As someone who has fully only watched the Superman Animated series of the late 90s to early 2000s, I actually like him. He especially peaked in the Cadmus arc of Justice League Unlimited. I haven't really watched any of the live action films or series of Superman. So while I do like him, I do like Batman more than him.
It’s crazy how even Superman, the pinnacle of superhero genre, has to even bow down to the bat. They outright refuse to move on to anyone else, and his fans don’t help much either with how stubborn they are in giving non Bat content the respect it deserves, or just not wanting anything else.
I like how he totally predicted the Darkseid thing. As soon as the Snyder cut came out, everyone started claiming that they ripped Darkseid off of Thanos even tho the original Justice league movie was supposed to come out in 2017 lmao.
Good lord, this character. I used to be a Batman fan but I have become so sick of him as of late and his fanboys. They never and I mean NEVER shut up about him and it's getting so nerve wracking. And what pisses me off is that he's liked because of his screen portrayals and not so much his comics, which aren't selling well BTW. Batman is a good example of how on screen media is more important to normies than comics and that just writes a wrong picture to me. And what really grinds my gears is that Batman fanboys refuse to admit this. Ever wondered why Superman is so hated in recent times? It has nothing to do with him being "boring", it has more to do with the fact that Superman hasn't a had piece of media normies liked in a very long time. Why do you think Superman when it comes to public reception has never escaped Chrisopher Reeve? This is why. Why does the Joker get more love than Baron Helmut Zemo despite Zemo being a better and more fleshed out character? Screen portrayals. It rubs me off the wrong way that COMIC BOOK characters' most irrelevant aspect is the comics they are based on.
The issue with DC now producing movies about blue Beatle or black Adam which features doctor fate and hawkman is it’s too little too late. Superhero fatigue has arguably reached a point where casual audiences don’t even really care about new marvel movies. Dc tailored their brand to black Adam for a year and did their last fortnite collaboration for the film, all because it starred Dwayne Johnson. But the best film could achieve is be considered a second rate morbius by casuals.
Batman is the Comicbook equivalent of Call of Duty: An overused, overabused and overrated product that proves the incompetence of his producers to do new or different IPs.
They're similar in the fact that they are both good (Call of Duty was consistently good from about 2004 to 2013) but their over-saturation has caused many to burned out by them. Though more people are actively burned out by CoD because unlike Batman who still gets good live-action and animated films and has multiple good games and comic runs, CoD has inconsistent releases, for every Modern Warfare 2019 we get a Vanguard now days. Not to mention that yearly releases and being a bit too popular and influential on other franchises in the genre like Medal of Honor and James Bond 007 has caused the franchise to be hated my many people who haven't even touched a Call of Duty game.

Your Shazam prediction was totally wrong. Only maybe Aquaman has gotten popular, and even he was known to the mainstream more than say Captain America ever was.
One Punch feels like a parody of heroes like superman to me, which is maybe why people are okay with Saitama and not Superman.
