One of my all-time favourite songs... never thought I could find a cover that's just as amazing as the original, but they nailed it! Poignant lyrics, great singing, amazing cause, terrific crowd. Definitely teary now
Molly this is a Beutiful act from Coldplay and Ariana Grande but never never never will be as amazing as Noel Gallagher singing it never ever and you can say "It's my point of view" but this time you'll be wrong it just don't maybe you just got a little emotional because of the reason they're singingt it. They are not my all time favorite but Jack, you're very right. I think sometimes they catch hell for that and I guess that's a bit of a shame. Rock is so much more powerful live than the karaoke that some of the more pop-centric acts did for this concert. It just feels a lot more real when it is.
I love that they played this song faithfully to the original so that everyone could sing along. They didn't try to make the song about them and try to change it up. Even the guitar solo was exactly the same as the original.
Heard it in the Mander Centre in Wolverhampton on a break from College Started to sing it no one else did probably because the PA was awful. Five Years Tommorrow since it happened
Tristan Flores Liam Gallagher is a Legend. Noel Gallagher is a Legend. Damon Albarn is a Legend. Robbie Williams is a Legend. But Chris Martin...noo is a Legend.
They put the lyrics on the screen because they knew there were going to be a lot of younger people who wouldn't know the words. That's such a great idea, they made this moment far better because of that.

Step outside, the summertime's in bloom
Stand up beside the fireplace
Take that look from off your face
Cause you ain't ever gonna burn my heart out

You realize how good a singer is when they cover other great singers and nail it!
Natalie Kenefick gayyy
Johnny is just so calm and humble in every performance, I love Will, Guy, Chirs and Johnny equally the same. They together make Coldplay, there'll be no magic if anyone of them is not playing. My love Coldplay #VivaColdplay #StayStrongAriana #LoveFromIndia
What a moment... making this happen is one more thing i admire Chris Martin for.
this whole concert still makes me bawl my eyes out. seeing so many people come together to celebrate love and those who died in this tragedy is so beautiful. we‘re united. love will always be bigger than hate.
Me 2
Every time, every song. Especially when Miley is involved too. She gave her friend so much support on what must have been the second hardest day of her life.
Chris treat everyone like a soulmate. with all his heart when he’s singing. So kind
Can you tell us ancestors why do millennials are spending all the time on the computer selling leads to each other causing viruses like to Twitter virus you guys are gonna have to start knocking on doors are making phone calls cause the computer is full of viruses the old people with the money is not gonna buy anything from you on the computer. We’ve had it with the computer is sick disgusting computer, a Bill Gates.
Thank you that's all i want to say.
when you get goosebumps over goosebumps.
Edgar Chacon Flores exacly bro
or when the goosebumps gets goosebumps
bless Chris' voice, seriously
I like how Chris and Coldplay aren’t all about their own music but can cover another classic song which is so right for the occasion. Humility.
I remember watching this clip during COVID and wondering when people can gather in crowds to appreciate fine music again. Glad coldplay is back to doing worldwide tours.
Watched this live , I had to watch it again. True human spirit right here .
all Coldplay have ever done is spread love and positivity
It makes me question the people who REALLY hate on them all the time.
Jack and made great music😅
They are not my all time favorite but Jack, you're very right. I think sometimes they catch hell for that and I guess that's a bit of a shame. Rock is so much more powerful live than the karaoke that some of the more pop-centric acts did for this concert. It just feels a lot more real when it is.
Jack THERE BRILLIANT!!!
Jack yeah I agree and that is why they are one of my favourite bands.
It's a pleasure to listen Chris Martin singing.
I m just in love with Chris's voice and the teary eyed girl in the crowd. 🤗
I love that they played this song faithfully to the original so that everyone could sing along. They didn't try to make the song about them and try to change it up. Even the guitar solo was exactly the same as the original.
diulikadikaday cos when you cover a song you use the solo from the original
Thank you, Chris Martin. You have made my years as an adolescense an absolute treat, i freaking love you and the rest of the band.
Gave me chills watching this live, what a night all performances where amazing God bless Manchester and London! We are all together one love
Bawzell I live in England. 💔 so it broke my heart when this happened to Manchester and London.
Yeah this hit me right in the feels...
The guitar is so clean... Chris Martin is something else.❤
Feb 2022 and its still giving me goosebumps everytime i hear this song live. Oasis songs ages like wine...
It was incredible live
Heard it in the Mander Centre in Wolverhampton on a break from College Started to sing it no one else did probably because the PA was awful. Five Years Tommorrow since it happened
feb 2023 and its still amazing!
get colombia on
July 2023 and it still give us goosebumps
Jonny Buckland the silent legend.
I haven't red such an accurate comment for a long time. Thanks :D :)
Affirmative :D
With Chris 😂
Hell yeah !
Absolutely
Chris Martin, man. You're a legend.
Tristan Flores Liam Gallagher is a Legend. Noel Gallagher is a Legend. Damon Albarn is a Legend. Robbie Williams is a Legend. But Chris Martin...noo is a Legend.
Really. lmao
Like it or not, he is lol
Ikr ♥
would like to have it on Spotify. Best version ever of this wonderful song
I love Chris Martin's voice for this song
They put the lyrics on the screen because they knew there were going to be a lot of younger people who wouldn't know the words. That's such a great idea, they made this moment far better because of that.
Neoshenlong Archivo 2008 - 2011 wrong ... every kid in Manchester knows that song it's from here and we are brought up listening to it.
Mate everyfuckingone knows the words to this one
I know, the cheek! Happy Mondays classic!
You'd have to live in a cave to not know the words.
every one know the words even if you don't like oasis
Coldplay is like a warm breeze in our souls
right on
Dora T. warmplay
GiddyGabbyZak lol yes!
***** Ikr, the "warm breeze" is just their presence up there
100% with you on that
She came back. Back to our beautiful City despite the horrors she had witnessed. Life long respect for Ariana Grande.
I'm all that time she never learned to sing though

The National Anthem of Manchester.
The chorus is pure genius.
Heard it sung by a dart public in Manchester. Thrilling.
Don't you mean man city?
@@furrycheetah No, I don't usely mistake dart for soccer.
@@furrycheetahwell no, cause it’s not about Man City , it was used after the bombings and is an anthem sung in any capacity, so it’s the anthem of Manchester, not Man City 🤢

I sat in my living room watching this live on TV, beer in hand, lump in throat and tears welling in my eyes. And here I am, four and a half years later, exactly the same. Live forever x
2:18 broke my heart a little. This is absolutely beautiful!!!!!! Thanks Chris. Great cover.
It's my daughter xx ❤️
Donna Ford her face summed up the whole emotion of the event. Lovely. Hope she is ok!
HighFlyingBird82 Of course she's OK. After witnessing that, she's far more than just OK.
Peace.
you have a beautiful and strong daughter 💜
That'll be me the day I finally enjoy a Coldplay's concert.... :_(
One Love Manchester was one of the most amazing and emotional things I've ever witnessed in my life. All the artists put their heart and soul into their performances. The 22nd May will stick with me for the rest of my life, the things I seen and heard. Love always wins. R.I.P to those beautiful angels who sadly lost their lives 💔 this world and its people can be so evil.
I can't watch a single performance from this night without crying. every single second was amazing!!!!
So beyond nervous and anxious to be going to see Coldplay in 6 days, They will be beyond fantastic but since 22nd crowds make me break down!
Watching again after 4 yrs+ and still emotional...chris sung it so beautifully..
Certain moments in music that just, are special beyond anything. Queen at live aid was one, this might just be another.
Chris sang it really good to be fair. Coldplay were my fave performers tonight but justin beiber, ariana and liam all did good too.
Usually have no time for Bieber, but thought he actually did good last night, thought he sounded great and sang the rite songs for the occasion, fair play to the lad.
now that's a cover that did the original justice. Full of hearts and passion... Coldplay showed these teenage idols how to capture the audience!

Ariana: I don't know the lyrics
Crew: The lyrics is behind you
Chris: Dont look back

They should be applauding you sir
mr crab...money..
Looking at this clip 5 years alter and i'm still mesmerised by Chris's voice.
I'd even dare to say that this is better in my opinion than original.
We won't bow down to fear,we won't let it eat away at our hearts.Well keep on singing and dancing. We ll keep on fighting for love and refuse to be silent.Thats what these people are singing for.
The girl crying at 2:20 melt my heart !
She's look like chloe grace moretz
Sophie Ford 😍
2:18 is the face of courage, pure emotion, determination and the power of knowing that if we unite and FIGHT, we can defeat the terrorists once and for all.
Isaac very well said xx
face of fear and fragility
Ehhhhh false. We're all gonna die.
except for the fact that music concerts do not kill terrorists, and only fire can fight fire.
Funny... This was before the pandemic and yet it feels like yesterday
I remember sitting on the sofa with dad watching this concert and having tears in our eyes.
Still makes me cry to this day
The blonde girl with colour spots on her face is just about to break into tears...... what a beautiful shot

yeah thats what i thought
Slip inside the eye of your mind
Don't you know you might find
A better place to play
You said that you'd never been
But all the things that you've seen
Will slowly fade away
So I start a revolution from my bed
'Cause you said the brains I had went to my head
Step outside, summertime's in bloom
Stand up beside the fireplace
Take that look from off your face
You ain't ever gonna burn my heart out
And so, Sally can wait
She knows it's too late as we're walking on by
Her soul slides away
"But don't look back in anger"
I heard you say
Take me to the place where you go
Where nobody knows if it's night or day
Please don't put your life in the hands
Of a Rock 'n' Roll band
Who'll throw it all away
I'm gonna start a revolution from my bed
'Cause you said the brains I had went to my head
Step outside 'cause summertime's in bloom
Stand up beside the fireplace, take that look from off your face
'Cause you ain't ever gonna burn my heart out
And so, Sally can wait
She knows it's too late as she's walking on by
My soul slides away
"But don't look back in anger," I heard you say
So, Sally can wait
She knows it's too late as we're walking on by
Her soul slides away
"But don't look back in anger," I heard you say
So, Sally can wait
She knows it's too late as she's walking on by
My soul slides away
"But don't look back in anger, don't look back in anger"
I heard you say, "at least not today"

Everyone to their own but are you nuts?
Oasis, are probably the top rated rock band in the UK and have been for about the last 20 years!
They've had about 5 or 6 bolts on international classic hits!
Even with that pedigree my favorite song by Noel Gallagher was written after he left Oasis and the band broke up.

Maybe this will give you some idea of why they are so highly regarded in the UK if not WORLD!

I don't think Arianna knew the words to this song!
She sings a little though, if you listen to the first chorus at 1:27 you can hear a bit ”So Sally can wait” :)
