How To Install a USB Power Outlet - Charge Your Phone Without an Adapter

We think these USB power outlets are awesome. We'll show the easy way for how to install a USB power outlet to replace any existing power outlet. The biggest advantage of installing a USB power outlet is being able to ditch the power adapter! These outlets can regulate the correct amperage of power for any device you need charged!
Here are the steps we took:
1. Shut off power at the electrical breaker box
-- Test the power leads with a voltmeter to ensure power is cut off
2 & 3. Remove the existing faceplate and outlet
4. Remove the wires from the existing power outlet
5. Look over the instruction manual for any specific instructions
6. Prep your wires for installation and cut wires to appropriate lengths as needed
7. Attach the ground screw and insert the wires into the new outlet
8. Bend the wires to make it easy to push the outlet back into the wall
9. Push the outlet into the wall
10. Screw the outlet in
11. Attach the new faceplate
