    Even an ax14 pro j arm on a PVS 14 is well worth the money. Say it's raining you can leave it down and articulate it up out of the way without filing the objective with water. I'd definitely buy it again. I've never had it moved. Wether you're running or driving it stays where you put it.

    I was gonna go with a DTNVS but I think I’m gonna go with an ARNVG now. It makes me uneasy about a housing that can break so easy with a short warranty with a DTNVS.

    Man just one more feature with adding manual gain and the ARNVG would have literally all the features.

      And really that’s not even a must have. You can get some cheap adjustable irises and get the same function

      @@patrickm.blanchard8497 I live in densely wooded areas so I would take manual gain over an onboard IR illuminator because I’m going to need something more powerful regardless. Adding an iris is an unnecessary workaround IMO.

      @@Veritas1992 Manual gain only is there to adjust down the brightness of the tubes. Living in densely wooded area and onboard IR would be beneficial for walking with no moonlight or traversing thick areas.

    With the RPNVG’s does having those upgraded RPO lens make a difference or does having better quality tubes like L3 over Elbit make a bigger difference?

    What’s the weight difference between this and the DTNVS?

    Can you run one tube on the modular battery pack and one on the housing/bridge on those rpnvg? Or do you need both modular batteries?

    I m new to NV.. are all the variants of RNVGs made with PVS 14 tubes? Is the difference in the housing or the tubes themselves also?

    • @saucywings
      @saucywings 3 місяці тому

      There is no such thing as pvs14 tubes. Just a pvs14 housing. The tubes are what makes them work at different quality levels think of the housing as wheels and the tubes as tires. You want a durable wheel but different tires offer different qualities in different conditions

    Please stop giving weight in grams. We're in America and we use / understand ounces. Nobody knows 490 grams is 17.3 oz without looking it up. Thank You.

    No me it's not acceptable a housing over 2k€ without IPD stops. And also the integrated IR is stupid since it's a point of failure.

    • @TheVinceZampella
      @TheVinceZampella 11 місяців тому

      Even if it fails, so what? My PVS-7s had integrated IR, never failed. Decades of use.

    • @alexlevinson8629

      The dtnvs is WELL over 3k with no IPD stops, $500 more for ipd stops, no lemo port, and oh yeah.. there plastic.
      I’ve not heard one issue of the lack of ipd stops on arnvg’s.
      To recap.. you get a lemo port, metal construction, better warranty, and easier interface, for… 2/3rd the cost of the plastic unit?
