    • @DividedTides
      @DividedTides  3 роки тому +3

      Gday Jens. It's a little process but pretty simple. Move the right side hinge out to its furtherest point. You ll need to grind off one round bolt head to do this. On the left side, buy x2 20mm female/female PVC joiners to act as spacers. Get some longer bolts for that left hand side as well. That's pretty much it mate. 🤙

    Very nice build. Do you get enough charge to your second battery via the kings dual battery isolator? I thought those model pajeros have smart alternators?

    • @DividedTides
      @DividedTides  3 роки тому

      Gday Lee. Mine is a 2015 with a normal alternator. Plenty of charge to my 2nd battery, stays on full charge constantly. Then can use that as a camp battery and will last about 4 days without any input from solar or starting the car ✌

    • @ljaxxonmudgee
      @ljaxxonmudgee 3 роки тому +1

      @@DividedTides Oh nice, thats pretty easy then. I just bought myself a 2013 Pajero 3.2 diesel and im trying to work out if its got a smart alternator or not. I checked the voltage when the car was running (everything turned off like radio, lights etc) and i got 14.12v so from what i read i think that means its not a smart alternator. Otherwise i should be seeing between 12 - 13v if it did. Its a great car though, very impressed with its offroad capabilities. Your build gives me some ideas. :)

    • @DividedTides
      @DividedTides  3 роки тому

      Hi mate 🤙 from factory, they're super smooth and fairly quiet. The 3.2 has plenty of grunt for towing and I'd go as far as saying, the 4x4 of choice for nomads based on performance and price. However, give them a exhaust with a tune up and you have a complete different car!

    • @DividedTides
      @DividedTides  2 роки тому +1

      G'day mate. It's very simple. You'll need to unbolt and drill out the headless bolt on the right side where the hinge is. Move the hinge out to the next bolt holes.
      On the left side, you'll need 2, 20mm PVC joiners. Grab those from bunnings. They're basically a female/female joiner for 20mm PVC pipe. They'll be used as the spacer on that side.
      Lastly, you'll need longer bolts that hold the whole thing in place... and that's it.
      Bolts were the hardest thing to find. Odd length, diameter and thread. For me, I just paid a boily $20 to make the original ones longer. Hope this helps 🤘
