He is 10 years old but our doctor told us that he needs to use this as quick as possible. But I read in some documents that boys upper palate is groving till 12 so its better to make this after that age. I be so pleased if someone replies my question.
Expansion has to be done as fast as possible. The age limit is not set in stone. Major studies report 10 years old as the age for fusing of the two maxillary halves.

They are meant to touch the teeth once expanded enough
