Beautiful, thanks also to Clubracer for following Triki all the way to the finish. Not a surprise that I wasn't able to keep up with my F9a, a few knots short I guess.

@@steveschulzelectronicswiz To end confusion: This is Bart Gabriel's 1996 F31 Triki, sailed by him in Schelde river from sea to Antwerp race, raw film edited by Robert de Vries (C31UC Brainwave owner) so all credits go to Bart and rib film crew exept te edit.

Another F9a owner here, I just can’t justify the cost of any of the new tri’s when these are arguably better.... I’m biased ;)

Wow nice sailing. I think a F31 is my next boat. I’m only surprised mr beefy boy sailor in blue didn’t go sit up on the high side to flatten the boat. :-)

I’m currently building a Scarab 650 in foam and glass composite. Can’t wait to launch!
Ok enough dreamin’. I better get back to the dust.

31’ seems to be the magic number for size: in the right conditions and if kept trimmed 25 knots is very doable, I was told mine saw 30 knots for a few minutes when trying to take a reef too late... comfortable cruising 15 knots, a bit more depending. A friend has a stripped down F9a, mostly for racing, his does much the same: I don’t carry much more weight, one trick is to keep the rear empty, too many think it’s a good place to store junk but these boats hate it.

Great video, great music... I want a Corsair, but I need to learn more about them; maintenance, safety, etc. Message me if you have advice please. I'm in Tampa Bay area, Florida.

I grew up sailing them and love how fun they are. Maintenance is good with being able to trailer it, outboard motor, everything accessible - very simple design. Safety is also good as its very stable, maneuverable and easy to single hand as well - only issue we ever ran into is forgetting to put down the dagger board and were crabbing! Slowing down and running through pre-flight checks is always important :) I love them and cant wait to get back into them! sailing flat and fast is thrilling! its like driving a sportscar.
