Zip ties to connect the panels works great!!!
Grateful to find you on you tube while searching for something else. I have been looking up greenhouses off and on. It's meant to be:) you are one smart lady! Thank you for being there for others and I will share! 🌱🤗♥️
How beautiful are you to teach and offer to help others to make their lives better? You get what you give so I imagine that that your life is full of joy.I really enjoy your videos and look forward to more...xoxo
sheri c I really do believe that we are here to help one another... sometimes that gets lost, in today's society. But, it has a ripple effect...
Great not see you again!
Best wishes!
My favorite cattle panel greenhouse video so far!
just found your channel and got a happy smile inside seeing your brilliant use of basic materials to achieve impressive results.thankyou.
Thanks for the inspiration, your gentle style, and innovative nature!
Colette, you are an inspiration to women. In 1973-1975 I took shop and absolutely loved it. I came close to tears watching the video about your school years - this is America, don't understand why you were denied. Most of the guys from those classes you couldn't take are probably not as handy, versatile or passionate about life as you are. I'm new to your channel and loving it - trying to catch up. I'll never be surprised at what you can do. Great greenhouse. Just continue being you honey. Peace to you Colette 🎈
Thank you so much for the video! You are an inspiration to all who view this, the world needs more people like you. Thank you from upstate NY (7 miles from Canada).
I like the over hang idea on the front
20 seconds in - "I like that door." Even better after that. Great video Colette. Thanks.
Husband loved this and he was writing as you was talking. He will be working on this in the early spring.
What an awesome offer! You, are one of the good guys. Really good ideas for ease of use & reduction of wind damage
By far..the best explanation I have seen. Thanks for posting.
Steveie McSchneive Surreal.
I really enjoyed your greenhouse tour. Loved the overhang - what a great idea. And unclipping different areas - genius. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for this! You've made the already easy Texas peppers' greenhouse, even easier! Love the super simple, yet effective door and windows!
Great video on your greenhouse build, I'm planning on this for my back yard. Thanks so much. Kim
Awesome looking greenhouse
Love your greenhouse! Great that you offer to help others. That's what it's all about, helping each other. At least I think so.
Great job Colette. Lots of good ideas and helpful offers for a basic, but effective structure. And you're sure right about getting out from under the big guys (corp. AND gov't.) Thanks for making and sharing your video.
Hi Colette. I'm glad you still have this up. I just framed one up today! I wanted to have the ability to open up the ends in the summer and your method with the little clips is perfect for that. Hope you are still cranking out the veg. I have 900 plants in my living room here in Massachusetts and I just can't wait to get planting this week. Another day on end frames and greenhouse plastic and I'm up and running. Great tips! ✌ back at you! Best wishes.
Great video and wonderful attitude...more power to you!
That's a clever way to build a very workable green house.

Well done. Great information. Thank you for taking the time to make the video
thank you sister . i'm making one .....good gob !! the old marine here.
Awesome video! I've been researching building a greenhouse for over a year now and I have settled on a design very similar to yours. I'm in a northern climate so I need an air blown double wall and a heating system but the basic design will be cattle panels. Thank you for the video, very impressed.
Very cool greenhouse thanks for sharing.
Great video!!! Thank you so very much for sharing such a well done and informative how-to on how you did this. Your green house looks fantastic. We plan to build one this spring and I'm adding your video to our list of resources. Thanks again!
Great job on the greenhouse and the video. Looks like a really nice setup that can be done fairly cheaply.
you did a very nice job. this has helped me decide on the type of diy gh i want to make. thank you!
Wow I never even thought of cattle pannels! Thanks I have a hand full laying around I was gonna use for trellising but this would be the easiest way to do a greenhouse!
Nice job. Thanks for the upload.
thanks for the tour! nice greenhouse!
Awesome!!! Thank you for sharing!
Nice presentation. Thanks for sharing.
Glad I stumbled across this!
You are awesome and very generous ...
Excellent! I will try and duplicate this for my wife. Thank you for the tour. Rob
Good job! Thanks for sharing.
thanks! i plan to try this. I was looking for an affordable easy build option and I think this will do the trick
Great greenhouse and the space is great. Loved and Subbed
Love it. Tfs!
I really love your video. Thank you.
I'm looking to build a greenhouse for our rabbits and I love the simplicity of yours. I'm thinking to add magnet strips to the entryway and extra plastic over the entrance that overhangs and roll it up in the front with some pvc attached at the bottom. We're upstate New York and our Winters are no joke. You have a new sub and fan, thank you..:)
Great job!!
thanks for the great info. wonderful ...
That is brilliant. A greenhouse that size here in the uk would cost about Mmmmm Approx £500.....That is fantastic little missey...super greenhouse
Awesomeness by the way!!!!!
Great ideas,, beautiful lady
good job ...i like this
you are a badass Colette!..thanks
Hey great video learned a lot
thanks so much Colette
Peace out from Georgia!
Awesome. Without the plastic this could be used as a grapevine trellis.
Nice job. Also refer to Texasprepper2, he has vids from about 2 years ago with detailed construction and also an ebook on Amazon for those who want a written instruction. These are really good ideas for a sturdy greenhouse. One more thing; those who live in the north may want to reinforce the roof with a ridge line for snow loads. The weight will collapse your greenhouse. Thanks again for your excellent ideas.
+garygw2 I built Texasprepper2 greenhouse 2 yrs ago .I live in OHIO and so far winter snows are no problem.Snow just slides off.30 degrees warmer than outside temps on the coldest winter days.Solid greenhouse design!
@@howarddozier8804 thanks so much for this detail! I'm wanting to make this greenhouse this fall and I was wondering about the snow load and temperature difference and I live in the same zone as northern Ohio!
You can make a double wide like the PVC pipe ones .
Only one video on UA-cam about the double wide. It looks great that's my plan.
I like yer Hodge podge ... good for you ...ima gunna do something like that ....thought about even coneccteing two together to make a wider green house 16 by 80 ...maybe
I really enjoyed your video, Nice greenhouse. How early do you start planting your seed?
Are there any updates on this cool greenhouse???? Thanks so kuch for sharing. I really hope you're doing well and will make more videos.
I see you used tape to attach the panels but I just made one of these and didn't see no need to connect the cattle panels to each other. The staples work just fine on the bottom of the frame.
These are nice green houses but where i messed up is my wife wanted the see thru plastic and i used just regular contractors heavy gauge. Ooops
Nice job.
Do you think the regular heavy mil clear plastic is as good as buying the "greenhouse" plastic?
I have 3 hoops up that were great for growing cuc's / cantalope / squash & honey dew melons. We cut the cross bar and pushed into the ground for this. At 5'8 I duck a smidge ... 😎
This looks wonderful! I want to build one in spring. I have only concern... we have a lot of squirrels here, do you think those little creators may get inside through the plastic? This year was my first and they ate all my veggies...:/
Hiii, i just saw your vid & im trying to convert my dog kennel into a green house.. Thoughts, hog panel roof and cover the sides.. What cha think?
how's the plastic holding up? I read where ya need to use greenhouse plastic cuz the other kind will disintegrate in no time.
Can anyone provide a list of material needed to built the cattle panel greenhouse?
May I recommend Hog Rings or C Rings to tie the panels together? They seem to be much sturdier and easy to put on!
J Alien Coldwater zip ties
Jan Coldwater What website carry Hog ring or C ring?
👏👍!
Colette, where does one find these cattle panels in this size? I've looked online at Home Depot, Lowe's, and Tractor Supply Company. I love this video as I've always wanted to have a greenhouse but I'm actually watching here and thinking this might be a nice way (and not too costly) to cover half of my chicken run to keep them protected from the snow this winter.
+L Amador The Width, of this greenhouse is about 7 1/2'. if it's any wider, the roof gets shorter and shorter, as the width gets wider.
I bought these cattle panel at The Tractor Supply. They are 16' long by 50" high.
I hope this is the information you were seeking.
Best wishes, to you!
+Leslie Amador go to any place that sells things to farmers. Up north it's fleet farm and tractor supply
Tractor supply has them
Leslie A Exactly my points, I'm in MN.
Молодец! Классно вышло? Привет из Москвы)
How do you keep it warm inside during the winter or do you? I am about to build one similar to what you have and I live in North Alabama. I want to be able to grow a potted citrus tree in the winter if possible.
+Charles Hollowell I should have paid attention at the end! You answered my question! :-)
How far are you from Gainesville, GA.?
my green house is 16 long 10 wide, but, i added 4 ft. more to each cattle pantlins. an use rebar ties to tie each pan. togather make sure to tie to the end side, not the out side, this pervent cuten your plastic.i guess you can tell, that i can,t spell that good but i try, if i can help any just drop a line or two.
+Colette White what are the dimensions of the frame? 16x ?
I might have missed it
+Mrs. Momma The width is about 7 1/2'. As the greenhouse gets wider, the roof, naturally, gets shorter and shorter.
The width, at 7 1/2' allows the 'ceiling' to still befall enough for me to walk through, comfortably.
I hope this helps.
Good Luck!
How did you connect the door framing to the wire?
Tom Rowan Hey, I used fencing staples to attach the cattle panels to the framing.
How did you transport the panels?
stack the panes upright standing on long edge tie them together on one end slip the rope thought the other end and pull let the tension off the same way GO SLOW!!! the guy at lowes been there 15 years never seen anyone do it this way he was amazed !!!
Glenn Murray did you use a pickup ur flatbed
gary24752 Surreal exactly tho!
@@gary24752 we used a hay wagon ...
what gaug is the cattle panel fencing wire?
The Tractor Supply Company website says,
16'×50", 4 gauge welded wire Cattle Panels.
@@reddog9884 thank you
You sound like the kind of Lady whom I'd love to collaborate with on gardening !!! I just subbed and liked and hit the bell on your channel, I hope you can do the same for me... My name is Irene, I'm 65 yrs old and I'm creating a permaculture food forest garden. I'm ready for my greenhouse and ran across your channel !!!
cold grow alot of weed in there
Hey....good morning! Where are you in Ga? Do you have an email;? I live in Ga ,too! Thank you for your video!
make a good home less cheap house I made two out of hog wire covered with chicken wire
Love your greenhouse! Great that you offer to help others. That's what it's all about, helping each other. At least I think so.
