Piers is on fire, lately. He has been conducting light-hearted yet insightful interviews with impressive guests. It's clear that he is making a conscious effort to keep his ego in check and to listen more to his guests. It's working. Nice to witness Piers stepping up his game.

His attitude completely changes when he has high-profile smart guests on, such as Neil DeGrasseTyson or Bill Maher, compared to when the guest is not well known (in which case, he goes to his usual - albeit fun to watch - fighting mode!)
I wonder, if the guest was not Tyson, would Morgan have given him the chance to explain why/how men&women can compete "together" before calling the whole idea preposterous!!!

I always wondered why the news media treated Twitter like it was the smartest and brightest the country had to offer doing hashtags and pushing trending topics. It's literally 90%+ teenagers and early 20 somethings deciding what the news media should focus on. It's quite insane.

You can't get teenagers under control, it's biological, so that they leave the community, and find a new community to prevent inbreeding.

My sons 38 and 42 are not political at all. They get fed up with the babble from both sides. They believe people should shut up and do something productive. Not stopping traffic with protest or ruining art. In fact not protesting but doing things. One spent years going downtown in a major city serving soup to the homeless and getting to know them, even in sub zero weather. He is now running 3 companies he has started up. The other is very successful in his own field and reaches out to people in need. So my advice to all, shut up and do something.
What a refreshing interview. We KNOW they don't see eye-to-eye politically, yet they can have a meaningful, pleasant, intelligent conversation. That's a lost art these days.

And would you believe it? Nobody was trying to talk over one another, nobody was insulting each other, nobody was trying to cater to their own audience… Just an honest sit-down question and answer with a bit of conversation in the middle. It is possible in 2023. Go figure.

Being a Brit I know many people here in the UK can't stand Piers Morgan but I've always liked him. I don't agree with all of his opinions but I respect someone willing to point out unfairness and sheer ridiculousness regardless of the consequences. I like Bill Maher for exactly the same reason.
When he said teenagers are deciding the line in the country, he is correct, because the kids are running the households now.
He can't blame that on conservatives.
I think this started when everyone got a trophy even if they didn't try and also when they learned the parents bowed when threatened with kids saying they would call DYFS if the parent disciplined them.

What is happening today that is remotely this bad? Nothing even compares to the horrors of our collective history. Would you prefer to live when black people had to drink from separate fountains and were lynched? How about puritan New England when innocent women were hanged for witchcraft? Are you Catholic? You’d better hope so if you lived during the reign of Mary I of England. She burned thousands of Protestants at the stake and there’s endless other examples proving that the world hasn’t gone mad, it’s always been mad. Any historian will tell you that the 21st century is likely the most peaceful, politically stable and productive period in recorded history. Warfare has declined, human rights and democracy are more widespread than ever, violent crime has decreased from record levels in the 90’s, and every legitimate metric clearly shows that the world is improving.
I suggest picking up a history book because the past was not better for anyone and it was no less crazy than the world today. Mankind has always been rife with problems and it will always be that way. What we’re dealing with today is relatively benign compared to the serious existential threats we’ve faced in the past. You really need to put things into perspective and stop buying into the apocalyptic fear mongering pushed by the media. We haven’t survived for 200,000 years only to be undone by wokeness and cancel culture.

I worked in Memory Care for seven years. Watching Biden gives me flashbacks. From the weird rambling stories, the unintelligible speech, forgetting what he is saying mid-sentence, and the "Alzheimer's Gait," it's pretty clear there is a problem cognitively.

For a guy as sharp as him, it’s insane to me that Bill can’t admit that Joe is seriously struggling.
because bill does no research or know anything other then what his people tell him. He didnt even know kids were transitioning until a guest had to point it out to him. Hes the guy that laughed and said Trump would never be the nominee, then said he would never be the president. Maher doesnt base his opinion on anything but wants and hopes. Nothing he states is based on knowledge or research. The guy literally stated how much Americans supported gay marriage in the same sentence where he admits 35 states had voted gay marriage down (including cali) before the court found a "constitutional Right" to force it through the courts and around the voters. Does 2/3 of the states voting against something give you the impression that the people support it, because to idiots like bill, it does.
If Joe chooses Diane Feinstein as his running mate then I'll vote for him. HaHa!

Listening to this interview reminds me why I should watch/listen to Bill Maher more often. I go thru phases, but what he says in this interview makes so much sense and is so thoughtful that I will return to regular watching. I won't agree with everything but I think I'll agree with at least 51%, which is a great goal.

Maher sometimes has a moment of clairity. Many other times he just uses CNN and MSNBC talking points. When it comes to an issue he generalizes and throws in his opinion but he never talks about the facts. He always walks that fine line and borders the left.

I think that's a common posture taken by people on the right who think he's illuminated when correctly thrashing wokeism, but as soon as he turns the heat on bs on the right, then you're turned off

I can agree with some of his output but I think most people would agree that believing American History is "horrible" and Biden is mentally fit to be president another 6 years is a no-go for lucid people. He is either toeing the party line or mentally deranged. I want to believe the first but there might be a senility diagnosis on the way for Bill.
The problem with Maher is that he sees the problem and continues to tell everyone to vote for the party causing all the problems.

Right ? I was never aligned with Piers Morgan’s thoughts, but I’m agreeing with him more and more lately, but I’ve also noticed his attitude and style has changed incredibly. He’s willing to listen and have a conversation which really is a rare occurrence these days !!

What I love about Bill is he's a real old school liberal. I'm Conservative and feel like I could have a great political discussion with him for hours sharing different points of view without being shouted down and cancelled. It's getting to the point now where the liberals and conservatives need to come together and drive the woke out of our society

The Georgia phone call was essentially Trump citing hundreds of thousands of sworn alleged instances of fraud, including sworn affidavits and stating the fact that he would have to find 11,000 votes in order for his legal case to be outcome-determinative…I’m not defending Trump, I don’t support him running again, but he didn’t call Brad Raffenserger and say “go find me 11,000 votes”
