Thank you so much for being here! 🙌🫶 I just love this season so much I apparently had to say it twice at the end 🙈😂 To check out our Recipe Guide head to www.ceciliablomdahl.com ❤️🫶
I really like what you did stitching together a few seconds from the same time each day throughout October. Showing the light differences from the same corner of the porch. What a cool project!
I love going into winter with you! For the past few years I’ve been following you, I’ve tried to implement your beautiful attitude and perspective about winter into my own life. Obviously, we don’t get winter like you do, but I used to dread the onset of winter but you’ve helped me embrace the cold and our “dark” days. I just adore you and am so grateful to be with you on your adventures even from afar. ❤❤❤
"When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change." This quote helps me to explain how your videos are very meaningful to me. I used to only view winter as dark and dreary, but through your perspective, you teach appreciation for things surrounding you. You showed me the hidden beauty of long winter nights and snowy days. Now I look forward to the winter season as enthusiastically as the other seasons. 😊 I love all your videos! Your narration is lovely and you show everyone a different way to appreciate what is right in front of us. Winter now equals a warm blanket of coziness for me. I love the joy and peace you, Christopher and Grim, bring to every video. My husband and I are even putting up the string lights around our livingroom this year! (I never saw that coming lol) 😊 Very best regards! ❤
My daughter and son in law just bought a electric fireplace and I love it and I have noticed when it is on my 5 and 7 year old grandsons seem to calm down. I am thinking they may get mesmerized by the faux flame even has light inside 😊
Now that I've seen the coffee supply in Svarlbard, I feel I would survive. I think Cecelia you might be doing much of the world a great service by showing how beautiful darkness and winter can be. I've resolved this year to write down each day something about winter that was lovely. It will not be easy. I noticed how much of the leaves are gone now after reaching peak color and that made me sad. But wait, now I can see deep into the woods! Ok, first thing to write. Love the new coat, looks great on you.
Under blue skies Magnificent carpets, Glistening in the sun, the snow lies; The transparent forest alone turns black, And the spruce turns green through the frost, And the river glitters under the ice.
My son 23 in love your location.. He even wants to visit and even start his life...We love your amazing films. Thank you so much to show how beautiful our Earth ❤🌍🙏
Hi, Cecilia! I accidentally discovered your channel some months ago and I'm really really really impressed by your content! Your videos are just like you say..a beautiful fairy tale! Your channel became a favorite from the very first video! Greetings from Greece! 🙂
I think this will be my third polar night season with you Cecilia. It’s such a beautiful time there! Thank you for sharing it with us. How exciting to see your channel growing so much! You’ll hit one million subscribers before you know it! ❤
What nature :), there's nothing there, not a twig, let alone a tree. OK, there is scrub; I watched a youtube on the least populated States, Alaska was way at the top of the list for less reasons than Svalbard. I immediately thought of Cecilia, who would be happy living on the moon.
Oh my this video gave me a sense of peace I wasn't expecting. Im in Nova Scotia, Canada but my mind and heart are in Svalbard. Thank you for the wonderful view into your polar winter. Hugs to Grim ❤
So happy that you was about to help out Jonna Jinton. It was sad that someone was able to steal her hard work and you help out!!!! 🎉 great podcast as always! Love ya
God Bless you for helping out Jonna Jinton!!! I look forward to every Sunday to tune in to your next video. I truly enjoy them. I love Grim! What a sweetheart of a dog! And I have an old lady crush on Christopher. He is just great and so accomplished. God Bless you both, and Grim!!! Bye, Bye for now
Glad I found you through Jonna. Love to discover great vloggers & storytelling to enjoy and relax from all the crazy out there. Thanks for sharing your life with us.
Hi, Cecilia, Christoffer, and most of all, the star of the show, Grim, your world is fantastic, the colors of the landscape is amazing, no one can capture that on a paintbrush, thanks for sharing, I am a lakota from the Black Hills of South Dakota,
I love how excited Grim gets walking through town, so cute! I enjoyed sipping coffee while watching you set up your new coffee machine 😄. Looking forward to your polar night videos but for now I can't get enough of that beautiful dark blue sky before it turns solid black. So amazing 😍
I just wanted to send a quick hello! You introduced me to this Voluspa candle and I am addicted. Thank you for your content and hello to Christopher and Grim😊
Well, since I am doing IF, my first cup of coffee is at 11 am, with breakfast. I am with you in Svalbard, enjoying the Polar Night. Cecilia, you are a wonderful photographer/editor. I so enjoy your content. Now, you are part of my every week. It is late autumn here in Boston and we are starting to feel the winter chill. I am grateful for your hard work. You bring my 76 year old life much joy! ❤
Thank you for just being you and discovering your special gift of sharing life with the world. When I feel stressed out I will try to watch a video of yours because it calms me. I have to smile when Christopher is in the video because he is kind of like a straight man in a comedy duo.
Thank you so much for brightening my Sunday afternoons in Belfast. I enjoy the city, but my soul needs the cosy magic of the warm cabin by the sea and mountains 💗🪄 ✨🌛
The Polar night is so magical and I think that it has the power to bring a lot of joy and happiness!! This spectacle is unique and you are very lucky to experience it. Grim, Cecilia and Christoffer, you all are marvellous! ❤❤❤ Thank you so much.
I used the beginning of this video with my first grade science students to add more context to what it means for humans when the days get shorter during the winter! What a lovely video. They all want to visit Svalbard now!
Sunday treat: coffee, sofa and Svalbard ❤ Thank you Cecilia, Christoffer and of course Grim for making our days more cozy and warm. My mom and I watch old videos all week waiting for new adventures !
Here, down in Donkerhoek, South africa, we are excitingly(and anxiously) anticipating Svalbard's winter. We just had winter Here recently. Many years, we are literally skipping winter; at worst, we have it for 6 weeks. Here, a cold front is when the maximum of the day is between 25°C or less. 25°C is bad weather here. But this winter that just passed, was the coldest I've ever had. I didn't grow up where people used air-conditioning at home. It is still uncommon to use at home. But thankfully we are not in a winter rainfall area, but... this past winter it rained a l-o-t. On the cold days, even during lunch-time our grocery shops were empty. We were really scared of the cold. Like, what if your lungs will freeze and then you can't breathe, after you inhaled the cold air? There was never a big difference between the outside temperature and the inside temperature. We can even feel the wind from outside blowing straight through our place. But this year, even before autumn started, the air felt so cold on my bare skin. And it really became painful later on. The the worst was the anticipation of the UNKNOWN, the fear of winter. Our houses and clothing are not adapted for the cold. But it was not so bad. At worst it was very cold for a few days(4-7 days at most), then the cold broke and it was warmer again. Just as our Spring started, the first day was 34°C. I thought we were going to suffer so much a few months later on, when the real summer would come. But fortunately, the same pattern followed, and the heat wouldn't stay. But our last week of winter, when I drove to work 5:45a.m. as usual, I got a fright when the car's electronic panel read -8°C. How am I going to breathe, will my car make it to work? By 06:15, it was 0°C . When I look back, the cold days, was a maximum of 16°C. Except the last week, it never went below 0°C at night. And the average weekly temperatures stayed the same from the beginning to the end. And it was 4 and a half months cold! But we managed without air-conditioning or heaters. Even though the power we out daily, and even for days at a time, firewood is cheap(5 krone per bag) and cook outside after 10 am. I think the winter will be fine, so long if there is enough food, for when it is too cold to go out, or snowed in. Things are never as bad as they seem. 🤠🐻❄️🐱😊
I so agree with you when you said this is my favorite kind of light, the softness of dusk, and I have to admit nighttime is my favorite time, so I think I would absolutely love being up there. Thank you so much for allowing us to see into your world, it is truly breathtaking!
When its snowy and twilight with those pink, oranges and blues ive never seen anything so stunningly beautifully. Lucky lady! Keep up the great videos!
As a minnesotan, i’ve always dreaded day light savings time ending and it getting dark at 17:00 but your polar night videos make me appreciate the cozy winter darkness. now send us all the snow this winter! (climate change really has messed with Minne-Snow-ta).
I can't say it enough how much I look forward to your posts Cecilia every Sunday. Sometimes I will watch your episodes multiple times because i enjoy your adventures with Grimm and Christoffer. I'm super excited about your new coffee machine and I was literally giggling right along with you when you were unboxing it. Hopefully it makes some tasty coffee. Also thanks to you I too have a bit of a beanie obsession- absolutely love your style. Both your jacket and Grimbo's jacket looks fantastic on both of you. I'm looking forward to content from you every Sunday. God bless, stay safe, stay warm and most importantly stay CECILIA. Sending you XXXX from West Virginia.

I just want to thank you for living there and sharing with us. Not a chance in hell I could live with polar darkness. So without you I’d never get to see this beauty.
Cecilia, it’s like you live in a beautiful watercolor painting. You and Christoffer have certainly made what started out as a humble little cabin into a very cozy home. Grimm is very handsome in his new jacket and seems to have missed his calling as a model. 💙I also follow Jonna Jinton and was so happy you were able to help her . Two beautiful women supporting each other. Thank you for another wonderful video.
Cecilia, me and my hubby took an example from you and hung Xmas LED lights along our living room... WE LOVE IT and we use it all year round. It makes our space so charming and cozy, and it's the perfect lighting for watching TV. Thank you for sharing your experiences, I really calm down while watching your videos. Greetings from PL.
Cecilia, you look fabulous in your new red coat.❤ Grimm also looks wonderful in his new coat. I hope you all stay warm and healthy! Lots of love from Canada 🇨🇦.

I love this season in Svalbard, the scenic winter views are amazing, I can see why you like it so much. I am definitely looking forward to all the up and coming vlogs Thank you Cecilia, Christoffer & Grimm x
Started following Cecilia during the last polar night, and didn't even realize they live on the water until a few months later! Love how they appreciate the cold, dark coziness!
It's not all hardwood floors, just that one corner of the cabin. I'm actually curious if maybe the wiring or vents run under there? For some reason that section is scary and dogs do have better hearing than we do.
