tho depends how loud you have the audio. He did say that the surrounding people could hear the song so idk if that would 100% work in a quiet exam room but i'm sure a future model of this could fix that
I own a pair and absolutely love them tbh. Haven't used my earbuds at all. These aren't meant to replace your over the ear headphones, they're meant to let you listen to music and videos without disturbing others but also still being able to react to somebody talking to you. They're great while driving cause you can answer calls and listen to your GPS without taking ur hands off the wheel for more then a second. They're great indoors as well, I use them every other week at the doctors office while waiting. I also use them in public all the time. Not one time have I thought they needed to be louder either, even when next to the beach at night with the waves and wind at around 80-90% I could hear them perfectly fine. @@t.terrell7037 idk how they stack up against other frames but i do think they're worth the price. Especially black friday price. I just bought them (rondo frame, the rayban style is played out to me) and I'll say this, they are great for what they offer. I did notice the phone you are using also effects the quality of sound. I tried them first on an LG stylo 2 and they were crackling in the lows however when I connected them to my Oppo Reno Ace Gundam Edition they sounded good with no crackle and with an equalizer and preamp you can fine tune them to sound great (note that the Oppo Reno Ace does come with Dolbay Atmos and a AAC setting for high quality audio also I recommend the app Music Speed Changer if your phone doesn't have a built in equalizer as well as if you want a preamp). As a rapper I can definitely confirm this isn't going to get rid of your headphones in the sound department for modern music as stated but it's first gen so I'm sure they can incorporate speaker quality consider they're pretty much speakers for your head. I'll also note that they sound clear like studio headphones and like studio headphones do not exaggerate the bass as most normal headphones and earphones do so for someone that uses studio headphones over the average headphones full of bass modern music won't be an issue in terms of thumping bass not being there. Lastly as a jazz musician the oldies sound great, I'm talking 20s to 80s sound great. The 90s sound pretty good depending on genre and the source the song is played on. There is no leeway on using a poor quality version of a track without noticing it like there is with most headphones for average listening. I haven't had a chance to just test out tons of modern tracks but based off what I have listened to you will need an equalizer and preamp to fine tune for certain songs when going from 90s on up. Edit: Price wise I'd say it depends on how you look at it, I adjust audio for my music all the time so it doesn't bother me but it may not be something you want to do. I actually wear glasses and plan to have prescription lenses put in the so I can bypass the no headphones rule at work though you can just put clear lenses in to do the same however some people don't want to break rules. I plan to use these things with my earbuds so I can get extra battery life as well as my eardrums a break but you may not care about that stuff. charge wise my phone has really good battery life so I can go 8 hours with my battery only getting down to 80 to 70 percent so carrying a charger for the glasses doesn't mean an extra cable for me. I got the glasses for 196(with the tax) due to my associate discount but without it it's 219(with the tax) but both figures maybe be a lot to you so it's all about what is worth it to spend for you.
Or you can just wear some headphones, works just as good. Cool sunglasses, just weird how it's only 3hrs of play time. Could have easily supported a battery that would last as long as the average wireless earbuds out there. Three hours is nothing; then got to charge for 2hrs. 👎 I guess it works if you have a short high hehe Otherwise I'd invest into something at least double that play time.

I have a question for you: I have one working ear, the other is completely deaf. Is there DSP in their implementation to compensate? Will it play both separate channels to one ear? (The Right) and simulate stereo albeit mono? Does it have microphones on the left to replay sounds hear on the left, to the Right channel only?? I know it’s not your concern, but any feedback on this would be helpful. I DID go through a few Bose ‘jawbone’ Bluetooth earpieces that would match up with the other side for stereo, or simulate stereo in the one side. (They WERE great until they stopped making Bluetooth ear buds... anyway? Thank you for your help...

@@TheDareD3vil in general it isn't, yes. But 200$ for some sunglasses that work as pseudo headphones only for when you're in the sun is a bit excessive for me. But yeah, that might be just me.
Believe me or not: When I was still at high school, we had this project in which we had to come up with a product and present it including a feasibility study. Guess what we had in mind at that time - admittedly less stylish and bulky?
Its simple...if you love innovation, you'll love this product! This was never marketed to replace ANY type of headphone/ earbud. It's an attempt to enter the smart glasses conversation but at a much smaller price point. I had them since they came out, and I like them. Do I use them consistently, no...BUT when I do I get the added benefit of having rayban style glasses with music and the ability to answer/ make calls, and use a voice assistant without having to fiddle with my phone. EVERYTHING IN THE TECH WORLD CAN'T BE A HOMERUN, SOMETIMES JUST GETTING ON BASE IS A GREAT ACCOMPLISHMENT!!!
Love the honesty! Great review. I hate the bought off reviews. You go buy them and it's a flop. Thank you for saving me from being really disappointed in purchase. Bose is kickass for inexpensive sound that has a wide sound reproduction. I figured they were too good to be true. You rock for real reviews!!!
I've tried these out, and honestly i love them, but they're in the wrong market. They need to make JUST the arms, then let other companies like Oakley, RayBand, etc make the shades. Cyclists would buy the hell out of these if they had cycling shades because you get music while being able to hear EVERYTHING around you. Most other people are either very particular with the style of their sunglasses, or they wear them solely for the brand. They definitely have no low end, but at lower volumes they have the fidelity. They're nice when relaxing outside with subtle music in the distance.
I bought these the other day. They’re really good and cool. However if you want polarised and 99% UV rated you have to buy seperate lenses ($45 aud) not sure if the standard lenses are IUV rated but they are not polarised
Wow, your standards of reviews are way above those found in Asia like Philippines, was looking for JBL Soundgear audio quality, none of them mentioned this first as this is an audio device, even an Australian UA-camr the same no mention of the sound quality at all. Great video here, truly high standards providing everything the potential buyer needs to know covering from looks to unboxing and desirability. Americans, always the leader.❤

tho depends how loud you have the audio. He did say that the surrounding people could hear the song so idk if that would 100% work in a quiet exam room but i'm sure a future model of this could fix that

Was wondering how well this works for prescription glasses. Aren't they heavy or uncomfortable over a long period of time?
Dang, and here I thought I'd get some glasses that I could sneak on in class and listen to music on.
Vicstone GR1 why can't you? He didn't say they were bad, they just weren't for him

These are the future. Once bose makes deals with sunglass companies and prescription lenses then its game over
They already have. The local Bose store in my area is partnering with a local Laurier Optical for prescription lenses.
@@TheCluelessCanadian we're in the endgame now
I own a pair and absolutely love them tbh. They do need to be water resistant and have a better battery life however.
So in your opinion, they are worth the price? Better than the Echo Frames? Thanks
@@t.terrell7037 idk how they stack up against other frames but i do think they're worth the price. Especially black friday price.
Its important to remember they're meant to give you the ability to listen to ur phones audio while still listening to your surroundings so a lot of people that say they're not loud enough are expecting them to be so loud you cant hear anything but imo they're loud enough.

I got the glasses for 196(with the tax) due to my associate discount but without it it's 219(with the tax) but both figures maybe be a lot to you so it's all about what is worth it to spend for you.
atleast when you talk back to your teacher you can listen to your own "bose music"

Me : No,Because It Was "EXPENSIVE"
I love mine haha. Getting high as fuck and having these on with music is the best
all i needed was a reason .. and by golly this is it .. thanks friend .. lol
Or you can just wear some headphones, works just as good.
Cool sunglasses, just weird how it's only 3hrs of play time.
Could have easily supported a battery that would last as long as the average wireless earbuds out there.
Three hours is nothing; then got to charge for 2hrs. 👎
I guess it works if you have a short high hehe
Otherwise I'd invest into something at least double that play time.
Nice and concise! Thank you, but what frames is Will wearing?
Wow, I cant use earphones at work. I wish they would make an industrial version of these glasses! Would totally invest in them.

You can use it to cheat in exams 😂😂

Did you here that : hmmmm okay 0:47 ... it should be a meeeme ...
Glad to see your still using the one plus
I've tried these out, and honestly i love them, but they're in the wrong market. They need to make JUST the arms, then let other companies like Oakley, RayBand, etc make the shades. Cyclists would buy the hell out of these if they had cycling shades because you get music while being able to hear EVERYTHING around you. Most other people are either very particular with the style of their sunglasses, or they wear them solely for the brand. They definitely have no low end, but at lower volumes they have the fidelity. They're nice when relaxing outside with subtle music in the distance.
Lew you should try the Vuzix Blade Smart glasses
