The government, navy, nobles were all getting slaughtered after reaching Wano and it’s not easy to go there in the first place. Even for centuries they didn’t go there because Ryuma, a black blade user, was putting the fear of god into them. But the Gorosei so far have been incompetent so they might not know. Great video. The only point I’d disagree with is Luffy. I think Luffy respects Zoro’s dream enough as to understand that Mihawk must be stronger than Shanks. When we see that panel of Mihawk in Baratie telling Zoro that he should use his ambition to surpass him and that no matter what time passes he will remain at the top (of swordsmanship) there is a little panel showing Luffy’s face reacting to all that. He looks like he’s thoroughly listening to Mihawk’s speech and understanding Zoro’s dream in that regard. That’s why I think he’d pick Mihawk. Secondly when Zoro talks to Luffy about his dream Luffy says he doesn’t want a non WSS as a right hand man showing more that he respects Zoro’s dream. Also when Luffy says he wants to surpass Shanks as a pirate he specifically names his crew and his ship. So yeah obviously Luffy wants to surpass Shanks in terms of individual strength but I think Oda puts more emphasis in terms of his collective crew and such. So for Luffy it would ultimately come down to whoever Zoro wants to defeat.

It is hard sometimes to determine whether absolute power is important to Luffy or if his motivations for surpassing Shanks go beyond just legacy as a pirate. But one thing is for sure he respects Mihawk's strength undoubtedly. So there's definitely no reason for him to not choose him all things considered, including what you laid out. I’ve recently stumbled on that Kaido thinks Shanks is stronger than Mihawk argument which is not bad (even though i strongly disagree) and when you said WB would also pick Shanks that made me think that it’s pretty weird that the ones with a “World Strongest” title wouldn’t respect Mihawk compared to Shanks. Also interesting considering that Kaido respected (WSM/WSP) Whitebeard but that’s based on them being in the same crew. I really liked that video as a concept btw! Really showed that One Piece characters don’t all share the same opinions since they don’t have an “omniscient narrator” as opposed to the readers 👍🏾
For WB I think it's 50/50 to be honest. Mainly because they have never encountered eachother and it seemed like there was a curiosity on both sides for their ability. But for Kaido I think he definitely may be the type to doubt anyone but himself is stronger then Shanks despite a title. I used to think it was for sure that people would respect the title until I read Novel Zoro and had more discussions with people I realized that it may honestly be the case some people in the one piece world have their own opinion just out of bias based on their experiences and circumstances. It's one reason I think Mihawk wasn't up there in the silhouettes in chapter 1001 because he hasn't had the chance to experience his ability and it's one of those "show me, don't tell me" kind of things

To be honest it’s really unfair on Mihawks end. Oda has kept him secretly wrapped up for EOS this entire time. We still know nothing about his past at all. Judging from Mihawks demeanor I’d say he’s probably a celestial dragon/Gods knight descendent of some sort. For the World government to recognize him and respect him to the degree they do I think there’s more to the story. Power wise I think Mihawk is stronger just based off of Oda saving the strongest for last. As the story progresses the opponents get stronger and stronger, for us to see all the warlords and yonkos fight all out with the exception to Shanks and Mihawk is very telling. Also we have see shanks now demonstrating his power of recently yet Oda still has Mihawk side lined for me it just makes sense narratively speaking.
The only one who could give us a true honest answer is the one above all the god of the verse BUGGY 😂 with one as a crew mate & another former crew mate , he understands both of there capabilities the most

I’ve recently stumbled on that Kaido thinks Shanks is stronger than Mihawk argument which is not bad (even though i strongly disagree) and when you said WB would also pick Shanks that made me think that it’s pretty weird that the ones with a “World Strongest” title wouldn’t respect Mihawk compared to Shanks.
Also interesting considering that Kaido respected (WSM/WSP) Whitebeard but that’s based on them being in the same crew.
I really liked that video as a concept btw! Really showed that One Piece characters don’t all share the same opinions since they don’t have an “omniscient narrator” as opposed to the readers 👍🏾
For WB I think it's 50/50 to be honest. Mainly because they have never encountered eachother and it seemed like there was a curiosity on both sides for their ability. But for Kaido I think he definitely may be the type to doubt anyone but himself is stronger then Shanks despite a title. I used to think it was for sure that people would respect the title until I read Novel Zoro and had more discussions with people I realized that it may honestly be the case some people in the one piece world have their own opinion just out of bias based on their experiences and circumstances. It's one reason I think Mihawk wasn't up there in the silhouettes in chapter 1001 because he hasn't had the chance to experience his ability and it's one of those "show me, don't tell me" kind of things

To be honest it’s really unfair on Mihawks end. Oda has kept him secretly wrapped up for EOS this entire time. We still know nothing about his past at all. Judging from Mihawks demeanor I’d say he’s probably a celestial dragon/Gods knight descendent of some sort. For the World government to recognize him and respect him to the degree they do I think there’s more to the story. Power wise I think Mihawk is stronger just based off of Oda saving the strongest for last. As the story progresses the opponents get stronger and stronger, for us to see all the warlords and yonkos fight all out with the exception to Shanks and Mihawk is very telling. Also we have see shanks now demonstrating his power of recently yet Oda still has Mihawk side lined for me it just makes sense narratively speaking.
