...I´d have to watch his show to keep track and there isn´t enough money in the world to make me do that.
I can’t stand Kyles content, he always acts like he’s so unbiased, but I’ve noticed with a lot of his content, he leaves out or obfuscates a lot of details. And I think it’s because he knows his community won’t look it up.
The really revolting part is Kyle is actually slightly better than a lot of the others in the lefty sphere. He's still terrible, but he's not as bad as Vaush or Seder.
What's really gives me hope is that Kyle's community is cooking him for this take.

The Houthis claim to be the legitimate government of Yeman, so their supporters/sympathizers would do the same.

The argument is usually that since it wasn't enough support for an actual war declaration then it doesnt really count and is still illegal.

Congress never officially declared war on Libya, Tripoli nor the Barbary Pirates in 1802. American history didnt start in 1945, it didnt get wiped clean in 1918 or 1865. War and America goes back to the beginning and isnt it just amazing to have such a parallel to look back upon as President Jefferson commanding ships (without a declaration of war by Congress) to defeat pirates.

I have zero problem with attacking groups that attack American targets. Still, I would rather the president have congressional permission to initiate any military actions. Saying, "presidents get away with it all the time since the way powers act, so who cares" is just encouraging abuse of power. And under this system, all any president would have to do to get a war started would be to antagonize their target by waving military assets in the range of their weapons until they attack. One might even argue that this is more or less what happened with the lusitania, the Maine, and the gulf of Tonkin. And considering the executive branch controls the intelligence agencies, they become the authority who gets to decide who attacked them. This is how we end up fighting Iraq after 9/11, when most of those guys were Saudi
The president can deploy the navy without prior approval from congress, specifically over this issue it’s what the us navy was founded for.
@gamingforever9121 the groups bombing Yemen include the airforce not just the Navy. Furthermore, you're talking about rules for a time when he navy was just soldiers on boats, that would occasionally use ground forces to raid pirate bases on coasts and islands. Now the navy is a lot different

And second, I mean, with the war powers act, and some others, I think the president doesn't need any approval. I'm more arguing about the way the system ought to be, and modernizing checks and balances to preserve the original spirit of the constitution
