    Colette, you are an inspiration to women. In 1973-1975 I took shop and absolutely loved it. I came close to tears watching the video about your school years - this is America, don't understand why you were denied. Most of the guys from those classes you couldn't take are probably not as handy, versatile or passionate about life as you are. I'm new to your channel and loving it - trying to catch up. I'll never be surprised at what you can do. Great greenhouse. Just continue being you honey. Peace to you Colette 🎈

    Hi Colette. I'm glad you still have this up. I just framed one up today! I wanted to have the ability to open up the ends in the summer and your method with the little clips is perfect for that. Hope you are still cranking out the veg. I have 900 plants in my living room here in Massachusetts and I just can't wait to get planting this week. Another day on end frames and greenhouse plastic and I'm up and running. Great tips! ✌ back at you! Best wishes.

    Nice job. Also refer to Texasprepper2, he has vids from about 2 years ago with detailed construction and also an ebook on Amazon for those who want a written instruction. These are really good ideas for a sturdy greenhouse. One more thing; those who live in the north may want to reinforce the roof with a ridge line for snow loads. The weight will collapse your greenhouse. Thanks again for your excellent ideas.

    I see you used tape to attach the panels but I just made one of these and didn't see no need to connect the cattle panels to each other.The staples work just fine on the bottom of the frame.
    These are nice green houses but where i messed up is my wife wanted the see thru plastic and i used just regular contractors heavy gauge. Ooops
    Nice job.

  • @furkids4ever
    @furkids4ever 5 років тому

    Do you think the regular heavy mil clear plastic is as good as buying the "greenhouse" plastic?

    Colette, where does one find these cattle panels in this size? I've looked online at Home Depot, Lowe's, and Tractor Supply Company. I love this video as I've always wanted to have a greenhouse but I'm actually watching here and thinking this might be a nice way (and not too costly) to cover half of my chicken run to keep them protected from the snow this winter.

      +L Amador The Width, of this greenhouse is about 7 1/2'. if it's any wider, the roof gets shorter and shorter, as the width gets wider.
      I bought these cattle panel at The Tractor Supply. They are 16' long by 50" high.
      I hope this is the information you were seeking.

    I might have missed it

    • @colettewhite
      @colettewhite  8 років тому

      +Mrs. Momma The width is about 7 1/2'. As the greenhouse gets wider, the roof, naturally, gets shorter and shorter.
      The width, at 7 1/2' allows the 'ceiling' to still befall enough for me to walk through, comfortably.
      I hope this helps.
