My 4 year old daughter watched this with me. She said the northern lights look like colorful wind. And when she saw you chopping wood, she said, "I thought only boys could do that!" I assured it that girls can definitely chop wood too! Thank you!
It’s 2023 and girls still grow up thinking like this. I’m glad she got to see an independent woman.
A girl who has lived 4 years with such thoughts has a mother that isn't doing enough to show her what is possible for her future.

You nailed it, in my 30s I felt better in my own skin and in my 40s I felt like I had it sort of figured out. In my 50s I realized how great I was in my 30s and 40s - now in my early 60s I feel like I had silly priorities. I say, embrace each decade to the fullest no matter what!

In my 30s I was career & retirement focused, in my 40s I added community service, in my 50s I zeroed in on being able to retire in my early 60s and now, in my 70s, I wonder how on earth I put up with all the BS I needed to in order to survive the 30s - 50s……also, I am desperately trying to get rid of all the STUFF I accumulated during my 30s and 40s😵💫🙄😂

As someone who loves both the dark and the extreme cold and comparative solitude, this life, this existence, would be pure heaven for me.
I told my daughter about finding your channel. I explained what your situation is and all the things you show us in your cozy cabin, in the village and on your adventures. She is GenX and a Capricorn so has a tendency towards doubt and negativity and said, "Mom, you know that it's all just set up to look that way to get likes and clicks." I laughed and said, "Polar night isn't 'made up', wood fires, chunky blankets and candles ARE cozy and delightful - I'm sure she has them all the time in that cold....and on like that. I do think that your channel only appeals to certain types of people and I am happy to be one of those people!! Can't wait for more.
As an American many married couples that I know use only one blanket, but I totally agree with having separate blankets. I move around a lot at night and need my own blanket. It works so much better. It keeps my husband and I from fighting. 😊
As an American-German I can tell you that I finally convinced my boy-friend to have 2 blankets. We are in Tahoe. I need a really heavy blanket and he always rolls himself like a mummy into the blanket. Definitely 2 blankets time. 🙂
The way you record I’m always surprised I never see any of your equipment which makes your videos even more magical but I’m sure it’s a lot for you to bring this content without that presence to us so thank you ❤

I have always loved the sound of the snow crunching under foot on cold crisp quiet nights.
I think that light anomaly is a drone -- it looks like it's being carried or launched at the beginning of your footage. Maybe someone else shooting gorgeous polar night footage? I love this channel -- the light, the fellow snow lover, the darkness, animal content ...all of it!

I want to thank you because I struggle very much with seasonal depression here in Wisconin winters and you being open and honest in the past about how you approach the drastic seasons has really helped/inspired me. I now have lit my home woth cozy lights and flameleas candles and look forward to slow mornings and evenings. I appreciate you, your insight and all the hard work you and Christopher put into these videos. Thank you for helping me take a different view point about the darkness 🎉

Happy Birthday Cecilia! I remember being in my thirties and loved it. While never meeting my life goals as I wanted, I’m very thankful for making it to 70. Loving the blue light at 2 pm! We complain about daylight saving time going away for the winter, but I love to see what the Scandinavians do to decorate their homes for winter and live the candles and ambience! ❤

I've learned so much about life during Polar Night and Polar Day and how to deal with extreme conditions both with grace and appreciation. I saw something similar in Switzerland in Fribourg. It was green and did a really weird up and down then horizontal FAST MOVEMENT. No clue what it could be.

I live in the north and we dont have snow yet and growing up around this time there was always snow on the ground so hearing the sound of the snow under your boots is such a vibe for me right now!!!

Happy birthday Cecilia!! Im a November baby too ❤30's was my best decade for sure, although my 40's has been more about becoming comfortable in my own skin, accepting my body shape/size and not feeling so insecure constantly. Nearing my 50's now, which is terrifying 😂
Having a dog definitely makes a difference if you're alone, I know I felt secure when my partner worked nights as Nala would alert me to anything. Our fur babies are so key to our happiness and safety, we are so lucky to have them❤
Don't be afraid of your 50s, dear one. Menopause, once it comes (for me - it was in my 50s), is a freaking revelation!!! It is a whole different world on the other side. Much happier and peaceful. I just hit 60 this year and so far, best year of my life. Whoever said... "Come, grow old with me - the best is yet to be" really got the memo :D

I thought that bright light might be a drone, but the trajectory looks more like a little rocket. It looks like it came from a place with lots of lights so a home or the town. Very interesting! 😊
