This exhaust setup sounds way better than straight pipes on the mustang V8 because most of the mustang's that has straight pipes on it are so raspy all the time, but this exhaust setup had a bit of rasp but mostly sounded amazing to be honest
This is a muffler and resonator delete system. The only thing it has is an x-pipe and j-pipes to reduce the rasp but keep the volume.
If they added a bullet muffler on each side to this setup do you think it would sound any better?
@@Dnasty1 This is a loud exhaust setup. It is designed to be as loud as possible with minimal drone. Adding a muffler or resonator would ruin the sound.
most of that is because most mustang owners do x pypes instead of h pypes

I have the same set up on my 2019 mustang gt. Adds some significant power too! I’d say around 10-15hp. Im beating other cars that I used to be neck and neck with, by about 2 car lengths now.

@@carguy... well it did bud. from stock to catback added 2 car lengths i raced my friend many times with stock exhaust and then with the catback and we went from neck and neck to me being 2 car lengths ahead every run.

This is basically a resonator and muffler delete with j-pipes to eliminate drone just like the Magnaflow xMod catback that was on the Challenger a few videos back but with aluminized piping instead of stainless steel. Hope this guy don't screw up like the Challenger guy and cut it off for a 2 5 inch crap catback.
I agree I'm not a big fan on the way the Coyote motor sounds but this sounds really damn good. The combination of the H pipe and that J pipe setup really does well for this motor. I'm so used to hearing people put crappy straight pipes on these engines I didn't realize that there were enough systems out there to make this engine actually sound good.
The Magnaflow mufflers and set ups are always so quiet and make the car sound stock.
@@castletrash7770 Magnaflow systems come from mild to loud. If you want loud you buy their Magnapack mufflers. If you want a loud catback then you get the Competition Series or the xMod. The xMod on the Challenger was far from stock. It was 122 decibels with no drone and a lifetime warranty. The hack job that replaced it is only 2 decibels louder, drones, and will rust out in no time.
@@kskip4242 There was a bunch of people here who got pissed off at me everytime I bring up a designed catbacks for the coyote that sounds better than the hack jobs done here. They don't get it until they actually see one with the systems installed. Case in point this system here. The coyote are normally raspy but this system makes it sound good.
They never learn until they see or hear it for themselves.

I miss the sound of the old pushrod 5.0s from the 90's. The Coyote is definitely the better engine, but you can't beat that old school sound

Perhaps you can't say MBRP because it's in Canadian... hahahahah. Love your content! I have an MBRP system on my 2021 F150 3.5 Ecoboost, my buddy just put one on his 2015 Ram 1500, and I have a system coming for my father's Ranger. The one thing Canada can actually contribute to the automotive market is MBRP!! Great products for sure.
It's not the same on v6 cars. And it won't wake it up as much as a v8. I'm saying this because I had a v6 from before and now I have a v8 dodge and both aftermarket exhaust done but the v8 turned into a monster. The v6 was just loud in the cabin nothing else! No power gain
@@alwaysdriven probably not a big difference on a V6 naturally aspirated, but on a turbo engine the upgrade from stock 2.5" to 3" pipe and free flowing muffler makes a big difference.

@@kevinhiltz9626 for a Lil bit before the computer figures out what's going on and adjust timing then the grunt will disappear. You will have to do more than just exhaust to a v6 . you have to give it a good tune along with that. Unless the engine was already high performance
@@alwaysdriven I have the 3" exhaust and CAI, woke the V6 up alot. I have 12K on it now and the grunt is still there! Let a turbo engine breath a little and that's all it takes for some decent power. I hate to admit my V6 out hauls my 2018 5.0 F150 I had, but the V6 hauls my 4000+ pound trailer better than my 5.0L hauled my 3000 pound trailer

I can’t decide between The race or sports. I daily mine for work from 6am-4pm. And I always drive on the highway. How’s the drone ? Is it good for cruising? I want loud aggression, but I don’t to catch attention from cops either but I also want to stand out ?

Question is: how is the drone. These sound super good and are worth the money, but I’d rather spend a little more on a set that doesn’t drone at all.
MBRPs don't drone. That's what the J-pipes are for.

Factory Sounds Just Fine. My 2019 sounds Great. The Problem with now is the majority of Mustang Owners touch the Pipes. They forget what a Mustang really sounds like. Same is for the Stupid Tints,Stickers,Scratch marks on the hood which looks childish, Stupid Race Rims,Lowered,Over sized Tires, Just Drive it how is no need to make it ugly keep it Classic.
Why would you want a Car that looks and sounds like everyone else’s

I'm running MBRP t304 race with stainless works headers on mine definitely sounds good but the headers were a ( FUN ) install also cut that drop in pipe size out where the resonator was. But great job on this car for sure
How does it sound I’ve got a 2023 GT with the mbrp race. I’m just wondering do long tubes make a noticeable sound difference for the race system?
@sethc5924 my son is running MBRP race as well but cat back only so we have been able to hear them back to back and with the headers you can definitely hear a crisper deeper tone on the revs and a deeper idle note as well
@@culbycars thanks. I’ve been looking at catted long tubes. I’m just worried about voiding the power train warranty messing with cats. Where I live we have no emissions testing and no inspections.
@sethc5924 gotcha I understand for sure! We do have them here in Central Texas well till 2025 anyway lol but mine passes with flying colors. But definitely hang on to that warranty as long as possible for sure. I was dumb and bought the extended warranty but then gave in to my wants and got the headers luckily this mustang has performed flawless uses no oil between changes just a great little car
