We have a 20 year old LWB shogun 3.2 diesel here in the UK. We use it for towing a caravan. Only done 100. 10 thousand miles which is very low milage for it's age. We have owned it for 18 years and it's solid and never let us down, a great vehicle.
Yaaaay!!! Finally an NW! Can’t wait to see all the mods you do as well as demonstrating off-road capability. I have a 2013- hopefully some big mods done the next month. Already bought some stuff off your website and will be getting more. Appreciate you for being Pajero specific. Thanks legend! 🤝🏼
Good choice for now and the future. The LWB is and the only choice for a budget 4 x 4 , fully modded, off road Paj. If you can apply all those SWB mods to the new rig you have a beast off-road. It is such a underrated off road vehicle that is rarely shown on UA-cam vids. I'm impressed that you have the TC mod for the factory diff lock, I remember the hacks like 10 years ago for this on the Paj forums would cost a small fortune but now its plug and play and under $200. Having the option to go High 4 on the beach without TC is awesome.
Thats it Marty! Best value for money and apart from that just an awesome reliable beast! Very excited to make it hopefully better than the shorty cause Im going to miss it😂🙌🏼
Great video, have previously owned a 94 v6 swb Paj and currently have an NT lwb Diesel which has been great for 8 years. Looking to get an NW or NX if budget permits, love them. If the Pajero was a Toyota it would be universally worshipped as the best vehicle ever created. Love an underdog though!
I have had the exact same year Pag for 8 years. Bullet proof. Hope you Fit a dash strengthening kit so centre dash doesn't end in your lap. Different as chalk and cheese once fitted.
I looked at shorty Paj when I was shopping for mine, but concluded they are rare (in diesel, here in NZ, and only in JDM imports), relatively expensive as less 'deals' compared to LWB, couldn't tow as much and had nowhere near the usefulness of a LWB. All to gain a little departure angle, to be fair is something a Paj LWB desperately needs. So I bought LWB exceed and very happy with the decision
@@budget4x4life For an off-roader, all being pretty short and stout..... would you prefer the SWB, Jeep Wrangler, or maybe Suzuki Jimny ?? Thanks in advance!

Looks good mate. I’m looking forward to buying one of the LWB for daily uses. But most of the used LWB available at my place here are 3.8 V6 Mivec and the 3.2 DiD are quite rare. Was is a wise decision of buying the 3.8 Petrol version, or should I just wait for a 3.2 DiD?
@@joshng2956 depends what you use the car for. No problems with the petrol. If you are daily driving or towing go diesel. Weekender a petrol would be fine 🙂
Interested to see if you put a rola pioneer system on the roof with the backbones. Only issue I've had with the NW is cracking the oil cooler and flooding the radiator. Btw it's a great family vehicle 😉
