nice video, if i'm a bit picky the lower the tone the higher up the neck the play. I get the open E issue but woulda been nice to hear the lower tones played low after all thats what the pedal does
If anyone is wondering why the dude played the open E very sparingly it's because the E sounds quite bad when dropped to B and lower. I tried this pedal on a Carvin PB5 & a 5-string Warwick Pro Series Corvette Standard. The E sounded very bad with strange overtones. Oh well :(
Is it just me or does the open E sound out of tune? It would be cool to see a video using this pedal into a tuner Sony can see how accurate it is. I just got a new corvette 6 string that I love and want to keep in standard. my band plays in multiple tunings so I have to use multiple basses this would be ideal because I want to play that Warwick in everything!
@@TheFaust18 Sadly just 34'... I got the six string because it was a used deal I couldn't pass up. I didn't use the high C string so I just strung it like a 5 string with the addition of the floppy F#. It wasn't very usable, so I ended up buy a new nut and putting it back into standard tuning.
Just ordered one myself on the recommendation of a local muso. As a snowflake I refuse to retune for ONE song, and I really HATE 5 strings. I won't ever need to drop more than a whole tone, so the artifact problem that seems to start at a fifth below won't bother me.
I've tried both. This one sounds more realistic and has smoother more accurate tracking. The pitch box can do some awesome glichty stuff, though. Probably not intentional on Mooer's part, but I think it sounds rad. Especially with Fuzz or OD in front of the PB it can get really crazy sounding.
Hello ! I'm from Brazil and I have a question. My pedal after a year began to roll over when it was depressed, missing the clear notes on the bass. Do you know if it has any kind of calibration that can be done or any solution to my problem?
You can with the pedal. Your scale length will determine whether your bass can tune that low. Honestly, I'd recommend tuning in unison with the guitars. Drop E for a bass is a little much.
You didnt show what letter you were in Starting with the tuning your in> Hopefully standard E and work your way down like in the better explained videos.
On my bass (German Warwick Streamer) sounds awful.. it looks like i was using a little chorus, it loss gain, brightness and sustain too. But The worse part is that the pedal sounds like it's "seraching" the note, especially on E, or if i hit the string too hard. I had to put my Boss Limiter before the Drop in the chain to kind of fix this, and after i put a completely different setting in a preset o my Sansamp bass driver programmable to close the sound that i have on standard tunning. Otherwise, this pedal is uselles and you should not buy. Unless you have the tools like me to escape a little bit from the awful sound.
that chair looks really comfy
You don't even have to worry about floppy strings!
Finally! :D
Thank you for the video, it answered precisely to my questions about this pedal
Would be very interesting to try this pedal with a piccolo bass! Especially with some fuzz....

Excactly!
Thanks for the demo! Just ordered one.
Thanks! I m playing with 2 bands using 2 different tunning. Gonna buy one of these so I don't have too change my string gauges
Excellent sound
shut up and take my money.

Herreken that's why you buy thicker strings or a bass with more strings for the longer scale Length.
I did notice the lower he dialed it, the less played the open E string.

On bass, this pedal tracks well until you get to two steps down. Then that first string sounds like a bunch of brown notes
I want to try this with my 6 string bass tuned to low F#.
Which scale you have?

And end up having zero sounds on half of notes since cabinets have lower frequency limit

Thanks a bunch!
Sounds pretty decent.
I want one!
I’m using a Morpheus drop tune pedal on bass and it sounds like crap and doesn’t work properly... Is the Digitech made for the bass too?
hi, how is this effect pedal perform compared with a mooer pitchbox? esp. on a bass guitar?
I've tried both. This one sounds more realistic and has smoother more accurate tracking. The pitch box can do some awesome glichty stuff, though. Probably not intentional on Mooer's part, but I think it sounds rad. Especially with Fuzz or OD in front of the PB it can get really crazy sounding.
Digitech Drop is better than Mooer Pichbox very much.

Fala, irmão! Pode me explicar o que rolou? Peguei um desses recentemente.
@@stanleyserravalleesse pedal depois de um tempo perde o som tipo fica grave e abafado

what about 5 string
David Kimball WAAAAAAAAMP
Could it go to low F?
The guitar player is using an 8 string tuned half a step 🙄
I don't think I could handle using a drop pedal on an acoustic or semihollow body. Maybe if I were monitoring ridiculously loud

What about latency?
i’ve been using this pedal for a while, i haven’t noticed any latency issues ever
Would be nice if you showed what tunings it dropped to
Each dot is a half step down.
Wish you would play faster so see how the tracking is every know the kid that likes black dahlia murder wants this pedal
