  • My friend Tony Lam (the apartment guy) showed me four apartments currently on the market in DaNang (and on the penisula). Here they are ranging from nice studio to high-end 2 bedroom 2 bath, and something between. This is a good sampling of what's here. Enjoy. Please subscribe.

Some great deals. Every apartment had something that made it attrractive: an elevator, bathtub, street entry, 2 beds. An Thuong is nice and close to the beach.

There are some very modest apartments around. Steel door, single room, dent in the floor with a drain and a spigot, supporting squat culture. tiny toilet space. maybe a toilet, maybe a ceramic squat hole. 500k vnd a month. suck wifi from the mansion next door... many people make 4m vnd a month. this a common and I would say it's the rule, not the exception. Xuanie owns a building with five rooms like this. There's a 500 liter water tank on the roof and water is gravity fed to the rooms via plastic piping. bathing is done with big plastic bowls and smaller ladles... using the 1.5 L boiler kettle in the kitchen to warm up the bathing water. I think many Viets wisely live way below their means. A lesson we should all learn.

I’ve NEVER seen anyone make videos of shopping for bed 🛏️ sheets. Are bed sheets included? Where would one go to buy bed sheets. Should we bring bedsheets from the USA, etc.

most apartments are fully furnished... you won't need anything besides some light shirts, shorts, and a bikini and flip flops. Oh, and a sun hat.

Did you look under the sinks in the bathroom or kitchen to see if there were cockroaches? A hotel in the same area where you were in Da Nang had cockroaches, I found them running and hiding under the fridge.

Chuck, can you adopt me? 😮😅. I want to move to Da Nang. I am worried about getting off the plane ✈️ and having NO Vietnam Dong and NO SIM card. How do I get a Grab or In drive. I hear taxis rip you off ? Then apartment hunting is another hectic fear of mine. What To do as soon as you arrive and get off the plane ✈️ in Da Nang. Can you make a video ?

Hello Chuck thank you so much for a great tour. the last one was very interesting. I will be in Danang in 2.5 weeks for 16 days. I would like to know if that app. is still available is it on a yearly rental and how far is the beach. Also can I get Tony's information because if everything working out I want to stay in Vietnam since I just retired.
    Thank you again

Fire hazardous from battery preventing me from buying ebike in VN. Recently, fire from bikes repair shop killed dozen people in Hanoi, and I wouldn't stay at any apartment that allowed ebike charging inside.
Due to the popularity of ebike, a lot of fire accidents from e-bike in VN that killed many people. More and more high-rise buildings won't allow e-bikes to park inside .
The e-bikes cheaply made in china sale at low prices for school students the reliability is big problem. You better off with gas engine bikes.

Have a look around the neighborhood you are interested in. Do you see empty lots, or skinny in-between-houses lots with fences? Those get built on. Also it's Vietnam. Honking and karaoke will drive you bonkers way before construction does. The key is the those little foamy ear plugs... They will save your sanity.
