Damn, i might be a super nerd considering i knew a lot of this already to some degree lmao. Having it broken down in further detail is cool though, probably gonna show it to my cousins who are starting to get into the series to make them like math a little more
7:39 Table from Bulbapedia would mean that, for female nominal ratio, if the 8 bit value is stricly lower than 254, the Pokémon will be female. But since the 8 bit value maximum value is 255, that means 254 and 255 values would give male gender. So there is 2 / 256 = 0.78125% chance of a Pokémon being male, despite being labelled as 100% female. There is something wrong.
Also this is the best explanation of binary I’ve ever heard???
Thanks! It took me a very long time to actually understand it myself until it sort of clicked and I realized it’s not that bad
15:52 I think adef took the bullet for you
No mention of how the personality value impacts the evolution of wurmple?
I don’t really understand what you just said but I completely agree.

Hope everyone has a good Christmas (or other applicable holiday/time off)
You definitely should calculate all the spinda patterns 😛

Maybe it does something similar to the genderless value, of it detects the threshold is 254 then it is always female
