- Heyyyy friends!
I'm back from traveling, and I'm so excited to share today's video with you because I'll be showing you how I installed my new cattle panel trellis, on which I'll be growing Sugar Baby Watermelon, Cucumbers, and a couple of varieties of Pole Beans.
As usual, this was a little more time-consuming than I thought, but I did manage to get it all done within the day before I had to leave for my trip to High Point Market.
It's been installed for a little over a week, and one of my watermelon plants is already climbing the trellis.
I'm so excited about completing this project because this veggie bed, in particular, is the one that I've been looking forward to the most.
So sit back and relax, and watch us struggle to install it. The hard days' work will be well worth it.

Good job girl!! Love me some cattle panels for everything 😊
Thank you and I think I’m hooked in on the cattle panel as well! I’m already thinking about building another one to grow some more
Wow!...you are going to have a great harvest! I love the black beds! It looks great:)
I sure hope so! Thank you so much my friend!
Superbe vidéo
A bientôt
Thank you
@@GardenscapesbyKae c'est avec plaisir 😊
Ohh!! I was so excited to hear that you’re a designer. I just think that is so cool😊
I also did a cattle panel from tractor supply and rigged that puppy with some t post clips. I also highly recommend a post pounder if you feel you’ll be using more t posts in the future(not that you didn’t handle it with that hammer!) I had to use a bolt cutter to cut my panel down to size…you’re totally getting it done!
Oh friend that mallet wore me out I’ll def be getting a tpost pounder in the future because never again lol. My arms were burning
❤❤❤
😍😍😍
Hi Kae! I have 6 garden beds (2 rows of 3) that I am trying to think through trellises and your thought process of the cattle panel and the tomato trellises brought me to your videos AND you painted everything black which is exactly what I’ve been considering! I totally think and rethink and turn over all these ideas in my head and put in time going back and forth to garden supply stores and wondering if it will “look right” in the end and will it work the way I want it (not to mention the money and time invested in building etc). Yours look so awesome and your idea of putting peppers on the sides of the watermelon trellis so they can hang on too when they get a few feet tall was smart! I hope to build and add some taller beds around 3 sides of my 6 flatter beds (there is a fence along the fourth side). You are so impressive building your own. I make my husband do the building. He doesn’t seem to mind. 😅 I am so glad I found your videos. I will watch this season as your veggies grow. I never considered okra but maybe I’ll try that as a living trellis. Happy Sunday!
Hey Ellie!!!!!! Welcome to the channel my sweet friend and I am so glad you found me as well. Believe it or not I go back and forth like that too on the inside of my house lol. Your garden sounds so fun and I hope you can build your trellises this season and grow everything you’ve been dreaming of! Thank you so much for sharing your story I wish I could see your garden as well, maybe send it to me on Instagram? Love hearing others garden stories and I hope this growing season is fun for you as well!!! 😍😍😍😍😍
Looks awesome!! I think I might do mine similar..
Yessssss!!!! Do it! What would you grow on it?
