    As a home owner I would've built the lake wall before building my home. Nice work, that's a nice clean up job. Love that tilt rotator, sure cuts down on having to reposition your machine so much.

    Wow, crazy big house, I know it crazy expensive today, but why not install a seawall, the block and poured concrete looks great though, what a nice lake and a nice setup they got there, well done again sir, thanks for sharing the projects.

    I simply love your videos, but with that said if you want just a little advice and a common courtesy, whatever you’re pulling up some heavy stuff always make sure your blade is down gives you more stability but besides that excellent work❤❤🎉🎉🎉

    what are the blocks behind the wall for? are they cemented on top of each other or just dry stacked? I like your small excavator would that do that job if it had a tilt rotator? nice project.

      My dad is an engineer as well, but has been doing handy work his whole life. So this was sort of the next natural step, the hurdle was just justifying the equipment costs, which I certainly have done in the work I have been able to get!

    I have a similar wall I need redone. I have questions….
    How do you know that base is not just going to sink into the lakebed??
    And any chance you can share what the homeowner paid for this wall?

    • @renesolaire8319
      @renesolaire8319 4 місяці тому

      Yes it’s probably not enough for not the wall to move or sink with time. For not to sink this would require vertical drilling / pouring, according to me. Or Steel poles force inserted in soil. Expensive project.

    Great project and video. But shouldn't footers be at least 4" under the water level? Ore else water curens can wash away everything under the footing. Maybe different form county to county. Nice property.

      If you are referring to the SteelWrist Tilt Rotator, It was around ~40k with install, two buckets and a ripper.

    I hear your maya culpa. That you didn't design this and you just did as told, etc. But quite frankly you (or some other excavator) may be back when the homeowner needs to get it fixed. When that wall fills with water then freezes...well, I don't need to say it, do I? I did sheeting, suring, underpinning and pile driving professionally. It looks real nice but.....

  • @bigjimflying7195
    @bigjimflying7195 4 місяці тому

    If the owners can afford that home in NH then surely the could afford a steel sea wall to be put in before your work portion. Would have made more sense.
    Other than that, Great Work.

    Who's the idiot that built the house before the seawall. The ends of the seawall should have been returned back into the bank similar to the way the stair well is. No rip rap at the base all that gravel is going out into the lake. Never built a sea wall without filter fabric behind it. Water freezes level it doesn't get stuck behind the fabric. Get rid of your engineer they have no clue what they're doing.

      How do you know it was a new build and not a remodel? In case you missed the first minute of the video there was an existing wall too..
