the qurupeco sonic bomb makes all the small monster exit the area, really good when you want to just collet materials and iopreys keep spawning in that area
Here's a man who saw a somewhat complicated game and said "I'm going to break down all these mechanics so more people can enjoy it." for free. Ofc UA-cam revenue I'm sure, but we the people don't pay anything and I think that's amazing. Keep up the great work!
Alchemy Style I feel is very underrated! I played XX solo-only and it was my primary style used with my beloved CB all the way through Atoraru Ka/G4+/Deviant Diablos. It's like bringing party mode to the game (for fun/laughs with your alchemy keg) with the added bonuses of never needing to bring whetstones, hunter art drinks, stamina foods, and earplugs while also adding free sonic bombs, healing items, egg bombs, and everything with SP4 (tooooons of function to go with the party time fun). Love Alchemy style 🤗🙌💜
Currently playing GU, and I use alchemy style in some capacity on all my weapons, big fan of it for the hp regen and immunizers so my hp recovery isn't anywhere near as limited as usual, and I also bring alchemy when I need part breaks since it makes them a bit easier. I play it a decent amount solo, but I opt for it a lot in multiplayer since I can pretty much keep everyone in sp mode forever with the alchemy II-IV benefits.
I play guild style as a switch axe user but I may change if alchemy is really good with it. I'm so hyped for this game when MHW dropped I thought we would never get it, I'm so happy to be wrong about that.
Ray Hyoton Alchemy SA is pretty good; you retain most of the guild moveset, and you also gain the ability to do a fast phial charge that works the same as Energy Charge but without giving the affinity.
Try it out in the demo! Just make a Japanese account and download it. Alchemy style is super good and underrated. I mean free part breaker and life regen 6 minutes into the hunt + 3 arts i trade that against adept, valor and arial every day. Killed Valstrax with alchemy gunlance everything is possible with this style.
I started playing alchemy style for the first time recently and this is what I have to say: If valor mode is for efficiency and is commonly used for speed runs, solo hunts, or just to do big damage, then alchemy is designed for playing online with randoms. And man is it fun. People usually preach damage boosting skills and blah blah blah but 50%+ of randoms I play with don’t use meta builds or aren’t perfect at the game and use meta as a crutch (not a complaint, just a fact that normal people play the game, hell I use evade extender). Alchemy helps balance the odds. If someone keeps getting hit and refuses to heal, I’ve got SP recovery and a healing barrel. If we’re doing well and the monster topples, I can throw down what I call the Hype Bomb and we all get a huge Hunter Art meter boost. Alchemy shines the LONGER a hunt goes on. So when during deviant or hyper quests where we only have 1 cart left it usually feels like there’s no way we can make it, but if all the alchemy buffs and SP are activated, it becomes significantly easier to pull through with some clutch wins. Alchemy boosts your hunter arts, Hunter arts boost your alchemy, and SP Hunter arts boost your alchemy further and make you stronger. And the momentum just keeps going, especially after the 5-10 minute mark. Oh and I forgot to mention that Alchemy Switch Axe is also just crazy strong so it’s not like I’m sacrificing damage to support. TLDR: alchemy is fun online with randoms, some of the most fun I’ve had in GenU and I’m glad I finally tried it before Rise dropped. Thank you gaijin, this guide helped me get into it!
For anyone who uses LS in World, plans to get MHGU and likes Vaal's Super Recovery: Alchemy LS, with the Demon Sword hunter art(not sure what the translated name will be), pretty much does the same. SP3 Health Regen + Vitality Item + aggressive play style and a Crit Boost based set and you'll be good to go.
I was not expecting this to be this good lol Edit: I am only on the demo but I sm amazed at how good alchemy LS feels. Gonna pick up the game and see about your build
At first I was like imagine HH alchemy! But then I remembered how overwhelmed I get just by an unorganized and constantly dying team to were I give up and focus on buffing myself and whacking the monster to death.
This is another reason why I'm hyped for MHGU. I have MHXX, but because I couldn't understand the language, I didn't know 90% of this information in this video. Now I'm gonna give this style a go.
They might as well call it switch sword. I'm especially excited for perpetual SP mode, which will help the energy charge skill fill up even faster, in fact if energy charge is set as the SP skill, you'd maintain it through the whole hunt. From there, have a Keg Meister on your team and you'll have permanent SP IV in no time.
I cannot wait to play this game and I'm glad GaijinHunter has our back. Before World I'd only played Freedom and Freedom Unite, so I get the feeling I'm going to have to jack myself into the Matrix again to learn a bunch of new Monster Hunter stuff. Thanks GaijinHunter!
Nice work as always, Gaijin! I'll be in the look for when Alchemy can be more interesting than Striker, but again, I'm so keen on Brave Funlance that I don't know if Alchemy will even see the light of day here haha
Thanks SP mode puzzled me for some time, top weapons for this would be any weapon with good hunter arts, sword and shield, duel blades, Switch Axe, Gunlance even I think....Long sword...
Alchemy LS is a thing, and is pretty much like having Vaal's Super recovery x2(+ Health Augment with the Demon Sword HA) while still being able to have an offensive set. The moves are a bit simplified though.
It's a pity but as a mainly solo player this style doesn't amuse me at all, but I guess with a party of 4 it is enjoyable. I may try it but I think I'll focus on learning how to Valor LS, or I'll stick with the classic Adept DB for really hard challenges, even with that Spin2Win MVs modified . I'd like to stick with Prowlers too, I've trained some Guard/Collect ones in Gen to see if they can go trought G Rank in solo despite the massive nerf on this wonderful weapon xD
LOL 500 hours in and I just learned about SP mode... I always thought SP mode was something related to Alchemy style, so didn't bother looking into it.
As a gunner, Adept style has always been the most appealing choice to go with, but Alchemy style sounds way more compelling to me personally as it would suit my playstyle more. Decisions, decisions...
This seems fun. Already imagining a badass alchemy hunting horn user. Does the gradual health recovery skill stack with other alchemy user's? Would be wild if it did!
Without the touchscreen crafting shortcuts I think it will be pretty difficult to make effective use of the Alchemy Slickaxe. Possibly the only downside to GU being Switch only
Is Alchemy Style actually usable on the late game? As a Hunting Horn main the support on this makes me tingle with excitement but all that shaking seem even slower than trying to encore a perform on G Rank. Feels like I'd be carting left and right desperately trying to find an opening to shake. Heck even just that area healing barrel seemed to take forever to go off!
i tried it on hh, sns and light bowgun. on the horn it's not the best because you spend a lot of time away from the monster, you need to get away, stow your weapon and shake, then come back and hit it sns remove the stow away part, but adept stile works better for support because the adept sns doge make a jumping attack and if you pair that with a status weapon and the exhaust oil you can get a lot of cc imho it works better with the lb, you are already away from the monster, it's fast to stow away and the bullet are like normal2, and you get a lot of them, if you pair that with status bullet and elemental one you can have a lot of utility

Gentile McCuckerson In xx/gu they either reverted the gen stun nerfs or did somtheing to make it inbetween gen and 4u. Either way it has more stun at least on it's ultra if I'm not mistaken.
Alchemy isn't really a full "support" style, since most of the items only affect you and have to go out of your way to give them out. Most of HH's arts aren't that good either. Guild and Brave are good styles for HH, and considering Guild SP lets you use items faster, it'll let you abuse Wide Range a lot.
Hey! I'm a huge MH fan! But I'm torn apart. After worlds was announced to be missing the switch I was seriously salty. Since then, I have gotten hold of the PS4. So here's my question do I hunker down and just buy worlds or do I wait and play double cross on the switch. I have played all the 3ds titles

Its totally worth the full price. And the end-game won't piss you off if you take it slow, ABSOLUTELY DO NOT push yourself unless you want to. The Devs just gave everyone some good decos in a log-in bonus so they might give you the one you'd want. Plus being on PC= free online so you can take on tougher monsters much easier.
I’m confused on how SP works like if you get SP3, do you get the buffs from the last two tiers alongside the hp regen, or do you only get the hp regen?
Holy crap I didn’t expect you to reply, but yeah thanks it definitely makes sense I just misheard you explaining the system. One last question, would it be viable to go alchemy style on a hunting horn if one wanted to go full support? The armor skills and weapon on deviant malfestio seem to work well enough with it, but I’d like to get some insight from an expert on its viability.

Ok I actually like alchemy style with my heavy bow - gun don't judge before you try it out!
Ughhh you got me so damn hype with this game Aug 28 can’t come fast enough so bored of worldddddd

Is Alchemy Style actually usable on the late game? As a Hunting Horn main the support on this makes me tingle with excitement but all that shaking seem even slower than trying to encore a perform on G Rank. Feels like I'd be carting left and right desperately trying to find an opening to shake. Heck even just that area healing barrel seemed to take forever to go off!
i tried it on hh, sns and light bowgun.
on the horn it's not the best because you spend a lot of time away from the monster, you need to get away, stow your weapon and shake, then come back and hit it
sns remove the stow away part, but adept stile works better for support because the adept sns doge make a jumping attack and if you pair that with a status weapon and the exhaust oil you can get a lot of cc
imho it works better with the lb, you are already away from the monster, it's fast to stow away and the bullet are like normal2, and you get a lot of them, if you pair that with status bullet and elemental one you can have a lot of utility
BM03 honestly mhgen was a flinch, mount, status and stun fest with a trapper here and there, then there's the CB bufs and chaos oils. Imo I think HH would be pushing it but I bet you could find openings.
Stowing your weapon isn't an issue, you can hold R+Y while you roll to instantly take out your barrel and stow your weapon.

I’m confused on how SP works like if you get SP3, do you get the buffs from the last two tiers alongside the hp regen, or do you only get the hp regen?
You get all the past tiers as well
Holy crap I didn’t expect you to reply, but yeah thanks it definitely makes sense I just misheard you explaining the system. One last question, would it be viable to go alchemy style on a hunting horn if one wanted to go full support? The armor skills and weapon on deviant malfestio seem to work well enough with it, but I’d like to get some insight from an expert on its viability.
I dunno I guess? SnS I think is better for support but that’s just me ^^
Wait, how do you give the alchemy items to team mates ? I thought that they will automatically get the benefit too when I use the alchemy item ?
Does the effect of the skill " insight " stack with brave SP Mode
11:24 So, with the time spent on the GenU tutorials, there won't be any World weapon tutorials any time soon? It's been a while since the last one.
This kinda makes striker style obsolete though huh?
Please let alchemy sns be viable
cool Beans
Hey if anyone has played double cross is alchemy HBG any good?
Wich is better? Striker SA/SnS or Alchemy SA/SnS?
SuperRitz44
Striker for offensive capability, alchemy for group support
