Returning to Worthy Farm after playing the John Peel Stage in 2013, Kodaline bring their soaring, emotive, guitar rock to The Other Stage for this year’s festival.
The Dublin based quartet were nominated for the BBC’s Sound Of poll in 2013 and after releasing their debut EP, The Kodaline EP, in September 2012 became BBC Radio 1 DJ Fearne Cotton’s Record of the Week with the song All I Want.The band released their first studio album In a Perfect World last year.
Kodaline’s sound lends itself perfectly to a festival vibe so come along and singalong to the band’s melancholic stadium anthems.

For some reason I love when crowds sing. 90% of the crowd could be horrible singers, but for some reason, crowds joining together to sing, especially powerful and beautiful songs like this always come out good.

I had never heard this song until December 23rd. It was about 3 a.m., my wife had finally fallen asleep, as we had been agonizing over what to do about our best friend of 14 years. I had earbuds in listening to UA-cam, Jobe's head was on my lap, he could no longer lift his head or even wag his tail as cancer had ravaged his body. He looked at me and let out a whimper, and it was at that point that I knew I could not take him in to the vet, and decided that after all the years that he had protected our family, and had been by my side, literally watching out for me through all the years of my crazy adventures, that I owed him to not go through the indignity to carry him into a clinic to die on a cold table.
I decided that I would be the one to take his body, to take his pain away. I administered medication that put him into a deep sleep and eventually respiratory failure and as my sweet sweet Jobe's breathing was slowing down, this song randomly came on UA-cam, and I ended up watching it while I held him as he took his last breath.Tears fell out of my eyes, and as I listened to this song and the lyrics, I couldn't help but wonder if the look in his face was "How dare you do this to me", or "Thank you so much for taking my pain away."
I was so touched and torn by the lyrics as I sat on my bedroom floor sobbing, holding my friend.
I listen to this song every day in memory of him, it's on my playlist at my clinic, and even though it brings tears to my eyes almost everytime I hear it, it's simply one of the most moving songs and performances I have ever seen, and I am so thankful that I was introduced to Kodaline at one of the most vulnerable times of my life.
I just re-watched this video 3 times, often rewinding it (antiquated term) because of how impassioned the band and the crowd is, and how it reminds me one of the most perfect souls that graced our lives. I apologize to anyone that accidentally read through this rambling nonsense. It's been almost six months and I have not spoken about what I did to anyone, but I am pretty sure that there are fans that love this song and understand what pure love and loss feels like.
Holy s***, I can't believe I shared that. Sing loudly and passionately my friends, and may we one day hold the ones we have lost, again.

My friend performed this song some days back. She dint tell me anything but I felt like she sang this for her mother who left her when she was only 2 and she's not allowed to talk or ask anything about her mother . There was so much pain in her eyes while she sang and I cried 😢

What still amazes me is the feeling of happiness that a band or performer must feel when they hear a crowd sing along or sing back every single lyric of their songs. I always come back to this video because of that moment when the crowd sings back the chorus to them. it must be such an amazing feeling. I know if I were a performer, and I heard that many people singing a song I wrote and a song that means a lot to me, I'd probably start crying. it's so magical. I love it.

Crying does help... it really does. I am a 33 yr old man, father to a 3 yr old daughter, and blessed to be with a wife who suppor me in the toughest of days, and I cry somedays. Life is tough, and we tend to bottle things inside, but taking a moment to cry lightness the burden.

I will never stop coming back to this video. This is my absolute favourite live performance of 'All I Want' that they've ever done. There's something about the fact that the crowd is standing in the pouring rain singing along that makes this video even better. Plus I will never get tired of hearing this song.

As A Nepali guy staying in Japan, i feel like i can relate to this song. I'm an average looking guy and met lots of people here at Japan (mostly women) and they treat me differently because I don't have a fair skin or am WHITE Or European. I give my all to make sure the dates go well and often it does, but somehow they leave me or block me after that one meeting. All I'm saying is that you shouldn't judge a book by its covers.

I had the privilege of seeing these guys perform SO many times when they used to set up on Grafton St in Dublin, they were amazing every time so I'm not surprised to hear them sound so good Live.

My heart breaks a to million pieces on everytime I listen to this song. How can something be so beautiful and so painful at the same time?
reminds me of the day that I had to give my sweet dog Polmo to a shelter after 6 years... It broke my heart, but sometimes life is not fair and we pass through events we can't control. I remember him looking at me driving away with tears streaming down my face. Polmo, I never stopped loving you.

What an emotionally charging performance, almost brought me to tears.
I don’t know why, but these moments of them just playing music, no lyrics @4:22 are just magical and send chills through my spine. Reminds me so much of when Linkin Park had their moments, of just jamming their hearts out.

Music and art has always been a part of my life, and when my daughter in law was born sharing that taste in music with me and my brother, I couldn't help but feel the luckiest one alive. She was the best thing that ever happened to me in all my 26 years of life. She was beautiful, kind, gentle, sweet and so fun to watch her blast out Rocky IV songs and bang her little head. In such a terrible year like this, where I was so scared to lose my mom, my older parents... god unfortunately decided that our fate was to go through the loss of my perfect, lovingly 2 year old daughter in law, niece and the love of my life. I'll never forget this year, I've been in deep pain for like 4 months now and I don't think it will ever get easier. She was a little angel on earth and even though I know this world did not deserve her, it's just too hard to think that we had her here, for so little... and now I'll never hug her again, or be with her, or teach her to play guitar, to play Kodaline, Beatles or whatever I'd planned to do with her.
