      @@Pau1ll Cellular Function:
Water is essential for the proper functioning of cells, including skin cells. Cells require water to carry out metabolic processes, regulate temperature, and maintain structural integrity.
Skin cells, like all cells in the body, are primarily composed of water. Proper hydration ensures that these cells function optimally, contributing to healthy skin.
      Collagen Production:
Collagen is a protein that provides structural support to the skin. It helps maintain skin elasticity and firmness.
Dehydration can lead to a decrease in collagen production. This reduction in collagen can contribute to the development of fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging skin.
      Skin Barrier Function:
The outermost layer of the skin, the stratum corneum, acts as a barrier to prevent water loss and protect against environmental factors.
Adequate hydration helps maintain the integrity of the skin barrier. A compromised barrier can lead to dryness, redness, and an increased susceptibility to irritants and infections.
      Oil Production:
Dehydrated skin may trigger an overproduction of sebum (skin oil) as the skin tries to compensate for the lack of moisture.
This excess oil can contribute to acne and other skin issues. Proper hydration helps balance oil production and promotes a healthier complexion.
      Inflammation and Irritation:
Dehydrated skin is more prone to inflammation and irritation. It can exacerbate conditions such as eczema and psoriasis.
Water helps cool the body, reducing the risk of overheating and inflammation.
      Wound Healing:
Hydration plays a crucial role in the body's ability to repair and regenerate tissues, including the skin.
Well-hydrated skin is better equipped to heal from injuries, cuts, or abrasions.
      Toxin Elimination:
Water is vital for the elimination of toxins from the body through processes like sweating and urination.
When the body is properly hydrated, it can efficiently remove waste products, contributing to clearer and healthier skin.
      Blood Circulation:
Adequate hydration supports proper blood circulation. Good blood flow ensures that skin cells receive essential nutrients and oxygen.
Improved circulation can contribute to a more vibrant and even skin tone.

That's some serious dedication right there. I don't know how realistic it would be for someone to actually do all this every day long-term. But some results are visible, especially the eyebrows and the teeth. But the thing is, those are probably the easiest protocols that you did in this experiment. I'd be lying if I said i noticed a skin tone difference, but maybe in real life it's more noticeable.
As far as tanning goes, if you want a tan, what has worked for me is tanning quite heavily in the summer (or whenever you get a lot of sun in your area), and then, as the weather gets colder, still try and get some sun exposure to the skin when weather permits. It's almost December now and I still have a tan on my skin, despite only exposing my skin to the sun once every couple of weeks since September. So that might be something to apply, but obviously not for people in really cold climates.

"I live in the American Gardens building on West 81st street. My name is Patrick Bateman. I'm 27 years old. I believe in taking care of myself, and a balanced diet and a rigorous exercise routine. In the morning, if my face is a little puffy, I'll put on an ice pack while doing my stomach crunches. I can do a thousand now. After I remove the ice pack, I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower, I use a water activated gel cleanser. Then a honey almond body scrub. And on the face, an exfoliating gel scrub. Then apply an herb mint facial mask, which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an aftershave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion. There is an idea of a Patrick Bateman, some kind of abstraction, but there is no real me. Only an entity, something illusory. And though I can hide my cold gaze, and you can shake my hand and feel flesh gripping yours and maybe you can even sense our life styles are probably comparable, I simply am not there."

Carotenoids do not get into your skin cells that fast. First you must increase serum levels and then new skin cells formed at higher carotenoid concentration take 4 to 6 weeks to migrate out to the surface as they turn over. Any short term coloration you notice is more likely to be attributed to a flush or heightened blood flow.

Also about tanning I struggle with it since I only have the summer to tan since I live in a very cold state which usually stays colder a bit longer. Add more carrots. Just make it a habit to put in some baby carrots throughout the day. I've noticed my skin complexion has changed because of it, I prefer fresh carrots over canned, I'm not sure if it makes much of a difference but I have a feeling it does. For hair you can derma roll, and derma press, be sure to clean these with alcohol before using them. This helps both the collagen in the face, and the proper bloodflow for hair growth. Derma rolling, and rosemary/mint oil will be helpful for sure. Also be sure to get the proper vitamins and nutrients that you need, plus vitamins like biotin which are important for hair growth. On top of this consider red light which helps hair growth. Massaging your scalp with a silicon brush to get blood flow helps as well.
If you did all of this I'm sure you would see the benefits, How much or how little may be up to genetics but these are some simple things you can add to your routine.

See a dermatologist and ask about finasteride. Rosemary oil just helps increase hair density but won’t magically cause new hairs to sprout, it just encourages the existing ones to sprout and stuff. Finasteride actively fights against one of the common causes of balding. Even if you used minoxidil (way better than rosemary oil) you’d only have the results for a few more years as your hairline gradually got pushed back. You need to address the cause of your receding hairline, not cover it up.
As for the tanning thing, don’t. This again is short-term and will significantly age your skin. Genuinely the biggest cause of visible skin aging is uv rays and tanning is due to uv damage. All tanning is bad. If you want to look good when you are 40 or older use sunscreen daily and reapply every 2 hours. I swear being pale isn’t bad.
Lastly, skin care is massive. Definitely take that up. If you have acne I can give you a routine that’d help clear it up, otherwise make sure you use a cleanser, don’t over exfoliate, avoid harsh products/ingredients, use a moisturizer, etc.

The best thing anyone can do to maximize their looks over the long term is to STAY OUT OF THE SUN. Try to avoid the sun entirely between 10 AM and 2 PM (11 and 3 during daylight savings), and wear sunblock whenever and wherever the sun touches your skin.
I did everything else wrong. I smoked for 35 years, drank, did all kinds of drugs, didn't start moisturizing until my mid-30's, and I still look a good ten years younger (or more) than I actually am (mid-50's), thanks to consistently avoiding UV.

@@BarriosGroupie There is absolutely nothing wrong with avoiding the sun entirely if you supplement with vitamin D. You should be supplementing it anyway. So many people are short on vitamin D that it's the only supplement broadly recommended by the medical industry.
In fact, there are people who have a genetic defect that keeps their body from being able to detect and fight cancer cells, who literally have to live like vampires. They even have to be careful about artificial light because some of them put out a small amount of UV.
But the fact of the matter is, unless you're one of those vampire-people, you're going to get SOME incidental sun, no matter how hard you try to avoid it.

The carnivore diet definitely changed the way I look. I’m leaner and stronger and much healthier. Carnivore eliminates inflammation which cases many diseases and unhealthy conditions including heart attack, stroke, arthritis flare ups, irritable bowl, gout, poor circulation and more.
Staying hydrated, getting proper rest and resistance training with a very active lifestyle are also essential.
Also supplement with creatine and taurine which are anti aging compounds.

while mewing you need to create a vaccum in your mouth so that the middle portion of tongue touches the roof of mouth, this is more accurate and trust me guys it works, I have been doing it since the last 3 months.

In university 20 years ago, carrots happened to be really cheap. I lived on exclusively carrots for an entire semester. The look was NOT attractive. Literally like arnold in that episode of the magic school bus.
Interesting side effect: To this day I can't properly digest raw carrots anymore. My body hard rejects them if I eat more than a small amount.

That may be a weird flex or something, but when it comes to carotenoid skin color vs melanin, when I was like 4-9 years old, I had a weird diet which included on average 2 liters of carrot-based juice / drinks a day. This made my skin very tan all year round (in the summer it was even more tan due to the sun) - all the girls in the primary / elementary school REAAALLY liked me, even though I was very introverted, not very charismatic and didn't talk much - I was smart though. Most of the free time we had in school they came to me, tried to play with me or something, but I didn't really know how to interact with them and so we just kinda vibed.

Biggest thing I learned. You have a very tolerant wife. She was even seen in public while you were meweling etc. Course she may just be piling up evidence for the divorce.

    • @FringeWizard2
      @FringeWizard2 10 місяців тому

Dude, "mewing" is just where the tongue naturally sits in any person who hasn't been ruined by modernity bringing on bad breathing practices. Like everyone who is healthy naturally has their tongue sit there, I'm "mewing" right now. Like a decade ago someone taught me about mouthbreathing wrong and it was a struggle for years for me to correct it but now my tongue just rests in its proper place with no effort. Your talk about divorce is depressing and also saying that she is "very tolerant" for putting up with someone trying to self-improve... is ridiculous. She is lucky to have a husband that is pursuing good and positive things. Meanwhile there's people like you here encouraging the end of healthy long-term relationships for no good reason. People shouldn't even divorce over very serious issues; and they sure shouldn't be divorcing because "my husband tries to be healthier". You may as well be the devil talking like that putting that kind of thoughts into people's minds.
