We have the same row header grant but we got 2 combines we got an 8 row and a 6 row good job for starting 2 or 3 years ago I have loved you videos and that I have been since you 19 simulator camping and farming I got American like a week after it came out I am a big fan
I just wanted to let you know that my son (he’s 3) absolutely loves tractors so I put your videos on for him to watch and he loves your videos. Looks like I’m raising a little farmer 😂
Hey grant I love watching the videos I always look forward to seeing what’s new. Any chance we will be getting a video that kinda talks about future plans for the farm or new ideas you want to try in the coming years.
If you're not going the grain cart+semi route which is a bit hard with only 2 people a 3 set of wagons system works pretty well. 1 set of wagons at each end. Always full dump your combine at the road end and only dump enough grain to make a round at the far end. 3rd set should be in motion to or from the elevator/your bins. Depending on travel time for the wagon driver you may need to flip to full dumps on the far end after your first switch out of wagons on that end.
Hey grant. Great harvest. On my farm when there a wet or low spot that happened over the growing season sometimes we will just cut around it I know it sucks but there is a chance u get better yields
We had similar issues on our 9660 with the corner post display, check for corrosion on the wiring harness pin connections in compartment by the stairs. Pull the large computer board out and unplug the large 30/40 pin connector, look in the connector at the pins for a white corrosion, scrape off with a razor blade/brush/corrosion inhibitor.
Obviously I don’t know the farm’s finances, but to me it seems like more land would be the better buy rather than a bigger tractor + tile plow. As a farmer from Canada, my wisdom is always that land appreciates while equipment depreciates. You have some nice equipment that is certainly big enough for you to pick up more land for. Just my 2 cents
And I bet that tractor market is different around you, but up north by me, cheap articulating tractors are plentiful and would be better on a tile plow I would think
Hey grant up in Oklahoma where I live there’s a dealership that has like 7810s and sometimes there are some articulated tractors it’s called kc machinery
You’d be better off finding manure to spread on your light ground vs moving corn trash. We did that to our heavy and light ground and the difference was crazy
Like ponding in the low area........The hill or knob as you call it, probably run's low of moisture several times a summer, I doubt moving corn fodder to increase organic matter will do much. What brand of plow did you buy soil max, gold digger, ect
Grant, wouldn’t be more cost efficient to contract out the tiling work? Tile plough plus bigger horsepower tractor means big cost over small amount of acres that might be better spent elsewhere.
My first farm I had hired out. (I did labor tho). I want every farm that I own extremely well drained. In our county wetness/heavy soils is what kills yield more than anything else. By the time I'm done tiling out my 220 acres I own I will have paid for the tractor and tile plow in what I saved in custom install cost. It's a $500/hour job. It's arguably the highest paying job on the farm. Now for some big mains 10 inch+ I will still need to hire someone to install. Great question!
@@granthilbert5632 Here in Australia we would love to have that much water we need to drain it away with tile!!! I grew up on the NW Plains of New South Wales with deep rich black cracking clay soils and it is as flat as a table. Rainfall of about 24 inches in your measurement and paddocks/fields of up to 1000 acres. As a college student I chopped weeds and irrigated cotton in rows that were up to a mile long. When it does flood the water can take a long time to move overland but the cracks swallow most of it. Further west of us the water will move so slowly it takes weeks to drain away. Love the videos you and Spencer put out. Good luck with the tractor hunt. Cheers!
Ik verbio in your area sells off the what’s not used when they turn cornstalks into ethonal as organic matter for cheap that might be skmething to look into
did you know on some Deere combines the only way to clean the outside of the rear cab window is from inside the grain tank, the grain tank window flips up so you can access the cab window
I haul fuel for our local co-op almost 10 years now in northeast Nebraska and you can get close to a .25+ discount with transport loads versus a tank wagon
Just asking grant if you dont wanna say it ok but how are the corn prices right now say yoou had 40 acres how much you recon i could make cause we are deciding between corn or just doing bales this year even tho dad probably wont let me have a say anyway
If it was me i wouldn't get a 4wd i would get a front wheel assist so if ur 8110 goes down u still have a wagon tractor. And i would recommend looking into a like 800 bu grain cart. Pit the cart on the 8110 and put the other tractor with more hp on the wagons. But thats just me.
I love your vids. I'm only 12 but you've inspired me to be a farmer in a few years!
Good luck with your aspirations

A new big tractor sounds nice! Looking forward to see some videos of looking/buying! 👌🤠🥳
Definitely an insane story you have here Grant. Going from knowing the very basics to where you are now is absolutely amazing. Keep it up
I josh started a farm this year and I am 13 years old and I have made some money off of it and it is all because of you Grant keep up the good work
That sure is some beautiful pieces of equipment! Grant, keep up the hard work 💪🏻
Glad you got to help finish harvesting your last crop on they field.
Very nice, gentlemen, thank you! I appreciate your sharing this with us!
What a great story super motivational and great entertainment keep up the good work, hope to see a tillage video soon
Always look forward for you and Spencer videos never miss your farming adventures
This spring my parents are about to become 1st generation ranchers we just bought this land in August. Can’t wait to see what happens!

Videos always on spot!
287 for corn on corn is crazy! 1742Q is nuts.
I'm shocked that it only came in at 17% also! April 24th planted. October 10th harvested. This seems like a rare year tho for drydown.
Great video enjoy watching keep up the great work
Cool seeing finish cant wait to see what ya do next
Another new vid!!!! Watching football and harvest at the same time!
Man you know what would be super awesome to see you run? A couple of those old school tandem axle grain truck like in FS 😎
Glad to hear that you’re finished
Yay another video !! 👍

your yields this year are very good compared to some of the other farms i watch/know of
Those are just plot yield. Rest of field didn't do as good🫡
Great job and channel!
Great vlog
this looks so fun😮

Good Luck with corn harvest this year. Sure hope there is no breakdowns

Will check it out! As those are expensive to replace. Would be nice to fix instead of having to replace!

I Highly recommend the JD 8230 as it’s a great gravity wagon tractor but since it’s larger than the 8110 it could work as a tillage tractor
Love the vedieos grant it's awsome watching you progress in your farming keep it up any ideas what tractor your looking to buy

I am curious what is going to happen to your farm next year? I wish you all the luck finding your next tractor

The 8 acre pond looked like it could have maybe benefited from waiting about a month longer before harvesting it.
Love it

Hey Grant for your tile plow you should get a New Holland 9882 or a Case IH Steiger.
Have a good crop

How did Spencer mess up his knee. It’s great to see two your men helping feed American. Do you and your brother have other jobs.
Yeah, they make farming video games.
grant please get a S600 for your next combine and you can make spenser drive the 9560
Another great video just wondering are ye back on acreage this year ?

What’s up with the green corn plants
Are corn is reading 14.3 for moisture and 280 bushel to the acre
Is the farm that you sold is the farm with the shed in the middle of the feild
We had 13% moisture corn that yielded 300 have 330 in a lot of areas
How big is your combine hopper?
With that nice of a combined you only farm 80 of corn acres you should focus on buying more land
Is that Mr Chow running the combine
Could your tractor not pull all 3 carts? 🤔
Can you please do a shop tour and tool box tour
Best way to clean your windows😂
Just find a neighbor who needs to get rid of some manure and keep spreading it over your hill, I’d imagine it’d be quicker and easier
Hi grant if I was you looking for a big tractor to run your tile plow I’d consider like a John Deere 9400 or 9420 ish or a case Steiger stx
What do you mean by high management and low management corn?
I love grant
What do you call a show the new tractor?
👋😊
I think John Deere 9220 they are just over 300hp
we've started reaping 2 weeks ago
Get a 9520 or 9530 or something around that range.
You should get an 8960 for a a 4wd tractor.
Grant why don't you put a fuel tank in the bed of your truck
Like the comment if you love the video
Are you going to post a video about your new tractor
How does it feel to to finish harvest
Can't you hook up all three trailers
You should do a collab with the millennial farmer
you should get a 8640 john deere
Find some one with manure to spread on your hill knob.
Bigger tractor and maybe a graincart?!!?
You should get an 8960 John Deere
Driver side rear top blinker is out lol
Who sings that song at the end plz
Maybe some biochar could boost the content of the organic matter in less than 20 years 🤷♂️
I would buy a 8960 or a 8970 they are way cheaper than a 8r
Have you thought about buying a fuel trailer?
They don’t have the acres unless a company lets them demo one.
Spencer Dont feel bad brother the pic in my profile pic was taken 10 days after i had major Back Surgery 😂😂
The plot yields adjusted to 15%?
Yes
What? No safety chain?
