    Why would you keep full throttle if the truck is bouncing so hard? There's never a good outcome when the driveline starts getting loaded and unloaded rapidly

      Especially with big turbos it’s possible to spin them way faster than they’re designed to. And when they come apart they really come apart.

    We all have a habit of some sort be it drag racing, tractor pulling etc, and we all know the possible costs we are dealing with and in cases like these you built the truck and engine and when something lets GO you dont dwell on it your only real thought is can I get this up and running by the next round?

    Had to watch a second time, that first truck did indeed drop its battery! Suspension I can understand, but how the hell does a battery drop out like that?

      Turn key around $50000.00To $300000.00 also depends on the class your in to run bigger the prize the more it cost but if you got a good sponsors it help a lot big money big time

    Why not to set a very soft rear suspension, so it wont.. Kick like that?

      The gear ratios in those 4x4 are very high they can wheelie backwards so a soft suspension probably wouldn't help

      Softer rear suspension only makes the problem worse. With these solid rear suspension the only give is in the tires. The weight of the sled generally keeps the rear planted. But when your trying to put down 3000+ft/lbs of torque sometimes things go awry

    Looks like the tie rods or front axles keep breaking and not enough front weight for the pulling the tractors done better except for that last tuck it done ok

    I watched the Red Tractor at 1:20 in ultra slow-motion. There where two explosions. The first blast is what did-in the motor as exhaust from the engine turns white, then stops entirely. A split second after, there's another internal blast as whatever was released ignites the flames.

      @@woohunter1 Too fast for my eye to see exactly what blew. I do see a persistent glow from the engine's right side after the first flash, probably the flame that ignited the engine itself.

    If diesel pulling guys actually had some Data acquisition on these things, i.e turbo speed, back pressure, coolant pressure etc etc, they would rarely blow up motors as much as they do. Mostly because an aftermarket ECU of some type would save them

      Where’s your pulling truck ??…. Guess the 100’s of hours and sleepless nights to build a truck from the ground up and have over 60 hooks on it and break one time which literally cost less than $150 to fix, of which we borrowed from our dads 👌🏻

      @@BUILTDIESELMAFIA well, I was thinking maybe the radiator broke, however, melting ice sloshing around is a bit interesting. so these things use ice to cool the hotter than normal running engines, fascinating. I guess ye had to be there to know what's going on kind of thing, I couldn't tell from the vid clips.

    does nobody understand suspension geometry here? almost every truck had some fucked up front end alignment. tires all willy nilly and the wheels were pointed in way too far. especially on the gm's that have known tie rod end issues in hard launches. half the reason the back started jumping on those like they did was the front end alignment. it forces the front end to try to crush its self and pushes it down. which forces the rear end up while the weight keeps pushing it down harder. so it goes to bouncing and breaks everything.
