I always knew Tseng was strong since the original when we never saw him fight ever. We see him fight after 27 years of waiting.
He shot at Genesis in Crisis Core. That counts as fighting
@XcuzeTheMessDeer Not to mention Tseng carries the Gaia equivalent to a 1911, although I'm pretty sure Vincent Valentine's Cerberus the most powerful handgun in-universe.
@@codylontoc8065 Yeah, Vincent's gun is probably the most powerful one, but Tseng's is a beast too.
I mean, in Crisis Core there is a cutscene where he freaking one-shots two Bloodhounds while Zack chases after Genesis.
@dinorex3464 Yea, they don't talk much about the firearms of Gaia, but it's plausible to assume Shinra makes sure the Turks get nothing but the best firepower.

Kinda more excited that they added a Tseng bossfight than I am for anything else they added. That dude was always wasted potential, and also a smug prick.

It really gives me Xenoblade Chronicles series like vibes.
A cool detail I like about the Turks fight is their weaknesses against elements.
Reno: Fire
Rude: Wind
Elena: Lightning
Tseng: Ice
The Full Turk Squad is gonna be rad in part 3.
Interesting! Their weaknesses are the elements that they can be compared to. Well, maybe except for Rude and Wind, but I think someone smarter than me can somehow figure out their similarity.
@@r0dders Rude's element is obviously earth in how he focuses on sheer power and defense when fighting. However, there's no Earth-aspected damage in the game despite having Quake materia. Wind is the only one left.
@@r0dders Best I can come up with is that he can be very relaxed and calm but also become a storm of brute strength and destroy almost anything in his path. You are definitely right about the comparable elements - Reno is a firebrand and can be purely malicious, Tseng is an ice cold professional, and Elena is definitely an electric personality.

This boss fight made me happier than anything else in this game. I didn't expect it at all. Aerith finally got to kick his ass and I love Elena's character lol
Did anybody notice that Tseng does the pose of his original artwork just before the fight?
I really love how they improve Tifa and Aerith relation in these games.
Waiting for this firaja song to release. Can’t believe no one has mentioned it yet. Hamauzu can be hit and miss but definitely nailed it here. Got the end game vibe mixing with turks motif p well.

In the OG game if you read On the Way to a Smile Caith Sith saves Tseng not Vincent
I thought Tseng would be a gunman because of Before Crisis.
I mean, he does still have a gun. He seems to use the power of all the Turks. A gun like Elena, marital arts like Rude, and stunning blows like Reno.
He is their boss. It makes sense that he taught them everything they know.
@@Thecommander248Zack trusted him with Aerith before. And they went on a lot of off-screen missions together. Its implied that Zack is aware of how good of a warrior he is. And given that he leads the Turks, he must really be that powerful.

One of the fights where I dearly wished we had gotten a closer camera option (more like remake). Would've loved to see those moves close-up!

@@VOXivero people have talked about hating the graphics. Or hate the whispers etc. We don't talk enough about how many more opportunities to fight the shinra members. Case in point an actual boss battle with Tseng which wasn't in original.

Kinda funny the party doesn't have a problem with cloud murdering people 90 percent of the time but when he tries to kill the turks who arguably deserve it more than most they act all high and mighty 😂

Tseng uses the pistol in the fight sparingly
Rufus, Barret, dyne, Elena, tseng, rude (in the OG when he pulls his gun and shoots corneo) vincent, most of the shinra infantry, Weiss (gunblade but still a gun) Nero the sable, deepground soldiers etc.
I wasn't sure about elena as a turk but she grew on me

I think I prefer the Japanese's opening speech over the English once the fight begins, if I'm not wrong; Tseng said spare Aerith only. I always like whacking Elena. Her Japanese VA is good haha
Glad they gave tsang a fight....but Im kind of sad that they didnt give him and elana more distinguished weapons. Give that girl a whip! Toss tsang a samurai sword! Should have given rude a tonfa or something.
Kinda was looking forward to seeing palmer with some kind of magicite cannon pistol...and was hoping scarlet would throw down with a cigarette wand. Meh...we all have dreams.
