What I would give! She is an absolutely fantastic actress. Very well classical trained especially for drama. I saw in her Closer and a few other films. She has great range.

I played the lake in this. It was an incredible experience. The actors did complain several times (Natalie got parasites and sepsis) but it's not my fault people pollute me.

I live in Baltimore and my neighbor and I watched the crew film from Lafayette Park a block from where we live. We watched until 3am. It was an amazing experience. I read the book about a week later. This week I streamed episodes 1-5 and the biggest difference between the series and the book is Cleo's character is more prominent and names are changed as well. I'm very satisfied with the changes and have enjoyed the series. Moses Ingram is star.

I'm a hometown Baltimore gal and several times during filming here I saw the Christmas decorations on the buildings set on a city side street and the Parade set on the same street some weeks later (very proud of and happy that Oscar winner and very talented Natalie Portman and the filmmakers chose to use our Charm City for the locations along with many other Baltimore County and City locales. I adore both her and Moses Ingram a Baltimore gal as well who graduated from the Baltimore School for the Arts (who was wonderful in the Disney plus Obi Wan Kenobi series) and I am very much looking forward to seeing this series!
Acting of Natalie is phenomenal… I imagine she is trying to impose herself and prevail within a family, but at the same time she was looking for her freedom.

They didn't share scenes but they both rocked that film like there's no tomorrow. RIP Ted Demme Can't wait for this one to drop.
Listened to the audiobook this year and it was really good…the narrator does an amazing job narrating different point of view characters. This trailer is intense! ETA: I keep coming back to the trailer. I love it.
This series is everything a film should be. Absolutely blowing my mind how brilliant, the acting, the filming, the musical score. Excellent. The scene where Cleo comes home after see line a loses it, is such a punch to core. Also I’m going to rob that blue coat from the costume department. I could go on… and on..Students will definitely be discussing this one in film studies.
I played the vacuum cleaner. Natalie handled me with such care. The way she pushed me back and forth. I wished I had more scene's with her. She was so gentle.

I just finished the seven episodes and this is a fantastic, adult mystery thriller. Starting with the impeccable acting of Natalie Portman and Moses Ingram, this is a first-class production all the way. Another great Apple TV+ series that I recommend unreservedly. Kudos!

Was hesitant to watch, but ultimately Portman was the selling point. A unique, mysterious, and sophisticated style with thoughtful dialog is why Alma Har'el shines as a showrunner. Very interested in a potential next project (with 🍎📺 or elsewhere). Natalie Portman is definitely at her best in this carefully crafted mini series. The unfortunate realization that Santa is not real has us aching, but all in all, quality over quantity best describes this Apple TV original. ❤

Waited to long for this to be released. Remember when they were filming it during a summer in Baltimore during Covid.
