Super pattern! No trout where I fish but I am gonna have to try it out on bluegill. Thanks for sharing!
i jig for pumpkinseeds off of my dock with my euro nymphing rig all the time, they like anything buggy. usually something with a soft hackle, or a brushed out hare's ear does the trick
Such a nice fly. Well done Curtis
Great pattern, I’ll have to give it a try.
Great looking Chronie!
Awesome
Cool tie for sure but that LAW style vise is the shiznite!!
That's a beautiful tie, tell me though, is that a minimalist gill pack for that? Also love the uv.
Very well done, Curtis. What are the scissors you're using?.
got me a pair of surgical scissors for 10 bucks. They cut that well. So do fiskars scissors. I'd love a pair of scissors made to last, seems even the most pricy scissors are made out of super cheap 410 stainless, or 440 stainless that is not properly hardened and tempered. Tempering to 45 HRC is NOT good enough! 60ish is a good place to be, but scissors that are that well done are very expensives. 300+ bucks and usually only in professional hair cutting scissors and just too blunt and big for fly tying.
Fiskars for the win
