 percent of the hair on the top of my head came off.I have stopped using of course and continued experiencing more hair loss. One month later and I finally stopped significant shedding. Be careful with potency and go slow!!
I don't know if you ever consulted a professional but in my opinion you don't have any hairloss at all, many 16-year-olds would be jealous of your hairline :D For the rosemary: I have used Minoxidil, never liked it, scalp and hair felt terrible, had even some heart problems plus I never saw any changes. Now I use rosemary oil in my shampoo. I have relatively thin hair and since I use it, my hair feels and looks thicker, has more strength and volume. With the naked eye I don't see any new hair but I've only been doing it since December and since it almost cost nothing as has no sideffects whatsoever I will just continue using it. I use a ph neutral perfume free shampoo and add about 20 drops of oil. I wash my hair every day and let the shampoo sit for a few minutes. And: maybe it doesn't grow new hair but maybe it prevents future hair loss, that alone for that price (I paid $17 for a whole bottle of concentrated oil) and without sideeffects (AND it's no effort to apply), I will just use this forever as my shampoo
I saw a video by some 'hair expert drs' who mentioned Rosemary oil. They don't think it really does anything. They said the study comparing it to minoxidil isn't that great and that the likely benefits simply came because of mechanical stimulation of the scalp. One Dr said he'd bet money that he could get hair stimulation with just a tooth brush, massaging toothpaste into the scalp that would produce the same results as rosemary oil.
Rosemary oil (from personal and people I know) say it’s a person-to-person bases as well as age and genetics which play apart in its effectiveness. Minoxidil is naturally a better option but it can have its side effects. Rosemary oil + a derma-roller or derma-pen/stamp is a better option to start with. In my opinion
@@Poseidone101 Yeah I'd like to see a study where it's just mechanical action (e.g. derma roller) vs derma roller and Rosemary oil, because I suspect the results would be the same. The Dr's also mentioned a UK farmer who grew hair back on parts of his bald head where a calf had been licking him when he feeds it. The farmer thought there was something magical about cows saliva that might cause hair to grow...but in reality it turned out just to be the mechanical stimulation of the cow licking him which caused the hair follicles to wake up. I think a this is the case with rubbing a lot of these so called 'natural' oils into the scalp tbh.
Yea grab each hair strand individually, and massage for about 5 mins each, assuming you have about 50k hairs left , it'll only take 250k minutes of your day
Pigmie, do you do micro needling? You should combine this with micro needling as it helps open up the skin and triggers a healing effect that stimulates hair to grow
I think it’s inconclusive at this point. Hair grows back slowly, you probably need to give it a year to really make a determination. Finasteride for example takes 2 years to reach maximum effectiveness. You can also get a small dot tattoo to use as a reference and cut your hair to the same length before taking pictures.
I am 75 yrs as a kid my. Grandmother always use rosemary to rinse my hair it was thick and long I went back to using it on my hair that was thinning and yes it brought my hair back the tea is also very good to drink I am a believer 😊
As a male who has hypertrichiosis of the eyebrows, I've tried all this nonsense and the ONLY thing that has ever worked in beginning to restore my eyebrows is minoxidil applied twice a day to my eyebrows with a brush.
I'd say it's potentially thicker, at first I thought it might be worse, but it's probably because the hair around the 'dent' is thicker looking, making the dent more obvious. Very interesting video though, I like the long term experiments a lot!
Fyi, u should use Castor Oil as the Carrier, cuz Castor Oil has the ingredients in it thats used in the expensive Eye Lash Serum LATISSE. Its the top natural ingredient that makes eyelashes grow & now talk of gals using it for eyebrows to grow cuz for some reason now as were aging were having odd issue of our eyebrows not growing full like they use to cuz us gals pluck them. So now gals using Castor oil. So maybe ur Carrier has chemicals causing the Rosemary not to do its job u read about? Rosemary shampoo has been around over 30 years & coal tar shampoo, probably a couple hundred. Both stimulate hair follicles. I had always had ultra thin hair, until my momma heard about T-gel. Smells horrendous, but it only took once for everyone to start tell me that I’ve got enough hair for six people.
Could just be you had chronic inflammation due to whatever scalp condition you had and the coal tar just cleared it up? That seems more plausible then you reversing androgenetic alopecia with only coal tar which from what I know hasn’t happened to anyone else and isn’t really a thing
You take a perfect amount of showers. When I went to Nigeria, I saw people taking a shower 3 times each day. So don't let anyone drag you about being clean, it healthy.❤😅
Rosemary oil was ONLY effective of the crown of your head. I don't know the science behind it, but this was my takeaway from my reading of those studies. I think people are conflating the study on the success of this oil on some male patterned baldness, with all male patterned baldness. I've also seen some expand this to all hair regrowth too. This might be the case but again, not my interpretation of these big significant studies that have been making the rounds. Also the new growth from chemical or natural hair treatment should look like a batch of fresh hair sprouts. The application of the androgen blocker will syncronise a wave of inactive hair follicles which results in a fairly synchronous "sprouting" of previously dormant hair. It takes 6 months for an inactive follicle to pop through. Disclaimer: I am no expert! The above info is my VERY amateur interpretation and regurgitation of my shallow dive into natural hair growth treatments. Looks to me like it's working! Biotin and zinc will also help, taken internally. These nutrients are both DHT (dihydrotestosterone) blockers, and DHT is a factor in hair loss. Minoxidil is also a DHT blocker.
Minoxidil is not a DHT blocker. It’s believed to stimulate hair growth by increasing blood flow to the follicles. The actual mechanism isn’t quite known. But it does nothing for DHT. Finasteride is what blocks DHT.
Rosemary oil and minoxidil DO NOT BLOCK DHT, they increase the anagen phase of the hair follicle, they also increase bloodflow and are pottasium channel openers which might also help your hair grow. They work INDEPENDENTLY FROM DHT that's why they increase hair growth in places which aren't effected by DHT.
