Spreading Driveway Base and Building a Rock Wall with a Tilt Rotator

- Here I return to my family friend's place to improve the driveway entrance and access to the newly built home entrance I dug the footings for last year with the E42. I also repurpose the rocks I scraped out of the area into a rock wall using the CMP grapple and then dig a swale in the back to redirect roof water away from the house.
Equipment Used:
Excavator: 2022 Bobcat E50 R2-Series
Tilt Rotator: Steel Wrist X06 S40 with Integrated Grab & S40 Quick Coupler
Grapple: CMP NRG82

I think putting in that swale was an example of a cut corner being reattached.
Maybe you could help out a beginner. How would you price a job like that? Per hour plus material or a daily rate plus material?
I have been talking to dale from steel wrist about one for my e35 but some unforeseen expenses came up and the 37k price tag had to get put on hold. How are you liking the euro style buckets?
Damn, hopefully not too bad of a setback. I am really liking the euro style buckets. The shape is great for doing edge/blade work while not bumping the sides or back on close objects (like the stair treads in the video). Also really nice with the big underbite to pickup objects like rocks or logs.

have you tried them? it is so much easier to get stuff in the bucket and the taper allows for cutting curves so nicely. I am sold on these buckets even if I didnt have the tilty
I agree. After using standard buckets for over a few thousand hours and struggling to cup items in the bucket, these make such quick work of picking up stuff. They do also allow for making really nice cuts, curves with the shape of the bucket
Great video. That Steel Wrist excavator bucket really works well! I’m new to your channel and in two of the videos I’ve watched so far, you are using an electronic level. I’ve not seen that type before. Any chance you could post some information on it?
Thanks! Its a ZipLevel 2000, altimeter that uses gas and gives a digital read out of height. easier to use in small setup or bad line of sight areas over a laser.
what buckets did you get? I have a CB3 DB4T GB3 GB5 and a 5 finger grapple with mine. adding a concrete breaker this month to the list
I can't remember the model numbers, but initially ordered with 2' Tooth bucket, 48" Grading Bucket, Ripper and the CMP Grapple. I have an 18" Cable bucket, 48" Sorting bucket and Forks on order at the moment.
@@CarlsonSonLandscapingLLC mine is on a Sany 50 I will be watching your channel to see how the forks work for you. my two grading are 39" and 48", the weight of the 48 is a bit unstable for the Sany 50, it delivered with the 39". I hated the tooth angle on the 2' dig and had the adapters replaced so I can toss stones easily in to the bucket. the adapters are for a thicker cutting edge so when the manufacturer modified them to fit they tipped them the wrong way IMO made it maddening to chase a stone to get it in the bucket. just over 600hrs on it.
@@xxxmikeyjock Nice. So far the 48" has felt similar to the 48" bobcat bucket + power tilt to me on my E50. I have yet to use the digging bucket since Ive been able to wrangle around most rock with the tilt/roatate of the cutting edge + ripper
@@CarlsonSonLandscapingLLC curious if you will find the tooth angle wrong when you do put it on. the Cable bucket is the one that I havent figured out. the angle and length is so different then what I have run before. I think mine is 12" (I mostly install 4" drainlines) so the grab sticks out beyond it as well adding another thing to watch out for. a taper from cutting edge to width of grab would have been better for me.

Zip Level PRO-2000. It is a gas based altimeter, easier to set up and use for small jobs over a laser.

Thanks! It was an old ski house built in the 70s I think. Was just an amalgamation of styles and they are working to renovate it.
Should have used road fabric. All that gravel is going sink down in the dirt in one year. You'll be doing this again soon.
