I always found it kind of funny how the inquisitors were never much of a threat in the end, order 66 poured the barrel of force users out, leaving the empire having to scrape the bottom of the barrel to fill the inquisitor ranks..
Well you got vader to mop up any actual threat, and then just use the scraps to take care of the scraps.

You see Palpatine went about this all wrong. I would have done something similar to Valkorion creating an army of Knights. Trained to only see to serve the Empire's justice. Use the lesser Force users as Special Forces and specialized combatants. Keep them so occupied and busy that there's no time for Vader or anyone else to try to make them an apprentice.
They're like the hall monitor kids who took that shit way too seriously
I personally think its hilarious that Reva survived Order 66 and being impaled by Vader. Then to be impaled again 20 years later by the same dude in the same way in the same spot😂
SW, actually hasnt done all his homework. The 2 inquisitors who fell in love and were killed by Vader did not try to leave, mess up, or think they could kill vader. Vader doesnt need much reason to kill and him sensing their feeling was enough. Their attempt on his life was just a way of going down swinging. Also, the girl was named Ethkat Akariss (13 th sister) and she was extremely powerful. Especially in combat. She actually sort of bested Vader once in a dangerous sparing session. Come on SW, do your research. Book is called Rise of Red Blade.
I don't really think the sixth brother should be as low as he is. The fight with Asoka was kinda unfair for him. Not only were his crystals fighting him and calling to her, but she was also trained by a close-to-peak Anakin Skywalker. She survived Order 66 because of his training, and she was still able to survive fighting Vader all the years later. An inquisitor is basically nothing compared to her.

They did kill a handful in the novel Inquisitor Rise of the Red Blade. They also got that one in the first couple of episodes of the Kenobi series. In the Darth Vader comics, we don't see any of the inquisitors directly Kill a Jedi as far as I'm aware, but they do assist Darth Vader on a couple of missions, and The Inquisitor with red skin, named Iskat, makes mention that is tradition for her and her Twi'ilek boyfriend to share a drink after slaying a Jedi.
The inquisitors are just a fear tactic and are all showboats
4th Sister is also that Inquisitor in the background of Obi-Wan Kenobi. She doesn't have her Lightsaber Pike though. Supposed to be the same Inquisitor.
I think an interesting thing to note about the general power level of the Inquisitors is their targets. They are tasked with hunting SURVIVORS of order 66. In order to have survived 66, you either had to be EXTREMELY lucky, or build EXTRA different. So the baseline for an Inquisitor would have to be better than the vast majority of the order

What about Iskat Akariss (13th sister), she was most powerful in my opinion. and her boyfriend Tualon who was also a padawan turned inquisitor. Both were killed by vader and helped with Eth koth. These characters got story told in Rise of the Red Blade, which was a fairly fun book.

Yeah and the fourth sister was actually in Kenobi as well just seems like he was lazy and didn’t update the inquisitor video sadly and it seems like he didn’t read the Jedi survivor tie in book that explained a little bit more of the fifth brother that he almost turned back but something happened and then he cut off greezes arm and didn’t just add the ninth sisters death in Jedi survivor sadly his video is outdated and I don’t know what made him think it would be ok to reupload this

The 6th Brother we still don't know if he is the same Inquisitor in Tales of The Jedi.
So, now we have a question of skill and power levels. The Inquisitors suck, and usually a lot of them have to fight in teams. Fifth Brother and Seventh Sister couldn't take Kanan and Ezra, but Fifth Brother solo'd Cal, even if he didn't kill him. Prior to this, Cal defeated the Second and Ninth Sisters, and Trilla at least is more skilled than Fifth Brother, and Ninth Siter is stronger than him. Cal later would kill Ninth Sister, as well as Dagan and Bode. Fifth Brother is stronger in the Force than Reva. Ahsoka can solo Seventh Sister and Bird-Mask completely unarmed.
I get that the winner is whoever the writer decides, but what is the scale here?

What I don’t like about the canon Inquisitors, is that Vader wanted allies to help him usurp Palpatine. And not only were these Inquisitors directly under Vader’s command or that many of them were formerly trained Jedi, that is in addition to often working together as a team.
And one of the reasons why Lucas had them develop the Rule of Two was that evil would alway ultimately work against each other, that if there was more than two, that they would team up to over through their master, and likely accomplish that even if they were weaker or less capable or not. The Rule of Two was a safe guard against that. In order to ensure that only the most gifted, stronger and more crafty Sith would carry on past their master. That the only Force users under them outside of the Master and Apprentice dynamic, should be no more than far weaker and half trained individuals that would operate independently of and/or unknown by others, either as, guards, spies or assassins and otherwise disposable.
So it doesn’t make sense to me that while Anakin/Vader’s secret goal was to overthrow the Emperor so that he could rule the Galaxy as he believed that to be his destiny, from Revenge of the Sith to the Emperor Strikes Back, but he just needed a Force using ally willing to serve him to accomplish that goal, that for what for ever reason in canon he has a dozen trained Force users under his command and yet doesn’t make use of them towards that end?

Vader didn't really see overthrowing Palpatine as a goal till he found out that Palps had lied about Padme and about his kids, and by that time, the majority of the inquisitors had already died. Another thing is, he completely despises the inquisitors, he has always seen them as a waste of resources and disrespectful as himself. As in his initial encounter with the grand inquisitor, palpatine made it clear that Vader could be replaced. Also, he sees the other inquisitors as disgraces to the dark side and the sith.

While on Mustarfar during Revenge of the Sith, Anakin says that he will overthrow Palpatine so that he can rule the Galaxy, as he believes it to be his destiny. He turns on Padme, choking her to unconsciousness, since she stood in opposition to what Anakin had become and what he had done,.. she dies not long after. The Emperor merely informed him, maybe stretched the truth a bit, that he (Anakin/Vader) had killed her in a fit of rage. In the Emperor Strikes Back the Emperor informs Vader and his son as if it’s the first time he’s heard of the boys existence. (The EMPIRE Strikes Back, the Emperor informs Vader ABOUT his son) Vader sets himself to capture and turn Luke to the Darkside as the Emperor commanded, but secretly to help him overthrow the Emperor so that he could rule the Galaxy. Anakin’s (as Vader) secret goal to usurp the Emperor is reoccurring goal of his in the continuity from the time he turned to the Darkside, both in Canon and Legends, Lucas even brought it up during the development of the Force Unleashed with Starkiller.
Lucas’ Fallen Angel, Anakin/Vader, (being based on Lucifer/Satan’s fall from grace) twisted himself into believing that might means right, that his potential strength in Force meant that he should and will rule over everything, and lusted for power. We first catch a glimpse of this desire in Attack of the Clones, and he was like that until his dying day.
The Rule of Two is meant to guarantee that only the strongest and most cunning would replace the Master, and only once they were ready. Anakin/Vader was not that guy after Mustafar. So Vader needed help with his goal, and the Emperor needed to insurance against that and someone powerful enough to not just replace Vader, but eventually himself. Hence the reason why the Emperor would’ve never have given Vader a squad of well trained Force users. The new canon’s Inquisitors make less sense for this reason than the Inquisitors and the Emperor’s Hands of the Legends stories who either didn’t know about each other or were weak DAs or were barely half trained or had their jobs and loyalties which separated them and/or divided them against other, and none were under Vader’s command. And Vader himself was only able to keep one or two apprentices for a short while at a time either in secret or at the Emperor’s command rather than fully under Vader’s command.
@@eds1942 Have you read the comics? Boba Fett is the one who originally informed vader of luke after boba had found out the name of the pilot who destroyed the first death star. Vader has a fit of rage, cracking the window in the room he was in after realizing palpatine lied about Padme and his children.

Also the reason the inquisitors were given to Vader was to help with the hunting of jedi and they also made acquiring things like sith artifacts or wiping out insurgents easier for vader/palps, another thing is that Palp's knew he could never be bested by them. The majority of inquisitors were younglings/padawans before order 66, none of them besides Trilla and The Grand were very skilled or powerful. (Nearly every single inquisitor died to someone with a padawan/knight skill level, some even died to clones who had been mind tricked by a rogue jedi)
@@dudewithbones5012 You didn’t need to look at a comic book to realize that Vader would’ve found out about Luke earilier. I mean, it says that he (Vader) had, since 1 aby, been after a guy named Skywalker right in the opening crawler… it’s just that in ESB, the Emperor tells Vader about him in away as if he (Palpatine) had just recently learned of his identity. Also, he didn’t need another reason to want usurp Palpatine. Lucas had explained this. It’s the part about the Rule of Two that most people cite. “The Master (Palpatine) wields the power. While the Apprentice (Vader) covets their power.” Mainly I think that he came up with that for the continuity of the trilogies, as well as for his fallen angel / Chosen One narrative.
I brought up Legends as a point of comparison and contrast with the inquisitors. (It fits here)
As for Lucifer? Lucas specifically based Anakin’s story arc in the Prequels on that Fallen Angel. There’s plenty of videos of interviews with him and I remember watching an hour long documentary on it maybe 15 years back. That scene on Mustafar (Hell) where Anakin is looking out, face partially shrouded, with tears in his eyes was inspired by Alexandre Cabanel’s painting “the Fallen Angel”. He also mentioned something about Dontes Inferno. Michael the Arch-Angel, that cast him down from heaven, was Obi-Wan.
To really get into the mythology, I would pin Palpatine as Satan (even though Anakin is a better fit power-wise) and Anakin / Vader as one of the second group of Fallen Angels (the Grigori) either Samyaza (Infamous Rebel) or Azazel (the Devil), since they are lesser and were specifically tasked with watching over the human race, where as Lucifer came to want to rule the people of the world to worship him as a god . And Anakin/Vader wanted to rule the Galaxy as he believed that he could fix all its problems).

JRR Tolkien’s Middle-Earth mythos flollows that model too. Morgoth wanted to rule the world and be worshipped by everyone as a god. Sauron wanted to rule the world to fix all of its problems as he saw them.

My point is that too many people (and UA-camrs) don’t seem to get that, and instead put Anakin on a pedestal. Which is not what Lucas intended. Luke and the Jedi before the prequels are meant to be the ones on that pedestal. I get that he brought Balance to the Force, and that he found inner peace at the end. (Which I feel was one of the best scenes in scifi cinema). But if the guy was real, only the psychos would worship him.
(It’s just been getting on my nerves for the past few months. Even YT’s that seem to get both the mythology and philosophy of Lucas’ Star Wars mythos seem to be on his band wagon lately. He is not a freaking all powerful Force demigod master of the light and dark now. He’s soul was merely redeemed and at peace)

Sidious has Vader train Jedi survivors of order 66 to hunt Jedi after being tortured and turned to the dark side. Also the grand inquisitor was a disillusioned Jedi temple guard that turned even before order 66

This might he a hot take cause I don’t keep up with the fanbase these days, but the inquisitors might be my least favorite thing introduced in the Disney era of Star Wars.
It’s like they went for an idea that actually seems pretty cool, then just fell flat imo. I also like to say from the bottom of my heart, I truly despise their stupid helicopter lightsabers. They just look so bad and make no sense, like why would spinning a weightless beam of light literally allow you to fly.

Riddle me this…You say Reva is generously ranked but classify Trilla as second to the Grand Inquisitor. Trilla had issues defeating Cal who at that time had less training than Luke🤫 So either Trilla is in the same category as Reva or Cal is the male version of Rey. You guys have to stop the BS. Shyts getting obvious and old af. But it is SW content so I’m here for it.
It's not really BS, one is written well, the other has inconsistent backstory... That's like demanding we say Rey is more powerful than Luke and Anakin just because the movies want her to be that yet never earn it.

There were no inquisitors in Star Wars. There was Starkiller, or better known as Galen Marek. He had more power than all the crapquisitors combined and managed to beat both Vader and Palps.
