Take the bad with the good. Things tend to even out if that's what the majority of user want. The devs behind vrchat are pretty good ones so I say give them a bit of benefit for now.

I've been playing VRChat for 9 days now, and I would say that No Time Two Talk is currently my favorite world. It's a simple world where you're paired up with a person for two minutes before you're back in the search queue and be paired up again with another person, and I think it's a great place to practice your social skills especially for the more introverted ones.
Oh, looks like this is what I've been needing! Though I imagine there are tons of people in each world, and my potato laptop cannot handle more than 5 people in one instance, or it will freeze the game to the point where I have to restart my computer as a whole.
Still, gotta remember this one!

It never occurred to me that there was more than just standing around and talking with people. I somehow never realized there could be simple games like Spin the bottle let alone Laser Tag, Movie rooms, and weird psychedelic experiences. I can't wait till tomorrow to actually venture around and see what I can actually find, this genuinely got me excited to try VRchat out for the first time.

@@technolus5742 they are preparing to allow world creators and avatar creators to monetize their products in game rather than relying on external markets.
This has been outlined in previous roadmaps and is a good thing

My first 15 minutes in vrchat consisted of finding an avatar, and for the first time setting foot in a public instance of the great pug, only to see two trusted users in futa avatars going at it in the maintenance stairs in the back.
Yep that was surely a way to break the ice alright.
This was exactly what I needed to find a reason to hop on VRChat. I've been getting burnt out on just seeing the same worlds, or just lost on where to go. Don't really have a consistent friend group in VRChat to hang out with, so I find myself wandering world to world just seeing what VRChat has to offer. This video definitely has led me the right way.

Same it’s so hard finding real decent people to be friends with and explore worlds together on here everyone I’ve met has been fake and just mean! It’s depressing! If you want a real true friend to explore worlds with comment back and I’ll tell you how to find me! I hate feeling alone on vrchat! Just want to find decent people to hang out with when I’m on vrchat!
I’m very thankful for this video! I was one of those people who played vr chat a couple of times and found nothing more than annoying people and simple rooms ending up in a dusty quest for over a year. It'd be really cool to see what the other communities are like and chillout seems like a great option to look into, they already hired a bunch of the big modders and have implemented most of the mods everyone loved in vrchat into their base game which is amazing

chillout is very new and didn't have a huge userbase till now, so its been really lacking in worlds from what I understand, but hopefully that'll change as it grows with all this new attention~

GREAT GREAT GREAT VIDEO!!!!! I can't stress that enough! For an almost 3 year VRchat player like myself there even some worlds I haven't seen on this list that look awesome! My very first vibey world was Treehouse in the Shade and I fell in love. It has been my #1 favorite for all these years, I hugely recommend to go here after a night of drinking ore hanging with friends and bringing the whole group with you. It's a fun world to customize and there are chairs you can sit in and fly around in the sky with friends! I'm looking forward to checking out the worlds on this list I haven't heard of, thanks for making this video and the time you both spent on it regardless of the drama going on with the game right now

I feel like VRC community needs a video like this ESPECIALLY in the wake of EAC news. I haven’t played VRC in probably over 6 months but this definitely makes me want to go back and check it out.

I gotta love both content creators for making vr possible and known to the community, unfortunately EAC has pledged the unthinkable as alternatives have been popping out of the blue besides this problem, but for the content creators thank you so much for creating such amazing content and making my curiosity.

"We spent weeks on this video for this game right before the fire occurred!" On the bright side, VR Creators are what mod free VR Chat amazing! They will always push the SDK despite the back and forth everyone has in VR life.

Im empressed with the new B club. When Blue tossed the link for the wip it was over 200MB and he mangaged to bring it down to just over 100. Somethings did change. There was a hallway that had rc cars but now its just a dead end with a bunch of boxes. It was neat to see the wip and how it changed as stuff was added.

Great video and all but Thrillseeker did say there was gonna be a marker saying if the worlds were pc or quest and pc compatible, there’s no maker next to the names and it’s gonna be a lot of searching for worlds for quest users not knowing which ones are compatible or not without the icon next the names in this video. Just letting you guys know that there might’ve been something missing in the editing process of this video.

There are soooo many worlds. I love going through the new world section to find some gems.
I'm glad Aquarius was added to the list. Its been my homeworld for months now and its always relaxing to go to whenever I need to get away from things.

@@technolus5742 I know and I'm sure she knows as well. I actually played CVR very early on and I'm glad people are playing it now. Funny how the only way to behead a monopoly is to wait for that company to hurt itself lol
@@RyzawaVT yeah, but its kind of like Facebook where even if the company does something really wrong people have a hard time actually leaving since their social networks and their content is there.
Vrchat management doubled down on their stance. They hurt but they did not fall. They didn't even bend.
I think this doesn't bode well for the future of vrchat. They have plans for an in-game market provably with their own currency, and I think they will keep tightening things up and constraining users so they have to go through their official channels.
We thought this was the freedom oasis, but it was IOI all along.
no Time Two Talk is my favorite for talking to new people, a couple of my friends do World Hoping where we exlore new worlds by jumping to new worlds

Exploring is super fun! I've been collecting portals (updating my world monthly since last October) and the grind just never ends.
Places found in the "new" and "random" tab, others you search around the internets or hear about while talking to people, and of course other world repositories holding so many portals, there are multiple ways to expand your exploration repertoire. One section of my portal world is dedicated to other repositories, so even if people don't find what they want at my place they can try again at someone else's. Where's my place? Nowhere actually, it's just a *gate between worlds* after all...
Shameless promotion aside, this is the best moment to start exploring. If you like wandering in VRchat, just do it! It's a nice way to kill time if your friends are away because of timezones or protests. Just build your repertoire of favorites and create your own tour to show friends that no matter if VRc makes dumb descisions, the content born from hard work of the community is still worth a visit! If this video inspired you, don't let controversies kill your explorer's heart.

Worlds can totally exist in both platforms, in fact they should have from the start if people wanted to support platforms. What's next, when they're bored of chillout they're gonna delete them then re-post in VRc?

Hello everyone here, I need your help asking the following question: How does the EAC update in VRCHAT affect the worlds and spaces for the users?
Context: I'm doing a career switch to focus on environment design for VR Worlds design experiences, and based on my personal research I chose VRCHAT to start making experiments for environmental worlds design, but recently after the backlash of the EAC update I can't find punctual information how this will affect the customer environments the users have created, especially thinking about the initial disclaimer of this video.
Thanks for reading and as a side question: What other platforms might fit my world's design curiosity and custom environment experiments?

I’m not sure, I guess it’ll be fine if any of the stuff you have in your world isn’t a mod that EAC can detect. I believe VRC is going more towards a legal professional stand point from what I hear. It’s rumored that they are removing all copyrighted material from their game, content that they don’t own such as legend of Zelda avatars and worlds, halo, etc…to avoid legal action against them.
@@Unchainedful hey this is a great answer, all branded content will be removed. I understand this motivation from VRC but at the same time I see other platforms such as Artstation where the users upload their versions of branded content.
This EAC legal point of view brings 2 open doors:
1. Brands start partnering with VCR as they do with other platforms like Roblox or sandbox. Giving certain level of flexibility to the users to create wearable or spatial content.
2. Users will be forced to develop experiences, wearables and spatial content inspired by the same universe of VRC. It means that external culture and brands won’t be taken in consideration in the creative process.

Oh man, it's always great to hear of new world's! Veteran player here....I miss when VRChat's Hub used to have a random world portal....you could explore much easier that way....good to know there's repository worlds!
One of my old favs is Moody, another chill house but you can change the location outside :)
I stumbled on Treehouse in the Shade as one of my first VRchat worlds only a few weeks ago and it's still my favorite...Then again Adrift might become my new favorite. I'll have to check that out real soon. Really all of these are awesome.
The timing of what happened with VR Chat is so unfortunate.
This video was kind of perfectly what I was looking for. I just got into the modding for VR Chat recently and it fixed so many issues I had with the base game. It made me want to give VR Chat another proper try so I can better chip away at my social anxiety.

When I was playing it way back when one of my biggest complaints was the worlds and how it felt like you were just presented the same spotlighted options over and over again without any new variety. So regardless of what's going on with VR Chat right now, great work on the video :D

Yeah after the shitshow with vrc devs going against the community,any of us are dealing our content and porting it to chilloutvr. Advise you to do the same. The vrc team really lost any trust they still had.

@@technolus5742 I was aiming to do all this in unreal engine to begin with, that’s before I found out about VRchat. I dislike unity, but I’ll be willing to give it another try as long as I find good tutorials about chill vr.

It's so annoying seeing a clip of a vtuber in a good world you want to visit but you got to find out manually what the world is.
I keep seeing these vrchat and consider it a big step for the metaverse, but what about MMORPGs using the VR system?
Zenith is the first real attempt at a VRMMO, but even then it has it's issues.

Also sorry that just when you got an index vrchat made performance worse (which lowers the max quality of the world's you can use without lagging), and killed the mods that increased performance, made pc experience better, and fixed all kinds of issues including crashers.
@@technolus5742 I suppose I'll never know what performance hit I'm getting but I have heard various stories about EAC. Some say they have a big hit after its added while others don't notice anything. It's possible EAC wont have that much effect on VRC since its mostly a GPU heavy game. EAC will mostly be chugging away on the CPU checking for cheat activity.
I've also yet to see anything indicating a coming pay wall? Do you have a source for this? I would like to check it out. The team do seem to want to support the community. The latest update indicates that they will be increasing the favourites list for all users not just VRC+ users:
"Adding More Favorites for avatars, worlds, and friends is also in our plans. No exact numbers yet, but we’ll be boosting everyone’s favorite count." From the Addressing your Feedback blog post.
This doesn't seem like a team intent on milking the community for everything they've got. I think they did listen, but feel pushed into a corner. They may have signed licenses that they feel obliged to use (for EAC).
Their mistake was not communicating with the community before hand. Anyway, don't want an argument, these are just my thoughts. Devils advocate type of thing.

Security update 4 fuck it we deleted the whole game becuase the previous updates effectively made the game pointless.
Really loved that you mentioned Museum of VR Painting! There are so many cool tilt brush/ VR art worlds popping up. Check out The Dinosaur Bone Gallery Museum; life size dino skeletons and other creatures all sculpted in VR and some are animated. There is a surprise in one of the lower levels, only way in is to jump in and no way out.
My will of not buying a Vr headset is crumbling. (:

you should have done that before meta put the price up.. you can play vrchat really great on them.
Please don't let something stupid like VRChat's security update ruin such a wonderful thing. We are so lucky to have VRChat and all the amazing creators making these avatars and worlds. I know people liked mods but some mods were dangerous for people and could really push away new players, they had to go, this is the case with any game of a certain size, Moving to other social vr platforms will not fix this, they would have to do the same once they pass a certain threshhold.
Did you check what mods actually did? most mods were not dangerous. Mods werent crashing your game, crasher avatars were. Mods werent ripping avatars, clients were. Mods prevented the crashing and enabled a lot of people to play who couldnt, they also made the game 1000x better with the qol and had some really cool features. EAC locks deep into your pc and is invasive also causing most people frames to sky rocket and performance tank. It should not be a welcome addition. Chillout VR actually welcomes the modding community because then it can be regulated and they can talk to the modders and actually work together and will never need EAC :)

This was a great list! I will recommend VRU Oasis for a club world that you should visit, since it's actually almost a whole city with something like 20 independently operating venues that a whole ton of different clubs use basically every night of the week. I'm very partial to the Citadel, since it's basically the VR goth club, used exclusively by VRCAfterDark. Great vibe all around. Now to add all these that I haven't been to onto my list XD
