JBuds more like JAcquaintances. I think these are intended for people with the opposite of hard of hearing. Like bats or rabbits. Or maybe its intended to be full speakers that burst your eardrums have you thought of that. But whats next, speaker earrings? Maybe speaker hair clips. Ivy would love speaker hair clips. Let's have it JLabs, I know you are reading this.
These are Open Ear Headphones. The idea is that you can monitor your environment while going about your daily life. This is a great solution if you are walking / jogging alongside traffic, or if you have a houseful of children. These are not for audiophiles, but are for those who are looking for passive monitors to listen whilst still hearing the outside world.
I have not tried these yet. But the use case for these is; I want to hear my music without disturbing everyone else.....and....I need to hear everything else around me. Earbud designs with a"hear-thru" feature only relay sounds they record from their mini microphones. Jlab went around that and just allows you to hear the sound itself. I'm not saying these are good. But the idea is spot on.
I saw like 30 pairs on clearance at the Walmart I work at. They don't allow earbuds on the job so I'll try these, my hair is long enough that no one will notice unless the volume is loud.
I just ordered a pair, I'm excited for them. I'm not allowed to listen to music on a speaker at work, and I tend to mishear people when I wear one headphone over my ear, so this open sound concept is perfect for me.
I have a lot of headphones from bose to airpod, from over-hear to on-ear to in-ear. The problem with them is after long time of usage my ears hurt. I am stuck at home anyway ... I want to have something comfortable for all day audible indoor. This seems to fit the bill.
And I'd like to hear the doorbell when my deliveries arrive. I have been using bone-conduct Aftershokz headphones, the problem with those is I can't lay down on my back. And I am wearing prescription glasses anyway. So I guess these fit a niche.
Well I'm glad someone finds these useful lol for my use case it is not useful and I can't justify it's price either. You might wanna check out my latest aftershokz openmove review if you're looking for headphones that don't go on or in your ears. Also the oraolo neckband is another option as well
It loud for me and pretty good. I can hear what's around me without my ears being blocked. Calls are great. Ppl tell me they can hear noise but not the words. They don't slide as much either. I saw a lot of JLab's on clearance.
i am using the jlab frames. To keep there on my glasses i use (very small) 1/2 inch beauty shop rubber bands. There frames should have been designed better. After saying that, i still use them. i have never looked cool before and apparently i have not started now.
Sorry I didn't get the point why u won't recommended this. From my view, it's pretty much better than other boring headsets which's solo purpose is just as much as close to your eardrum to hit it. But this one , Won't hurt it too much.
I found your review informative. Looks like you're a big guy and your glasses frames barely hang over your ears. So speakers can't be adjusted to move close to your ears. 🤔 I'm curious to see if they would work out for me.
I have Geniculate Neuralgia and can't wear anything in or over my right ear. These aren't great but they allow me to listen to music at the gym so 4 out of 5 for me.

Yeah @Jlab, let's have it. Speaker piercings lets gooooo
Employer: No earbuds allowed and can lead up to disciplinary action.
JLAB: We've got you covered to get you through the shift!
Your job actually said that?? 😬
@thesentrygamer I'm buying these just because I work at Walmart lol.
@@oop2611 lemme know how it goes! I can’t stand Walmart radio
@@oop2611same😂
Lol, this is me looking for alternative ways to listen to music at work since they don't allow speakers or earbuds/headphones.

There are much better alternatives out there for "hear thru" headphones! Like the Sony ns7, aftershokz open move, etc
