It's crazy to think that the guitarist and drummer on this album (Paul Masvidal and Sean Reinert) were only 20 and 19 years old, unfortunately Sean (the youngest) is no longer with us
@@Goose21 He had 7 days to record the drums, he finished the recordings in 2 days, in that free time they recorded the cover of God of Thunder by Kiss, simply incredible
I was 16 when this album hit the shelves. Game changer. So damn good. Unparalleled musicianship & drummer Sean Reinert RIP was like 21 when recording this.
Together As One is so amazing. Most death metal bands, if writing a song about conjoined twins, would write pretty tasteless body horror lyrics, but Chuck wrote with empathy and love.
Some people in the chat were complaining about Chuck's vocals but they've always been one of the biggest appeals of Death to me, so unique and you can hear them evolving with each album, getting sharper and departing from the original growling of Scream Bloody Gore. It's heavy enough to fit the mood and undeniably death metal but each word is actually enunciated unlike a lot of other DM/BM bands where the lyrics are almost irrelevant because it all just blurs into one noise. So many Death lyrics are so poetic it would be a damn shame to hide them behind the usual milk-toast growls and screams.
Bass player : Steve DiGorgio CANNOT be overlooked ... Possibly the MOST intelligent Bass player to walk the planet ... fretless Bass gets that warping sound.
For this particular album, Chuck Schuldiner hired Paul Masvidal and Sean Reinert from Cynic to record it, absolutely bonkers musicians. If you have'nt listened to Cynic yet it is definitely worthwhile to check out
It's my least favorite of their later, more progressive and technical period but it's still great of course. My personal favorite would have to be Symbolic but almost every Death album is great
This album is still top tier, genre defining, and one of my favorites, but it could've been even better if Steve DiGiorgio's bass wasn't burried in the mix. This album had such a fucking amazing line up.
finally reacting to good music thank god

This was basically an early Cynic album featuring Chuck.
Rest in Peace Sean Reinert
Rest in Peace Sean Malone
I’ve also heard reinert would routinely crank this stuff out in one take. Absolute machine
@@Goose21 He had 7 days to record the drums, he finished the recordings in 2 days, in that free time they recorded the cover of God of Thunder by Kiss, simply incredible
Finally! I really hope you'll find Symbolic next, I've been looking for that one for over a year now
Apparently he has heard it
@@jacobwaltersi watched him listen to it and Sound of Perseverance, he only posted the latter
Yeah he's done Symbolic but for some reason he never posted the video for it. He gave Symbolic a 98/100 though so loved it

HOLY SHIT I WAS HOPING FOR THIS ONE SO BAD
What are the odds lol
Flattening of Emotions is definitely a 10/10, other than that you nailed it!
Incredible! Now the only things i need for happiness are symbolic and jane doe reactions
Literally subscribed yesterday for metal reactions and this banger comes up, it’s gonna be a good day
Metal brad is back
You talked & missed both times the funky bass fill came in on SewerSlide Machine lol.
Steve DiGiorgio is a legend in my household

Thank you Bro ✨️🙏✨️🤍✨️🙏✨️😬👍🏻✨️
Human and Individual Thought Patterns are in my opinion the best death albums. RIP Chuck
I love you for this, please post alll of the death reactions
Someone give Blackwater Park to this guy
Facts
Damn right. Imo Death and Opeth are the two greatest metal bands of all time
Or from mars to sirius
To me this Death album is the bridge bw what came before and after this album. Really is the one that elevated their sound imo
The " Specifics " of one's soul.
Wild to see an Empyrean wearing reviewer. You must get the angled alcantara pads. Makes these so much better.
YO i would love to see brad react to necrophagist, best tech death band ever imo
Stab woooooooouuuuuuuuund

This is my favorite Death album and one of my favorite albums of all time
SEAN REINERT RIP 🕯
Rest In Peace, Master Sean 🙏
Imagine if he goes Scream Bloody Gore or Leprosy next
Ohhhhyeaabaybee
The best Death album with their best drummer.
I have no idea why whoever gave the donation for the album didn't send in the 2011 mix
Bass player : Steve DiGorgio CANNOT be overlooked ...
Possibly the MOST intelligent Bass player to walk the planet ... fretless Bass gets that warping sound.
FUCK YEAH Finally

bro what is Paruko yapping about
also Leprosy is an absolute must
Gotta do either Dissection - Storm of the Light’s Bane or The Chasm - Deathcult for Eternity: The Triumph. Both easy innovative 11/10s front to back
Listen to Scream Bloody Gore!
brad should react to heartwork
The only thing that could’ve made Death better would’ve been some blast beats here and there
A 9 YESSSSS🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯💯💯💯💪💪💪💪💪🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🗣🗣🗣🗣
Secretface got the best lyrics. Talking about fake mofos.
Good album, but it's not Leprosy or Scream Bloody Gore.
Chuck was the man.
Watching the live chat is so cringe inducing lmao
Please post your reaction to Symbolic!
Will never forgive you for throwing Ethan under the bus. But at least you are checking out my favourite metal band. This and Symbolic are mint.
Didnt know secret face was lowest rated song, my favourite btw
big headphone ahh
you should react to heartwork by carcass!!!!
Chaosphere and now Human. What a chad, Brad. What other good metal albums has he reacted to?
It's my least favorite of their later, more progressive and technical period but it's still great of course. My personal favorite would have to be Symbolic but almost every Death album is great
hey weren't you cancelled?
Can you react to some Cannibal Corpse
I don’t think UA-cam would like him reacting to their tomb of the mutilated album, plus Chris Barns kind of sucks as a vocalist
@@Milo-it1tfthere is outside work besides chris barns and he has reviewed some bad ppl anyways
@7.65x21mm fair enough, just saying that he might prefer corpsegrinder over Chris Barns
