Might not have the comfort for the job but any boat can do what you ask. A trimaran is fast enough to need a smaller weather window and if you choose wisely you could go anywhere.

Hello, I plan to sail around the world in 7 years, and am considering purchasing this same boat. Do you find this boat capable of navigating rough waters and distance around the globe?

Lucky to find relatively flat water in 20 knots of wind so that trimaran can plane at 17 knots.... in rougher seas.... 6 foot or so, they'd have to be going about 6 knots or they'd be plunging the bow and rocking all over.
